    The best overall Hotel in Fukuoka! Completely satisfied with everything! This is my second stay, and I will continue to stay at Hotel Okura Fukuoka for future business trips to Fukuoka.

    A long-established Japanese Hotel with attentive service throughout

    We stayed to celebrate my son’s career change. The spacious lobby was beautifully decorated, featuring objects of cherry trees in full bloom alongside marble columns. The celebratory message and thoughtful baked treats, the large bath, well-stocked amenities, and complimentary newspaper service were all hallmarks of a long-established Japanese Hotel. That sense of reassurance led to the ultimate relaxation.

    A Japanese Hotel Known for Warm Hospitality

    I usually stay at international chain Hotels, so it was a rare experience for me to stay at one of Japan’s long-established flagship Hotels. The natural hospitality built up over many years felt genuinely comforting, and I’d like to stay again. The Facility isn’t necessarily new, but the staff’s hospitality is excellent. Even when simply passing through the lobby, they always greet you pleasantly and respond with consistent courtesy. By the way, perhaps because many guests are affluent, I was surprised by the unusual experience of staff never mentioning money at all. Even when staying on a No Meals Included Plan, they smoothly guide you to breakfast, and you only find out the price when you receive the receipt—there was a distinct “different world” feel compared with other places. *This is pure surprise, not a complaint.* The upgraded Room came with SEKKISEI amenities, which were very high quality. One minor point: having frosted sliding doors instead of a shower curtain in the bathroom feels a bit old-fashioned. Also, I’d be happier if items like mizutaki hot pot and ramen at the breakfast buffet were just a little more delicious.

    Terrible service at the front desk.

    I stayed for two nights. Thank you for preparing what I requested in advance. On the first night, I went to the far-left counter to settle my bill early and purchase breakfast vouchers for the second day, but I was told twice, “Once you buy them, you can’t cancel even if you don’t eat—are you sure?” The way it was said felt very unpleasant. The staff member was a slim woman in her late 40s to 50s with a short bob haircut. When I showed my Harmonique Club card (I wasn’t sure how to use it and thought it might Earn Points), she asked, “Does this mean you want to use points?” I was caught off guard. I was shocked by how poor the service was.

    As expected from Okura, the fridge was stocked with drinks, so I didn’t have to go out and buy any—great hospitality. For the price, though, it’s a bit disappointing that the toilet and bath are still combined.

    I had a comfortable and worry-free stay.

    I arrived a little earlier than the Diamond member check-in time, but the staff assisted me right away and I was able to check in. They also carried my suitcase to my Room, which was very helpful. Perhaps because I was staying for university entrance exams, they arranged a top-floor Room for me, and I was able to focus on studying. I usually can’t sleep when the bed is different—even at luxury Hotels—but here I was able to sleep peacefully. The cakes at the first-floor patisserie were outstanding, and I enjoyed them in my Room. I’m glad I chose Hotel Okura Fukuoka for my stay during the university entrance exams.

    First-class Hotel

    We stayed to celebrate my mother’s 88th birthday and to attend a performance at Hakataza. The calm, refined atmosphere and hospitality were truly what you’d expect from Okura. From the upgraded Room, we enjoyed watching planes take off and land over Hakata Bay, and we also received a message card and a gift of baked sweets—my mother was delighted. The location is excellent: we took the bus from in front of Hakataza to see the Hakataza illuminations, walked through the Nakasu-Kawabata Shopping Arcade, and visited Kushida Shrine. Being able to return to the Hotel for breaks meant we could fulfill all of my mother’s wishes. For us at an age where we want to enjoy the Hotel itself, it was a very comfortable stay. We were also satisfied with the Diamond benefits. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

    A Hotel Convenient for Theatergoing

    I stayed here to attend a performance at Hakataza. As expected of the long-established Hotel Okura, I was able to relax in a calm atmosphere with excellent service. I also ordered breakfast via room service, which was very soothing. With Hakataza next door and Nakasu within walking distance, the location was very convenient. I will stay here again when I come for another performance.

    The number one Hotel in Fukuoka.

    I chose this accommodation because it is close to Hakataza and was recommended by a friend. As my friend mentioned, the service was excellent—from having my luggage carried to the room during check-in, the polite greetings from maintenance staff, the heartfelt service at the restaurant, to the well-equipped room with amenities like a humidifier and bath salts. The breakfast was also exceptional. It truly felt like staying at a first-class hotel, comparable to my experience at Imperial Hotel. (The only slight disappointment was that check-out felt more like a Business Hotel.) Despite Hakataza's popular performances being held during my stay, thanks to IKYU.com, I received an upgraded room and enjoyed a luxurious theater trip. From now on, I plan to make Okura my regular accommodation when visiting Fukuoka!

    I always have a plea...

    I always have a pleasant stay. I often use room service, and it would be great if orders could be placed directly through the QR code menu. It would also be nice to have a breakfast bread set (including items like toast, croissants, and butter rolls).

    This was our first time staying here, although we often use accommodations in Kobe when our son and his wife visit or for other family gatherings. We stayed here for a visit to Hakataza Theater, and the staff kindly provided clear and helpful advice on how to make the most of our limited time after the performance. Thanks to their assistance, we had a meaningful sightseeing experience in Hakata. Thank you very much!

    A Hotel You Can Trust

    I chose Hotel Okura in Fukuoka as well. Just like Kyoto Hotel Okura, the staff's hospitality and the atmosphere were both top-notch. Since it was a business stay, safety and security were my top priorities. The staff's natural smiles and warm greetings of "Welcome back" were delightful, and many of the guests had a calm demeanor, allowing me to feel as comfortable as if I were at home. The breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes featuring local ingredients, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I would love to stay here again.

