    The Sheraton has really declined!

    I would like to start by saying that I love Sheraton. However, I feel compelled to share some constructive criticism. The quality of the staff is extremely poor. It seems they are mostly new hires. While the experienced staff members are professional, the younger ones (including foreign staff) show a significant decline in quality. Here are some specific examples: - Breakfast restaurant: When I asked a staff member for a small bowl for my Onsen egg since none were available, they replied, "I'll bring it right away." However, no one came for quite some time. When someone finally arrived, they brought me a container meant for egg shells instead of a bowl. After explaining again, they claimed it was my misunderstanding—how could that be? This should have been obvious! Then I had to wait several more minutes before receiving what I needed. This kind of service is unacceptable. - The lack of smiles: In the morning, their expressions could be described as gloomy at best (to use Kansai slang). For instance, when returning my table card at the buffet entrance on my way out, one staff member simply extended their hand without even looking at me. When I told them to "look at customers when accepting something," they looked utterly shocked. That said, this issue isn't solely about the staff—it also reflects on customer behavior these days. For example, there was an older man using his smartphone inside an Onsen facility—he was Japanese! When confronted about it and told this wasn't allowed in such spaces, he claimed he had permission from the staff—which seemed highly unlikely. While it's often said that customers help shape and grow hotels over time if customer standards decline too much then hotels cannot thrive either. And just to clarify—this isn't harassment or unreasonable complaints; it's genuine feedback aimed at improvement!

    Perfect for relaxation!

    This year was challenging due to a family loss, but at the end of the year, we stayed at your Hotel to heal our minds and bodies. The Onsen and sauna facilities were excellent. We enjoyed two days of pure relaxation in the Onsen and sauna. Thank you very much. However, the crab legs served at the dinner buffet were empty inside! It might be better not to serve them if that's the case. (Even without crab, I think the variety of dishes is great.) The Onsen was wonderful, so we will visit again.

    It was a truly wonderful anniversary.

    We stayed at the accommodation in November to celebrate my parents' birthdays. Thank you for the wonderful birthday celebration; my parents were very happy. We chose a plan with breakfast and dinner included, and during dinner, there was a Hokkaido fair where we enjoyed dishes like Genghis Khan, Zangi, and seafood to our hearts' content. The breakfast was also very delicious. We had a memorable time as a family while enjoying a resort-like atmosphere nearby. Thank you so much!

    Disappointing Experience

    I had high expectations after watching YouTube, but it was quite different. The bath area was crowded, and I had to stand naked. It was disappointing. I also noticed mold in the wet areas, which concerned me. The Club Lounge menu was limited as well. Despite being a Diamond member, I couldn't get an upgrade. Upon checking, there were rooms available for one day—what is the criteria? Thank you.

    This was my first stay. The Onsen was excellent. The room was generally clean, but I found a child's fork under the side table, and the dripping sound from the shower booth continued all night, which was unfortunate.

    As a Marriott member, I used to make reservations through them, but this time I booked through IKYU to build up my rank after it dropped. However, the experience was overall terrible. The parent company is Hotel New Awaji. It’s well-known in the industry for being extremely stingy, and with many staff resigning en masse, this is where things stand now. While there may be various reasons for working there, such matters are irrelevant to guests staying at the accommodation. Please ensure proper communication between the front desk and housekeeping! During my multiple night stay, I informed the front desk that ●room cleaning was unnecessary● and requested only that amenities be hung on the doorknob. Yet ●male amenities were replenished instead. Does a solo female guest need four razors? No tea amenities either—was this an indication from the hotel to just drink water? To top it off, a man suddenly appeared outside my window while I was changing clothes and saw me naked. The man stared into my room for some time—it turned out he was a window cleaner—but he had a smirk on his face as he continued looking at me. The feeling of being frozen in place when our eyes met… even now I can’t forget his face. I immediately called the front desk only to receive a casual response: “Window cleaning ends at 3 PM.” That’s not what I wanted to hear! Why wasn’t information about window cleaning—including dates and times—provided during check-in? If I'd known beforehand, I could have closed blackout curtains or taken measures so no one could see inside. Even now back home, I'm traumatized. Staying at your hotel felt like being violated. Is it because you think “Who cares if an overweight middle-aged woman gets seen naked?” This attitude seemed evident from how checkout staff offered only verbal apologies without any acknowledgment from management or further action taken by higher-ups. Let me be clear—I do not forgive what happened. How would you feel if you experienced something similar? Hotel staff—especially female employees—should try imagining themselves in such situations!

