    Onsen is great, meals are excellent.

    The Onsen, meals, and service are always satisfying no matter when you visit. This time, the buffet featured delicious options like mini sukiyaki, mussels, and Mont Blanc desserts. The menu changes slightly with the seasons, making each visit enjoyable. I especially love the coffee service at the breakfast buffet; it’s absolutely delightful!

    It was my birth month.

    It was my first stay in a while, and since it was my birthday month, thank you for preparing celebratory sweets. This season, my husband has been busy with work, and I’ve been occupied with visiting the Expo. Since the Diamond Member benefits might end next term, I’m glad we could stay while the perks were still available. I always enjoy the buffet restaurant here because the staff are so attentive. The Onsen and other staff members also provide excellent service. I have stayed on the Club Floor several times before; it used to be reasonably priced and offered good value for money. However, over time, I felt that aspects like hors d'oeuvres, drink selections, and cleanup have declined slightly. For this reason, in recent years I've opted for either the Preferred or Spa Floor (though it doesn’t offer great views), as they allow direct access to the Onsen in yukata. With its direct connection to the station and an Onsen at such a reasonable price point, this accommodation is highly recommended!

    Onsen Facility

    I enjoyed relaxing in the Onsen at the Hotel. The quality of the water was excellent, and the post-bath relaxation room was spacious and comfortable. However, the Club Lounge was disappointing to a level where I questioned if it could even be called a Club Lounge. What stood out most were the stale cookies and wine that tasted almost like industrial alcohol, which was shocking. Immediate improvements are needed. I don't think I will stay on the club floor again. It was a good Hotel for enjoying the Onsen.

    When the air conditioner broke late at night, the staff quickly responded and prepared another room of the same grade for us. Thanks to their prompt action, my wife and I were able to spend the night comfortably. The private Onsen in the morning was very clean and absolutely satisfying. The breakfast was also delicious. We would love to stay here again!

    Blissful Moments with Onsen and Dining

    Second visit. Despite being in the city, the large Onsen bath with natural flowing hot spring water offers a blissful experience. This is an irresistible charm. Both dinner and breakfast are buffet-style, allowing you to eat as much as you like of what you want... This is not just tempting but truly delightful. I ended up overeating and regretting it later, but everything was so delicious that my satisfaction outweighed any regret. One thing I noticed was that the mini tomatoes in the salad corner still had their stems attached. While it looks better this way, this part tends to collect bacteria easily, so ideally, they should be washed and served without stems. Among all the Hotels I've stayed at, only about one-third seem to do this... It may take extra effort, but such Hotels demonstrate high standards. The dining area was lively with many families with children present. It brought back memories of my own child-rearing days and filled me with nostalgia and warmth—it was truly healing. Raising children can indeed be challenging at times, but looking back now, I realize those were some of the happiest moments of my life. At check-in, there were foreign staff members working diligently in the lobby. However, they seemed a bit stiff without smiles on their faces—perhaps because I might have looked intimidating? People often tell me I look stern or scary at first glance! But even someone like me would feel delighted if greeted warmly with a big smile; after all, smiles are universal gifts for everyone! A smile first—I always remind myself of this. Whenever I'm feeling tired or need some relaxation or simply want to enjoy delicious food until I'm full... I'll definitely return here again. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

    Enjoy a Nearby Onsen Resort

    We stayed for one night as a family when our daughters, who live far away, came back home after a long time. The Room we stayed in had a large hinoki cypress bath, which was very relaxing. Dinner was served at a good pace and was very delicious. As expected, the breakfast buffet was crowded, but the system of taking a number at reception and checking your turn via QR code made it surprisingly smooth and stress-free. There were plenty of options at the buffet, and we were very satisfied. It’s a nearby resort that we thoroughly enjoyed and would love to visit again!

    Everything is the best.

    The Room was upgraded, the club lounge had a great atmosphere, and the restaurant was delicious with attentive service. I will definitely stay here again when visiting Kobe.

    A Hotel for a Relaxing Stay

    The Onsen facility is particularly spacious, clean, and perfect for a relaxing stay, which is why I chose to return. However, during this visit, there was water leakage from the bathroom in the room. Each time I used the bathroom, the carpet in front of the door got wet, and even my slippers became soaked. I informed staff after check-in and placed bath towels on the floor to absorb the water, but they became completely soaked as well. I also reported this issue at check-out and hope it will be addressed promptly. The Onsen facility itself is wonderful; however, the cold bath temperature was too high. Other guests mentioned this as well, so I would appreciate it if this could be improved by my next visit.

    Plan with Private Bath

    I used the private bath Plan. The private bath Facility allowed for relaxation in a private room, complete with amenities and drinks, making it a very leisurely and luxurious experience. The provided loungewear made it convenient to enjoy the Onsen within the Facility as well.

    It was convenient.

