    Buffet Service/Pool Information

    The response/service during the dinner/breakfast buffet was unpleasant/unsatisfactory. Specifically, firstly, the point where the guide staff assigns seats. In other hotels, with a buffet style, you can basically sit wherever you like. Next, the dishes were disappointing, being below the level of a family restaurant. Also, perhaps due to poor buffet flow, the congestion of lines and people passing by left me exhausted from the morning. Furthermore, while we were still eating and relaxing, the staff tried to clear the dishes, which was unpleasant. Regarding the pool, both the indoor and garden pools had entrances that were difficult to find, and not only our family but many others were lost. I think it would be helpful to add clearer signage or make other improvements.

    I indulged a little this time.

    This summer, I used IKYU.com to go to Shirahama Koganoi Resort & Spa for a 2-day, 1-night stay. I used it the year before last as well, but this year, I was able to stay at the [Refa Room] Bay Suite Ocean View Twin at a great price. Since my mom and eldest son stayed home for exams, it was just me, my eldest daughter (20 years old), second daughter (11 years old), and youngest son (15 years old). The Refa Room made my daughters very happy, and the room was really spacious with two separate beds, so my daughters, who didn't want to sleep with me, were very satisfied! We also enjoyed a buffet with lots of our favorite foods, and we were able to visit Shirarahama & Adventure World, making it a great memory. I'm looking forward to deciding where to stay next year!

    For a great family trip

    It was my first time visiting Shirahama, and since it was midsummer and too hot, I was grateful for the shuttle bus from Shirahama Station. We arrived quite early before the check-in time, but we were happy to complete the procedures first and use the garden pool with the family. The garden pool and the indoor pool are not directly connected, which was a bit confusing, but being able to use the dehumidifier at the entrance of the indoor pool was very helpful. (Afterwards, we dried our clothes in the Room, and they dried well.) By having a late dinner, we were able to relax in the Room and take a leisurely bath. The open-air bath with standing water was lukewarm, which was perfect for me as I am not good with hot water. The free drinks after the bath, a mix of apple vinegar and mandarin or yuzu, were easy to drink, and the children enjoyed them too. The dinner had so many dishes that didn't seem like a buffet, and I feel like I couldn't enjoy everything in one go. Everything was delicious. It would be nice to have an all-you-can-drink alcohol option. The Facility is an old building, so there are some places where you can feel its age, but both the Room and the interior were kept very clean, so we were comfortable throughout our stay. There were also foreign staff members, but everyone was polite and attentive. Thank you very much.

    The pool is excellent.

    I found an affordable plan for a trip with my grandchild during the summer vacation, including a pool, Onsen, and buffet, and was very satisfied. My grandchild liked it so much that they want to stay for two nights next time. There are two pools, indoor and outdoor, with fluffy bath towels available for unlimited use, so there's no need to bring your own towel. The indoor pool can only be accessed from the large public bath, so it would have been nice if it could be accessed from outside. The open-air bath in the large public bath has a garden and infinity feel, and it was nice to relax and soak in the light-up. There is also a spacious, independent bathroom in the room. Dinner included sushi, salt-grilled sweetfish, steak, and more, and I ended up eating too much. The rolled omelet for breakfast was very delicious. Located on a hill, you can see beautiful scenery from the balcony, as well as the light-up garden. It was too hot to do much sightseeing, so I would like to visit again within the year.

    I'm glad I could go!

    Spacious rooms with a relaxing view, Onsen that soothes the body and mind, and delicious and varied cuisine made for an enjoyable stay! Each staff member was very attentive, and I was surprised at how kind they were even during busy times. The grilled fish and shumai were my favorites, and I hope the person who made the shumai experiences 100 good things. It was truly delicious. I was also very grateful for the many water points set up along the way from the room to the large bath, next to the sauna, and in the changing room. It was my first trip to Wakayama, and I'm glad I visited here. Thank you for the wonderful time.

    Everything is satisfactory.