    Take a Break with Hotel Life

    This was our third stay at the accommodation, and we visited as a couple after a long time. The facility is elegant, and the room (this time a Deluxe Room) was spacious, stylish, and sophisticated. There were plenty of hangers, the bed was large, and the bathroom had a shower booth, making it very comfortable. Despite being elderly with slower movements, the staff at the lobby and buffet restaurant were all kind, polite, and attentive with smiles, so we felt no inconvenience. As expected from an established luxury hotel with tradition, everything felt highly refined. Thanks to this wonderful experience again this time, we were able to enjoy a relaxing stay. The food offered a wide variety of options and was all incredibly delicious. We would love to use this accommodation again if given another opportunity. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

    I felt that the club floor was not necessary.

    I had a comfortable stay for two nights. The hotel was clean throughout, and the room was well-maintained. Although it is described as a luxury hotel, I stayed on the club floor but did not find the layout, furnishings, or amenities particularly luxurious. There didn’t seem to be much difference compared to rooms on other floors. There was no dedicated check-in/check-out counter either, so I didn’t feel any special benefits of staying on the club floor. If it were a floor with direct elevator access to the onsen, staying on the club floor might not have been necessary. I also used the club lounge; however, there were limited drink and snack options, and it felt more like a place conducive to work rather than relaxation. Breakfast wasn’t overly extensive in variety but offered satisfying selections with some changes over two days that made it enjoyable and delicious. Overall, I had a comfortable stay and would consider staying here again when visiting Kobe.

    Mother's Birthday

    It was a perfect day. The Hotel staff kindly prepared some sweets for my birthday. The Onsen in the Room could be enjoyed as many times as I wanted. The garden was so beautiful that it felt like traveling to another place, filled with happiness. Bay Sheraton is a favorite for both my mother and me, and we often stay there. It truly felt like a paradise nearby, bringing us immense joy. Thank you very much!

    The Room was lovely.

    Thank you for your kind and attentive service despite the multiple changes to the Reservation this time. The Room was very spacious, allowing our family of three to relax comfortably. We also enjoyed the Onsen, which provided a soothing experience with excellent water quality that warmed both body and soul. The Hotel is conveniently located near many restaurants, so finding meals was not an issue. It’s a Hotel where I’d like to spend more leisurely time next visit, perhaps strolling around and exploring the surroundings.

    It was quiet and relaxing. The Room was spacious, offering the comfort of an overseas Hotel. Dinner at the high-floor restaurant provided a luxurious experience. Unfortunately, the Room upgrade was not possible due to full occupancy.

    Satisfied with the private Onsen.

    I never expected to enjoy a private Onsen in a Hotel within Kobe City. I was surprised to learn that it is not transported from Arima Onsen but is actually sourced from their own natural spring 1,000 meters underground. My wife was extremely delighted. It became a wonderful memory for us.

    Delicious cuisine

    The facility may have some room noise, but parking and the onsen are free. The onsen keeps you warm and relieves fatigue, making it worth visiting more than once. The staff at the 1st-floor garden café are particularly commendable for their attentive, proactive, and pleasant service.

    It was excellent.

    The Onsen was excellent. It was great that breakfast could be changed to lunch. The light snacks in the lounge were a bit lacking, but considering the price, it’s understandable. I deducted one star because the water facilities like the sink in the room felt a bit old, but everything else was satisfactory.

    Look forward to an upgrade to the Club Floor!

    It had been a while since I stayed on the club floor. While it may feel a bit disappointing compared to the good old days, it might be reasonable for the price. The Onsen is excellent, and it's easily accessible by train, making it one of my favorite places. This time, I was able to relax and enjoy a pleasant stay with my sister.

    Relaxed by the open-air bath.

    Thank you for hosting us during our holiday trip to Kobe. The Onsen, both indoor and outdoor baths, exceeded our expectations and helped relieve our daily fatigue. Thank you very much. As for the club lounge, perhaps because we arrived at night, I felt the food options could be improved a bit more. However, we look forward to staying with you again when we visit Kobe next time!

    I had an enjoyable stay at a Hotel I hadn't visited much before, but everyone was very kind. H at the front desk guided me and was very helpful. The bath was spacious with natural hot spring water flowing directly, and there was also a sauna, which was great. I believe it’s also thanks to the Reservation through IKYU.com.

    Stayed at the accommodation for the first time in two years.

    I stayed in a Club Room. The package included a heated pool, gym, club lounge access, and breakfast at a reasonable price. However, compared to two years ago, the drinks in the club lounge and the hors d'oeuvres (which used to be served twice) have been reduced to once with less impressive options. The breakfast also felt less appealing than before. My daughter, who stayed with me for the first time (and has experienced other hotel club rooms several times), mentioned she wouldn’t want to return. As someone who has stayed here multiple times, I still love the onsen and would like to stay again.

