Our highly acclaimed kaiseki cuisine is carefully crafted dish by dish, featuring blessings from the land of Hira’s famed pure waters, delicacies from Lake Biwa, and carefully selected seafood delivered directly from nearby waters. Guest rooms on the Lake Biwa side offer breathtaking lake views. The large public bath with radium ore water includes a sauna, and two private baths are available free of charge at any time.

  • Perfect for Families

    We stayed as a family of three.We chose a Japanese-style Room, and it was very spacious—so even I, with my loud snoring, could sleep comfortably. I was also looking forward to having a massage chair in the Room, and I enjoyed it thoroughly.The meals were satisfying, with a great variety of dishes from fish to meat and more, offering plenty of color and flavor. The bath was a comfortable size, and since the Accommodation wasn’t crowded, we could relax in the tub at our own pace.The area around the Accommodation is quiet. The wind can be strong, but we were able to take an early morning walk, and the sunrise over the lake was simply beautiful.We had fun playing table tennis together as a family, and we could also stroll around the inner garden. It’s a great place for those who value “enjoying time at the Accommodation.”We would like to stay again.

Enjoy refreshed, simple yet functional Rooms, private baths redesigned for an open-air feel, and a lobby where a gently glowing fireplace invites you to unwind with complimentary drinks… We’ve kept what you love and renewed everything to make your stay even more comfortable.

All Rooms in the main building come with a massage chair and offer a front-row view of Lake Biwa. Relax and unwind in your massage chair at your leisure. Wake up to the calm, soothing scenery of Lake Biwa as soon as you open your eyes. We offer Japanese-style, Western-style, and Japanese-Western style Rooms—please enjoy a peaceful stay in the Room you prefer.

A desire for guests to enjoy great food

~ It’s a shame to enjoy ingredients only at their “peak season” ~ Each ingredient has its own phases—“first of the season / peak season / lingering season”—and even the same ingredient changes in flavor and best preparation depending on the time of year. For guests staying at our Accommodation, we serve “first-of-the-season,” “in-season,” and “end-of-season” ingredients that can only be enjoyed right now. With the hope of making your dining experience with your companions richer, more enjoyable, and full of lively conversation, we have created our kaiseki cuisine. We promise a delightful culinary experience where you can discover the charm of many seasonal ingredients.

Lake Biwa

Omi-Maiko Beach with crystal-clear waters right in front of you

Right in front of our property lies Omi-Maiko Beach, known for having some of the clearest water on Lake Biwa. The view can be enjoyed from every guest room in the main building. In the evening, you can watch the sun set into the lake, and at night—true to its nickname “Tsukimi Beach”—see the moon floating above and a magical “moon road” shimmering across the calm water. In summer, enjoy swimming in the lake just 10 seconds on foot from here; in other seasons, take a relaxing stroll along the shore.