    Accompanied by my mother who requires Level 5 nursing care

    My mother, who suffered a cerebral hemorrhage a year ago, wanted to visit my sister in Fukuoka, so we traveled all the way from Tokyo to Fukuoka. Although she can stand and walk a little, she primarily uses a wheelchair for mobility. When I mentioned this during the Reservation process, the staff kindly arranged for us to stay near an elevator and provided a shower chair for assistance. Truly impressive service from a first-class Hotel! Additionally, I informed them that it was her 83rd birthday two days before our stay, and they surprised us with a birthday card and cookies as gifts. We were very touched by this thoughtful gesture. However, there was one challenge—the height of the entrance to the bath & shower room made it difficult to use comfortably. The shower chair provided was also quite large compared to the bathtub space, making movement challenging (laughs). Since she can still stand now, we managed somehow; however, I feel that this type of bathroom might be tough in the future. Other than that small issue, everything else was perfect and we had an enjoyable stay. Thank you very much! If we visit Fukuoka again in the future, we would definitely love to use your Accommodation again!

    I had a pleasant stay.

    Check-in was a bit earlier than usual, and thanks to the perks of being a Diamond member, the process went smoothly. I was grateful for the room upgrade and even received complimentary drink tickets as part of the benefits. In the evening, I enjoyed dinner at the sushi restaurant in the basement and had a relaxing time in my Room. Breakfast was also delicious. Above all, it was wonderful that every staff member I passed greeted me warmly. The only downside was that the toilet switch and paper holder were positioned slightly behind where you sit, making them a bit inconvenient to use. But I suppose that's unavoidable. Although it's a bit pricey for me, I would love to stay here again for both business trips and private occasions.

    The breakfast is delicious but slightly disappointing.

    Stayed in April for 2 nights (without breakfast), and this time for 3 nights (with breakfast). After staying for 3 nights (with breakfast) last September, I left a review suggesting improvements to the breakfast menu, such as varying the dishes more instead of repeating items like baked curry on Day 1 and Day 3 or changing hot pot options. The response at that time was an apology and acknowledgment of the challenge in keeping breakfasts fresh for guests with multiple night stays, along with a commitment to improve. However, this stay's breakfast offerings were almost identical to last September's. For my next stay at your accommodation, I may opt out of breakfast or limit it to one day. Other hotels offer multiple choices for breakfasts; I hope you will consider implementing similar services. Other aspects such as customer service were mostly satisfactory.

    A perfect Hotel for a safe and comfortable stay

    Recently, with the reservation of barrier-free rooms, even elderly guests can stay comfortably and with peace of mind. The staff always provide wonderful service, allowing us to have an incredibly enjoyable time. The sense of security is always exceptional.     From the moment I entered the lobby and checked in at the front desk, enjoyed a meal at "Yamazato" within the Hotel, had breakfast the next morning, and checked out, every staff member I encountered provided excellent service with a warm smile. This is truly what defines the "Okura brand," and it was impressive. Although it was just a one-night stay this time, it was truly comfortable. I will definitely use your services again.     Renovation needed.

    The entire facility features a unit bath, which may not be ideal for Japanese guests seeking relaxation unless there is an Onsen available. Given the age of the building, a full renovation separating the bath and toilet would be recommended. The bathtub is about 17 cm longer than usual, posing a potential risk for shorter individuals. Anti-slip measures in the bathtub are suggested.

    Hotel Okura Brand Quality

    Exceptional service quality. As a regular accommodation in Hakata, the moment you step into the lobby, you feel a sense of calm and comfort as if returning home. This time, I had the chance to enjoy the breakfast buffet after a while, and the addition of local dishes to the classic items was impressive. While the facility shows its age, it adds charm rather than deterioration.

    I stay here about twice a year. Even when staying in the most affordable room, whether with children or alone, the staff is always very kind and accommodating, which makes me happy.     Shopping is most convenient in Tenjin, and dining is best in Nakasu. Our Hotel is connected to Nakasu-Kawabata Station via an underground passage, making summer travel comfortable. Tenjin is just one subway stop away, offering great convenience. The service, Room quality, and dining are all top-notch—truly the Okura standard. Although I arrived much earlier than the check-in time, I was able to securely store my valuables and enjoy sightseeing hands-free. During meals, staff always asked about seating preferences with great attention to detail. The Room had a luxurious and functional design with a view overlooking the cityscape; the towels were wonderfully fluffy. The breakfast buffet was meticulously prepared dish by dish and incredibly delicious—the Hakata ramen even surpassed highly-rated ramen shops in town! I have stayed at several highly-rated hotels in Fukuoka, but this one was by far the best!

    The mango Danish was excellent.

    The taste of the melon Danish was unforgettable, and I always choose to stay at Okura when visiting Fukuoka. The July mango menu was also perfectly balanced with cream and absolutely delicious. The cream is adjusted to match the fruit, so the monthly blueberry option was refreshing and delightful as well. I look forward to staying again!

    Japanese Hotel Hospitality

    Despite our sudden Room request at check-in, the staff accommodated us graciously, allowing us to enjoy a very comfortable 2-night, 3-day stay. When our child accidentally soiled the bed sheets late at night, they promptly replaced them. The following day, the same staff member kindly checked in on us, showcasing heartwarming hospitality. Our first trip to Fukuoka became a truly wonderful memory. Great access, excellent hospitality, and delicious breakfast—when we visit again, we will definitely choose Okura!