    There are indoor and garden pools, and we were able to enjoy them until the last minute. The indoor pool was conveniently connected directly from the bath. There was also a small spin dryer, which was convenient. The directions to the garden pool were a bit confusing, so it would be helpful if they were clearer. The bath towels were unlimited, which was helpful. The meals were also very satisfying. The staff were kind and very pleasant. The view was great, and the night illumination visible from the room was very beautiful. The illumination of the open-air bath was also beautiful, and the children were delighted. I would like to stay again.

    Satisfied.

    This is my several-time use. It was as comfortable as ever. I was pleased that the beds were arranged together to prevent my child from falling, and the staff responded kindly. The service of freely available towels when using the pool and Onsen is extremely helpful. I would like to visit again.

    Shirahama Koganoi Resort & Spa is more relaxing than a hotel in Hawaii.

    Shirahama Koganoi Resort & Spa is a Resort Hotel where my eldest son said he could relax more than at a hotel in Hawaii, and I agree. The interior of the building is a comfortable space and a Resort Hotel with spaciousness in everything. The view from the Room and the terrace is wide, and the scenery in front is wonderful! Next time, I will attach photos. Please take a look.

    I stayed at Koga no ...

    I stayed at Koga no I for the first time on a birthday trip. At check-in, I was surprised with a cute towel handkerchief as a gift, and they kindly took a commemorative photo, which they gave me upon departure. The room was spacious and clean, with a separate toilet, washroom, and bath, allowing for a comfortable stay. The buffet for dinner and breakfast offered more dishes than I could eat, and everything was delicious. The illumination at night was stunningly beautiful. The staff provided attentive service with smiles, paying attention to every detail. I would love to stay at Koga no I again. Thank you for the wonderful memories.

    Second time

    If you are staying in Shirahama, this Hotel is my favorite. After all, they welcome you warmly! All rooms have an ocean view. If you are bringing a dog, it seems they can be taken care of in the neighboring cottage. I wish I had known earlier so I could have brought mine. We relax in the Room since we don't use the pool. It's a bit disappointing that there are no shelves in the public bath's washing area to place your own brushes and such. However, the changing room has lockers with keys, so it's safe. It's just that it was hot, and there were only two fans. It's a bit cramped. We waited until we finished changing. But in terms of food, the buffet is delicious. It's a shame there's no squid. The mikan chicken hot pot we had before is delicious. The onigiri made fresh in the morning is delicious. The restaurant staff are foreigners from Myanmar. They guide you in Japanese. They are nervous but are doing their best to serve customers. There is also a souvenir shop, but it might be a bit small. We went to buy nearby. If there is another opportunity to stay at a reasonable price, I would like to stay with my first grandchild next time. Thank you very much!

    More than just a price

    We stayed with an affordable Plan, but there was no compromise in quality. The meals were served buffet-style with a wide variety of delicious options, and the Onsen and changing rooms were well-maintained, allowing us to enjoy a pleasant stay.

    I stayed for the first time in 5 years. It's still my favorite hotel. The bath, meals, view, and room were all clean, and even though it was raining, there was a pool, so it was no problem. The children could play, and it was a satisfying trip.

    We borrowed yellow celebratory vests for my 88-year-old mother and 80-year-old aunt's celebration, received photos and gifts, and they were very happy. The Room was spacious, and the grandchildren enjoyed playing in the pool and watching the illuminations. Every meal was delicious. I thought it might be far from the sea, but the view was fantastic. I would like to stay at this Hotel again when I visit Shirahama next time. Thank you very much.

    Full from the buffet

    It was bustling with many guests. The room was spacious with an ocean view, but unfortunately, it was raining. If it had been sunny, you could have had a beautiful view of the sea. Meals were buffet-style for both breakfast and dinner, and we ate to our heart's content. There were many dishes prepared at the live kitchen, which was great. The amenities in the room were lacking, which was a disappointing point. However, I would like to visit again.