    I made a Reservation for watching a game at Koshien. The direct connection to the Rokko Liner station was the deciding factor. Unfortunately, I couldn't use the Diamond Member benefit for a Room upgrade that day. If there were no available Rooms, it can't be helped. The Room was a Junior Suite, but it felt smaller than expected, possibly because we were three people staying together. Having free access to the large public bath was helpful. However, since I went near its closing time at 12 PM, it was crowded and not very relaxing. For breakfast, I opted for room service to enjoy it leisurely. There was only one option available due to some reason; the taste was average overall. The bread being cold and the omelet slightly firm were disappointing points. Overall, it was a clean Room with an ocean view and a spacious bathroom that made for a satisfying stay!

    We stayed for a one-night family trip. The guest room was spacious enough, and the children enjoyed the Rokko Liner, so the location turned out to be convenient. However, we noticed some minor issues as follows: - Cleaning next to the refrigerator space was insufficient (some areas were overlooked). - The water temperature in the indoor bath felt too hot for summer (other guests seemed to prefer using the outdoor bath). - The kids' space on the second floor could benefit from more frequent maintenance. - While we appreciated the surprise for children during dinner, it would be helpful if adults were informed about it in advance. We hope these points can be improved as they seem manageable.

    Enjoyed with my grandchild.

    My grandchild was delighted and enjoyed the pool and Onsen. I appreciated the amenities available for club floor guests, such as in-house wear, elevators, and the relaxation area after bathing.

    Emergency response...

    I visited for the Onsen, hoping to relax and enjoy a bath without worrying about crowds, as promised in the reviews. Until an emergency occurred, the Hotel staff's hospitality was good, and the buffet had a decent variety. The pool was also managed well with limited capacity to avoid overcrowding. However, late at night, a fire alarm rang through the Room phone. Guests from higher floors descended together via emergency stairs. Upon reaching outside, there were no Hotel staff present to guide us; everyone waited outside unsure of what to do. Eventually, police informed us that it was not a fire and we returned to our Rooms—only for another fire alarm to go off shortly after. The cause was later identified as water leakage, but even after that clarification, alarms continued ringing through Room phones until early morning when they finally stopped. Unfortunately, I could not use the Onsen at all. The issues seem related to infrastructure problems; unless there is a complete renovation of the Hotel facilities, it would be difficult to recommend staying here again. Also, during check-in I was told my IKYU Diamond upgrade had been applied; however, it felt like I stayed in the same Room as originally booked. Was this already upgraded at Reservation?

    Highly recommended!

    We stayed for a three-generation family trip, including an infant. The front desk staff and breakfast venue staff were all very courteous, pleasant, and provided excellent service. We reserved two rooms, and they kindly arranged them to be across from each other, making communication much easier. Since we chose the spa floor, we could directly access the large public bath and use the exclusive relaxation room, which was a great feature. Although the facility seems to have some age, it has a luxurious atmosphere inside. The rooms were clean and comfortable to stay in, with exceptionally comfortable beds.

    Club Floor Accommodation

    I stayed on the Club Floor, but check-in was at the same front desk as general guests. It was very crowded, so I had to wait quite a while. The Club Lounge was also crowded, and the air conditioning wasn't working well, so I asked the staff to adjust it. The natural onsen was excellent, but there were fewer hairdryers in the changing room than chairs, so I dried my hair in my room. Breakfast required a 30-minute wait as well. Considering it was summer vacation season, the crowding is understandable; however, compared to other hotels' Club Floor Plans, there wasn’t much special treatment offered here, which was a bit disappointing.

    Comfort Floor

    Stayed on the 12th floor Comfort Floor. Convenient access to the 3rd-floor Onsen via a dedicated elevator while wearing a yukata. The Onsen features yellow-colored water, which I preferred over Arima's reddish water. The post-bath relaxation area is spacious and luxurious, with an exclusive space for Comfort Floor guests or higher, offering amenities like coffee milk in paper packs. During busy periods, breakfast can also be enjoyed in the banquet hall. The breakfast buffet had limited Western options but offered a pleasant atmosphere. Weekday rates are very affordable and provide great value. A luxurious hotel with the signature Sheraton touch.

    The Onsen was very relaxing.

    The Onsen was relaxing and enjoyable, but the long wait to be seated for breakfast was disappointing. It would be great if improvements could be made, such as expanding the space. The food itself was delicious.

    It has been a long t...

    It has been a long time since visiting Kobe due to COVID-19, and staying at this Hotel is one of the joys of the trip. The large public bath is available, the breakfast buffet is delicious, and the staff's service is excellent. Although my main purpose is watching baseball at Koshien Stadium, the access is very convenient. Every time I stay here, I praise myself for finding this Hotel through an online search (laughs).

    We stayed as a famil...

    We stayed as a family and enjoyed our time on the club floor, where we could relax with tea in a lounge offering beautiful views. The Onsen was comfortable and helped us unwind from daily fatigue. We were also very satisfied with the direct elevator to the Onsen and being able to enjoy Awaji Island milk after bathing. Breakfast could be switched to lunch, so we opted for lunch instead. There were many delicious options, and our whole family enjoyed it with smiles. However, there were long lines for tempura and shabu-shabu, so we couldn't try them, which was a bit disappointing. Hopefully, we'll get to try them next time if there's another opportunity. Other than that, everything was very satisfying!