    First Trip to Kobe

    Our first trip to Kobe, visiting as a family of four. The hotel was very clean and left a great first impression! Check-in was smooth, and the night view from the elevator was mesmerizing. Our room was on the 18th floor of the Club Floor—luxurious and spotless. The kids, especially our youngest on their first overnight stay, were thrilled. The night view from the room was also stunning. One small note: it wasn’t very clear that drinks in the fridge were chargeable. As part of the Club Floor service, we had access to a guest lounge but couldn’t use it at night due to time constraints with kids—what a shame! Apparently, adults can enjoy some drinks there; we’d love to try it next time! Both dinner and breakfast were buffet-style and by far the best buffet meals we’ve ever had! A wide variety of dishes with kid-friendly plates available made it enjoyable for both children and adults. The Onsen experience was exceptional—it felt like natural hot springs that warmed us up thoroughly. The relaxation area afterward was spacious and comfortable with even space for stretching exercises. There’s also an exclusive Spa Living area for Club Floor guests offering more relaxation options, drink services, health measurement machines, and more—a truly pampering experience. We’re so glad we stayed at such an amazing hotel during our first trip to Kobe! We’d definitely love to visit again if given another opportunity!

    The Plan with a massage at Bankunmei was excellent.

    After enjoying the Onsen, I received a treatment at Bankunmei. The treatment was very thorough, and my body felt truly relaxed. Additionally, I had dinner at the Chinese restaurant, which was absolutely delicious and made for an exceptionally elegant experience. Thank you for your hospitality!

    The Onsen and breakfast are delicious and absolutely wonderful!

    The natural flow Onsen is very relaxing, and everything is kept clean, ensuring a comfortable stay. The complimentary corn tea is delicious and perfect to enjoy before or after bathing. This time, I stayed for two nights with access to the club lounge, indulging in luxurious drinks and feeling completely satisfied. The wine was exceptionally good. Next time, I hope to make time to try the plum wine and sake as well.

    The service was polite, and the Onsen was excellent. However, there was dust accumulated on the top of the bed, and increasing the air conditioner output caused an unpleasant smell.

    Diamond benefits are not available.

    I always use the club floor and am satisfied with the service, Onsen, and Onsen-related facilities. However, I am always told that the Diamond benefits cannot be used as they are only available one day prior, so I cannot get an upgrade. While I can use the 5% discount at the shop, I have never been able to use my benefits for an upgrade. This is disappointing.

    Extraordinary Experience

    I stayed at the hotel for one night to relax and escape from daily life while having a leisurely conversation with my childhood friend. The room was upgraded, allowing me to fully enjoy the hotel life. I soaked in the onsen twice and had a very relaxing time. I apologize for any inconvenience caused to the staff due to my friend's issues. The construction noise I was worried about was not a problem, and I returned home feeling refreshed. I look forward to staying again next time with my family.

    Satisfied, including cost performance.

    Used during the Expo. More transfers to the venue than expected, but the Hotel itself is excellent. Directly connected to the station. The Room feels spacious, clean, and offers a view of Rokko despite some buildings in sight. Amenities are very well-equipped. Breakfast exceeded expectations, and the Onsen was exceptional. It provided great relaxation even after tiring days at the Expo. The price was reasonable, possibly due to booking early. As it served as a base for activities, I was highly satisfied with its cost performance overall.

    I stayed with an old friend. There is a connecting walkway from Island Center Station to the Sheraton, so no need for an umbrella on rainy days. The room was spacious, including the bath and toilet, providing a comfortable stay. The large public bath featured real Onsen water with excellent quality that left my skin feeling smooth. The bathing area was very spacious and included a sauna, waterfall bath, reclining bath, indoor bath, and open-air bath for ultimate relaxation. For dinner, we enjoyed Chinese cuisine at "Suikouen," which lived up to its reviews—absolutely delicious. The breakfast buffet could be switched to lunch instead, allowing us to relax in the room until the 12:00 checkout time. The lunch buffet offered a wide variety of high-quality ingredients and was incredibly tasty as well. The dining venue was also spacious enough for an elegant meal experience. Overall, I give this stay my highest rating and would love to visit again!

    Overall, I was satisfied. I booked two Rooms: the Japanese Spa Suite and the Premium Twin. While there were no complaints about the suite, I found an issue with the Premium Twin as the bathtub, sink, and toilet were all in one Room without any partitions. This might be acceptable at this price range, but having at least a partition would have been better. A separate shower room might not even be necessary. Perhaps foreign guests don't mind this as much? Additionally, the meals lacked a sense of luxury. Some guests may feel dissatisfied if they receive the same meals despite differences in Room prices.