    Birthday trip

    We used it for a friend's birthday trip. The Room was the largest Japanese-style Room, and as soon as we entered, everyone was overjoyed, exclaiming how spacious it was! The toilet and bath were also spacious and extremely nice. The large public bath was great, but it was disappointing that the drinks in front of the sauna were empty. Dinner was a buffet. Everyone was very satisfied as they could choose as much as they liked of what they wanted. We ordered a cake for a birthday surprise, and it was delivered at 9:30 PM. Although they kindly offered to take a photo, everyone was fast asleep, so we politely declined and enjoyed it deliciously after 10 PM! We were given a bear towel as a gift, and my friend was delighted. Thank you very much. We also went for a morning bath, ate until we were full, and even took a nap before checking out, making it a very satisfying trip to Wakayama. Thank you very much.

    Favorite Hotel

    This year is the second time in April and June. Both my husband and my son's family like it, and my grandchildren look forward to the pool and illuminations every year. The staff are pleasant, and the food is delicious, which we look forward to every time. The Room is spacious with an inner door, making it a comfortable Room. I even think I want to go again this year!

    The ultimate relaxation

    We went to enjoy a relaxing onsen and delicious meals as a couple. It was my husband's fourth visit and my second, and it's one of my husband's favorite stays. We visit Shirahama every year except in summer, and Koganoi-san always satisfies us. We prefer kaiseki cuisine for dinner and enjoy it while sitting leisurely. Each dish is delicious, and the overflowing sake! As sake enthusiasts, we were thrilled. The staff's hospitality is excellent. The female staff during the kaiseki was cheerful and pleasant, making the delicious food even more enjoyable. We will definitely visit again. Thank you very much.

    The toilet is...

    The meals were delicious, and the atmosphere was great when I used the large public bath in the morning. Overall, it was good, but the washlet in the Room's toilet was dirty. I feel disappointed.

    This was my fourth stay with a Multiple Night Stay, and the staff at the Hotel are always kind and courteous, making it a pleasant experience. The dinner buffet seemed to have slightly decreased in quality, possibly due to rising prices. There were fewer types of sashimi, perhaps because the previous time was exceptionally good. However, the taste of the other dishes was spot on! I will definitely repeat my stay.

    I stayed with my children. The surroundings were full of families, and the large public bath and buffet restaurant were also full of families and children, so it might not be recommended for couples who want to spend a quiet time. However, for families with energetic children who also want to enjoy the Hotel, I think it's great. The Facility may be old, but old and dirty are different. I think it is well maintained. There are plenty of options for both dinner and breakfast, and they are delicious. The shop sells diapers, contact lens cases, and daily necessities, which is helpful. I would be happy if I could have coffee in the Room, not just tea... It was an enjoyable stay, thank you.

    June trip during plum harvest season

    The Onsen was very nice. The drink service was always cold and refreshing after a bath. The room was spacious and allowed for a relaxing stay, but I found it a bit uncomfortable that the bath and toilet were together. The meals were satisfying as they were buffet-style. I felt that the alcohol was expensive since there was no all-you-can-drink option.

    I was able to relax!

    I used it to visit Adventure World. The room, onsen, meals, and atmosphere allowed me to slowly heal from daily fatigue. The bath was open and pleasant. I chose the kaiseki meal, and there was a wide variety of sake, allowing me to enjoy my meal leisurely. I couldn't finish the last rice dish and wanted to take it back to the room, but it wasn't allowed, which was disappointing. Perhaps there are concerns about food poisoning and other issues. When I asked the front desk about access to tourist spots, they kindly provided detailed information, which was really helpful. It's close to Osaka, and I would like to visit again.

    The stay at Shirahama Koganoi Resort & Spa booked through IKYU was excellent in every aspect. The view from the room was great, and the room was clean with tidy beds and sheets, equipped with an air purifier and sterilizer. The air in the room was refreshing. Dinner was the same as before, but breakfast had a richer variety. I would like to use it again in the future.