    The beginning and the end are disappointing.

    There were no complaints during the stay, but the beginning and end were disappointing. When arriving by car, a bus was parked in front, and despite wanting to unload luggage, I was gestured to go directly to the parking lot without any inquiry. Whether for accommodation or dining, it should be expected that people and luggage would need to be unloaded at the entrance. Guiding guests straight to the parking lot without asking is unkind and frustrating. If I had gone directly as instructed, what would have been done about my luggage? At checkout, after leaving the hotel and exiting the parking lot, water fell onto my car. Upon checking, it seemed caused by someone watering plants near the entrance. While likely unintentional, having a car dirtied by hotel staff is unacceptable. Please consider vehicle paths and water spray areas carefully when performing such tasks. While there were no issues internally during my stay, I hope staff around the hotel's entrance work with an awareness of maintaining standards befitting a high-ranking accommodation facility.

    A high-quality hotel that never disappoints. I try to stay here whenever I am on a business trip to Kobe. It is a bit pricey, but I believe it is worth every penny. The breakfast buffet in the bright and spacious area is one of the highlights, offering a variety of dishes to enjoy. Above all, the Onsen is exceptional—truly the ultimate luxury.

    The room size, break...

    The room size, breakfast, and Onsen were all excellent. After climbing up and down the slopes of Ijinkan in the heat, I was able to fully relax my tired body.

    Japanese Spa Suite

    We visited with the purpose of enjoying the Onsen open-air bath in the room. Upon opening the entrance door, the room felt slightly dim, but we were impressed by the traditional Ryokan atmosphere that made us forget we were in a city—truly living up to New Awaji's reputation. While service at the club floor during check-in and breakfast was disappointing, we were impressed by a female staff member at the garden café whose attentiveness and care made up for it. The meal menu was abundant, with warm dishes served while still hot and delicious. However, it would have been perfect if there had been a wider variety of fruits. Considering the price, I felt significant effort had been put into providing excellent service. The Onsen open-air bath in our room was exceptional; we used it multiple times and thoroughly enjoyed it. The bathroom floor heating system intrigued me—it was warm weather this time, but I’d like to try staying during winter to experience its benefits fully. One minor issue was that stepping out from the shower room to access the open-air bath involved stairs within a low doorway; I bumped my head initially. Overall, given this level of service for this price point, I think it's outstanding value. We stayed until just before check-out time and relaxed thoroughly. This time I visited with my mother; next time, I'd like to come back with my wife instead. Thank you for an amazing open-air bath experience and excellent service!

    Relax in a natural Onsen after sightseeing in Kobe.

    This was my fifth visit, and my friends who joined me were always delighted. The natural Onsen within the Hotel is particularly relaxing, especially with rooms where you can unwind after a soothing bath. This time, we visited after sightseeing in our favorite Kobe with dear friends. We arrived a bit early and took a stroll around the Hotel in the evening. The streets lined with blooming roses and wedding venues created such a charming atmosphere. The Hotel staff were wonderful, and we were very satisfied with our stay. The only concern was that the bathtub in our room showed some signs of wear, which was slightly disappointing even though we didn’t use it. We look forward to visiting again next time!     The second stay was great as well.

    I used the club lounge both times, and it was excellent. I chose the teppanyaki dinner, and this is one of the accommodations I would like to visit again. The bath with a view of the night scenery was also fantastic.

    A family member has a peanut allergy, and when we inquired in advance about accommodations for this, we were informed that no special precautions were necessary. However, during our previous stay, peanut-containing dressing had spilled onto the counter and created a mess, which caused significant concern. After requesting further measures to address this issue, we received a response stating that "improvements and accommodations have been made; please rest assured." To verify the improvements, other family members stayed at the accommodation. Unfortunately, peanut-containing dressing was again found spilled on the counter. We regret to say that more thoughtful measures would be appreciated. (Although photos were taken as evidence, they are not included here as they are not pleasant to view.) We kindly ask for your consideration to ensure a safe and worry-free experience for all guests.

    A Hotel I Want to Stay at Again

    For this trip back home, I decided to stay at a hotel and found one with an onsen. I immediately reserved two rooms: a corner room and the room next to it. The corner room was very bright, allowing me to enjoy a more elegant time than in the lounge. Except for sleeping, I spent most of my time in the corner room. Meals were served at Kobe Grill. Knowing that the chef is from Hotel New Awaji made perfect sense—the food was incredibly delicious while enjoying the night view. Due to mistakenly reserving a double-bed room initially, I had to rebook and discovered that the dinner plan was different this time. As a result, I paid the price difference at check-in on the day of my stay. The operator who assisted me was very kind, and I'm grateful for their help—apologies for any inconvenience caused. The onsen could be accessed via a dedicated elevator while wearing yukata, and the open-air bath had just the right water temperature. It felt satisfying enough without needing to visit Arima Onsen! I would love to use this accommodation again when visiting home next time—thank you very much!
