    Many guests stay here, and the food is delicious!

    I am a repeat guest at this accommodation. Compared to my previous stay, the front desk and valet staff were more pleasant, allowing me to relax during my visit. The foreign staff members were all very dedicated and kind, even to my elderly mother. Thank you very much. Although it gets quite crowded during breakfast due to the number of guests, the food is truly varied and delicious—I always end up eating too much! I am extremely satisfied and look forward to visiting again.

    Perfect for reunions!

    Usually, I visit with my wife, but this time I used the facility for a university club reunion. The Onsen was as comfortable as always with excellent temperature control. For meals, we requested a group arrangement at "Concadoro," and they kindly reserved a single table for us. Since all attendees were nearing 80 years old, the buffet-style dining where everyone could choose their own food was very well-received. After dinner, we enjoyed sparkling illuminations and held a lively gathering in the karaoke room. We intentionally booked multiple twin Rooms to ensure everyone had a comfortable rest. The next day's memorable encounter with the "panda" was also greatly appreciated by everyone. As the reunion organizer, I believe this venue provided an exceptional setting for our event.

    Great accommodation for families.

    The view from the Room is great, and the Facility has been renovated with a pool, making it ideal for families. The buffet offers good quality and quantity, but it takes quite some time to get food, so 90 minutes felt a bit short. Tourist attractions are nearby, and the cost-performance is excellent.

    Panda Tour

    I hurried to visit Shirahama as the pandas were being returned. The view of the sea from the window was beautiful, and the Onsen was excellent. Additionally, the food featured many local specialties, and the sea bream sashimi was outstanding. I would definitely like to visit again. The staff were kind, making it a wonderful memory along with the pandas. Thank you very much!

    Highly recommended.

    We stayed as a group of five, including my in-laws and daughter. The special accommodation had two rooms, allowing us to relax comfortably. The Onsen was pleasant, and the buffet included local dishes that were delicious. Despite being a large Hotel, there were only two elevators, which resulted in long waiting times. Other than that, we were satisfied and would like to stay again.

    Great value for money.

    I stayed for the purpose of visiting Adventure World, and it was a great experience. The room was excellent, the view from the room was amazing, the bath was wonderful, and the buffet meals were delightful. The cost-performance ratio was very good. However, I thought it would be nice to have course meals available at a restaurant in addition to the buffet, even if it meant higher prices.

    Elevator Access

    There are two elevators in the center of the Hotel, but they do not seem to be synchronized. Pressing the up button on one does not activate the up button on the other, so you need to press each up button separately, which is a bit inconvenient.

    I had a relaxing time.

    I had been avoiding staying since the meals switched to a buffet style. It's been a while since my last visit to Koganoi Bay. The Facility felt quite old. However, the service was polite and pleasant. The meals offered a wide variety, were delicious, and there was little waiting time, allowing for a quiet and relaxed dining experience. Next time, I would like to stay with my grandchildren.

    This was my first vi...

    This was my first visit. Since it was a weekday, it wasn't too crowded, but as it's an established Hotel, there were quite a few people. The building shows its age, but the staff were incredibly kind and very attentive. Everyone greeted us with smiles, making our stay very pleasant—thank you! The bath was spacious, and the standing bath was particularly enjoyable. Complimentary drinks provided after bathing were also delicious.

    The spacious view is magnificent.

    This was my first visit. The view of Tanabe Bay was arguably the best in Shirahama. The standing open-air Onsen was very comfortable. I was slightly concerned about the aging of the Facility.

    As of 2025, COVID-19 measures are still in place, including spacing and conversation restrictions in the bath.

    The meals and the bath were quite good. There was apple vinegar juice available after bathing, and the view from the room was lovely. However, I noticed prominent notices at both the men's and women's bath entrances about maintaining distance and limiting conversations as part of COVID-19 measures, with possible entry restrictions during bathing. This made me wonder if other aspects of the accommodation might also be outdated if these notices were left unchanged from before. If this is still being enforced in 2025 with plans to continue such measures indefinitely, it would make me uneasy about when I might be cautioned for talking in the bath, making it difficult to consider staying here again. I have not seen anything like this at other hotels in 2025, so it was truly surprising.

    The bath left a great impression last time, so I decided to stay again. This time, my impression was refreshed. **Welcome:** The staff seemed a bit uncoordinated at first glance, but each of them showed genuine care and effort. **Front Desk:** The smiling faces at the front desk were welcoming and made both arrival and departure pleasant experiences. **Room:** As expected, the room was spacious and perfect. **Bath:** The bath had a sense of openness with moderately hot water—perfect for relaxing slowly. The orange-flavored apple vinegar drink after bathing was delicious! **Breakfast:** I enjoyed a Japanese-style breakfast this time, which tasted even better than during my previous visit. Despite being busy, the buffet staff were attentive to guests' needs and maintained excellent service. One request: Please replace the glass in some areas of the men's bath washing stations that haven't been updated yet. I'll definitely visit again!

    Is it the Hotel Koganoi?

    Over 50 years ago, I visited Hotel Koganoi with my parents. Although my memories are vague as I was very young, I fondly recall the trip to Shirahama. This time, it’s a mini Kumano Kodo pilgrimage with my wife. The bath temperature was perfect for me, displayed at 41.1 degrees Celsius.

    April 14th to April 15th, Year 7: Shirahama Koganoi Resort & Spa Accommodation

    The Room was spacious with plush carpets, and the view from the window was fantastic. The meals (buffet with two meals included) offered a wide variety of delicious options. The large public bath was spacious, and the outdoor bath was uniquely deep at 1.2 meters, allowing for a relaxing walk inside. I enjoyed sleeping in until morning, had breakfast at 8 AM, and took the shuttle bus to Shirahama Station at 10:50 AM, feeling completely refreshed both physically and mentally. It was an absolutely wonderful Hotel that I would love to visit again!

    Stay in a twin room ...

    Stay in a twin room with three people. An extra bed will be set up on the sofa for the third person, but it may feel uncomfortable due to the springs. The steak at the buffet is tough.

    Drawn to the Hot Springs of Shirahama

    This was our second trip to Shirahama Onsen this year, following our New Year visit. We chose this Hotel with a heated pool as we were traveling with our grandchildren. The Hotel was selected with the grandchildren in mind, and they had a great time. The restaurant operated on a two-seating system and was very crowded, but we were satisfied with the buffet meals. The Room was very quiet, and the bath resembling a pool had excellent Onsen water that we thoroughly enjoyed. However, it was disappointing that the bed springs were weak and the pillows didn’t suit us at all, so we ended up sleeping without pillows. The welcome drinks and post-bath drinks featuring plum products from Wakayama were delightful touches.

    This was my second stay.

    The staff's kind assistance with parking upon arrival was impressive. Dinner (Japanese cuisine at Kamishima) was delightful, featuring dishes like sashimi and sea bream rice. Breakfast (buffet) was also enjoyable, thanks to the excellent service from the staff, making the slight crowding unnoticeable. I would love to stay here again if I have the chance. Thank you!

    Great value for money

    The view from the Room and the garden illumination were both wonderful. Both dinner and breakfast had a wide variety of delicious options. The ice cream at dinner, French toast at breakfast, and the freshly made rice balls were particularly delicious.

    Hotel where you can fully enjoy your stay

    I have used it many times. First of all, the bath is wonderful. It is deep and spacious, allowing you to relax. The illuminations around the Hotel are cute. The meals also have a wide variety and are very satisfying. All the staff members are pleasant people. I am thinking of using it again.

    Thank you for your hospitality. I was very pleased with the courteous service of the staff. The food was delicious, and my elderly mother also enjoyed it. However, the only concern was that our table was placed between families with children, which made it somewhat dangerous when going to and from the buffet. If possible, it would be appreciated if groups with elderly members and those with children could be seated separately. Nonetheless, I would love to visit again if given the opportunity.

    We stayed in a special Japanese-style room with three friends for one night from February 10th. We were able to stay at a good price by using coupons. Since it was Koganoi in Nanki Shirahama, my expectations might have been too high, but here is my review. - Room: It was spacious and convenient, and I was satisfied. However, having only one key for the room was very inconvenient. In the past 10 years of using various hotels domestically, Koganoi is the only place with just one key. I hope this can be improved. - Large Public Bath: Both the indoor bath and open-air bath had temperatures and water quality that suited my preferences, allowing me to fully enjoy the onsen comfortably. It would have been even better if there were gender swaps between night and morning. - Meals: Both meals were buffets; while I think the taste is good, I felt that both variety and quality could be improved considering it's Koganoi. - Overall: There were some areas where I felt a sense of oldness overall. (1) The wallpaper in many places including elevator halls is peeling off. (2) Out of three private rooms in the men's restroom on 2F (near smoking area), two are Japanese-style toilets.

    A bit disappointing

    When I visited around the same time last year, there were plenty of dishes, but this time it was a series of "please wait" and neither the meat nor tempura was ready, which was very disappointing. The Room was spacious and nice when we chose a Japanese-style room, but it smelled dusty and my son couldn't stop coughing. It was fine when we stayed in a Western-style room. The Onsen is really nice and the front desk staff were kind and good. Foreigners just stood around without being much help. It might be unavoidable though.
