    Unable to sleep due to noise.

    A creaking sound, similar to a ship swaying on waves, persisted from the ceiling near the window by the head of the bed from night until early morning, making it difficult to sleep. It did not seem to come from the neighboring Room but possibly from pipes or something else. The noise stopped by morning. The irregular and fairly loud sound made it hard to fall asleep.

    The property shows signs of aging, but...

    We stayed for one night during spring break as a family. The front desk service was good, but at night, there was a strange noise. When we inquired at the front desk, they mentioned it was caused by the wind making creaking sounds... It might also be due to the aging of the building. It felt a bit unsettling. However, the breakfast buffet was great.

    We had a wonderful time.

    I used to visit frequently with my family for meals and stays, but it has been a while since my last visit. The unchanging atmosphere, the calm lobby (though it's a bit disappointing that the sofas are no longer arranged in sets of four like petals—this is Hotel Okura after all), the kind front desk staff, being guided to a sea-view seat at the delicious Toh-Ka-Lin restaurant, the clean rooms, and well-maintained linens—all reflect Hotel Okura's philosophy, which made me very happy. A friend who had previously stayed at another hotel also chose Hotel Okura this time and mentioned how much more elegant and relaxing it was compared to a hotel they stayed at in Kyushu last month. "This is truly Hotel Okura," they said. What I found regrettable was the website. Unlike The Okura Tokyo's serene video that exudes tranquility, this hotel's site felt quite standard. I hope for something more refined and dignified in quality. Additionally, I would have preferred if the morning newspaper was Nikkei instead of what was provided; one of the two cutlery spoons being stainless steel while the other was silver-plated felt inconsistent; and lastly, the bathroom sink bowl felt small with faucets positioned too close for comfort. Other than these points, I am extremely satisfied. The cleaning was thorough, allowing me to spend a pleasant time here for which I am grateful.

    I had a relaxing and comfortable stay.

    I stayed for a memorial service in Kobe. Once again, my family was given two adjacent rooms, and since they were on the ocean side, we were able to enjoy a beautiful night view, making it a very satisfying stay. The room's interior had a calm color scheme, which even pleased my husband, who is particular about room decor. The staff's greetings at check-in, placing the flowers I sent to the bell desk in our room, and the polite response from room service over the phone all made me think, "As expected of Hotel Okura." I would love to stay here again if I have another opportunity.

    It is the best Hotel.

    Everyone is full of hospitality and serves with all their might. The bus, the front desk, the cleaning staff, and room service. I think it's the best Hotel. Visiting at milestones gives me energy. Whether alone or with someone else. Thank you always.

    A long-established Hotel with good cost performance

    The Room had a good view and was clean. Perhaps because it was an off-peak period, the interaction with the front desk was smooth, and the breakfast venue was spacious, with services like coffee that could be taken back to the Room, making me feel that there was attention to detail overall. The shuttle bus service to Shin-Kobe Station (Shin-Kobe Eki) was also helpful. At this price, being able to enjoy a location facing the sea and attentive service felt much more advantageous than staying at a Business Hotel.

    I had a comfortable stay.

    I decided to stay in Kobe for meetings in Kyoto, Osaka, and Kobe (February 13th-14th). I chose this Property because it is close to the client I am meeting the next day and the Hotel's location is excellent. I had a very comfortable stay. The staff's service was also commendable. One issue was that there seemed to be a banquet on an upper floor that day, causing elevator congestion. If possible, it would be helpful if one elevator could be reserved for Stays guests only. I look forward to using your services again during my next business trip to Kobe. Thank you very much.

    With breakfast included

    I reserved a room with breakfast for the first time, but perhaps because there was a large group, it was noisy and the renowned Okura felt like a public cafeteria, which was very disappointing. I wish individual guests could be placed in a separate area. The breakfast was ordinary. I thought it might be better not to include breakfast next time.

    The night view from ...

    The night view from the Room is also wonderful at this landmark in Kobe. Compared to the newer Hotels that have been built recently, the Facility and equipment may feel a bit dated. I often enjoy using the restaurant within the Hotel as I like it very much.

    Following last year, I stayed at the Property again after viewing the Luminarie. I was able to spend a very relaxing time, and I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast at a leisurely pace. Thank you very much!

    My daughter decided ...

    My daughter decided to have her wedding at Okura, and since it included a stay the night before and after, we thought, "Why not have the family stay as well and hold a second party?" After the ceremony, three families gathered in this Room and enjoyed room service. The menu was extensive and everything was very delicious. This suite was spacious, allowing us to relax as a family while reminiscing about the ceremony, which was wonderful. The night view from the window was also beautiful. Although we live in Kobe, this place made us feel the essence of "Kobe" all over again. "What a beautiful city," we thought. Regarding the wedding, the meticulous service of the staff made us all say, "As expected of Okura," with high praise. The breakfast the next morning had a wide variety and was very delicious. It was such a shame to miss out on the French toast! The Hotel's garden is a must-see. The Christmas tree in the lobby was also large and beautiful. To all the staff, thank you very much for taking such great care of us.

    The Luminarie was beautifully visible.

    I booked this Property as part of the Luminarie event being held at Meriken Park. When I requested a Room with a view of the Luminarie, they prepared a Room with an excellent view. Not only the Luminarie, but also the morning ocean view was beautiful, and I was very satisfied. Since the Room has been around for a long time, it is spacious and allows for a relaxing stay. My mother has presbyopia, so it would be nice to have a magnifying mirror for makeup in the Room. If the Rooms are ever renovated in the future, please consider this suggestion.

    My favorite Hotel

    I have been using this for about 30 years. I truly love the Japanese hospitality and atmosphere that cannot be found in foreign-owned establishments. I will probably continue to use it whenever I have the time. Thank you always for providing an exceptional Hotel life.

    Luminarie Viewing

    I stayed in a twin room on the 11th floor on the south side. The view of the Luminarie venue right in front was fantastic. The atmosphere of the Hotel was very pleasant, and the Hotel staff's service was courteous. I was able to spend a relaxing time. This Hotel is perfect for a trip in your 60s.

    Everything is old.

    All the facilities are old. I don't know about special rooms, but the general guest rooms, hotel facilities, and toilets are too old. There were no bathrobes provided in the room, and I had to ask the room attendant to bring one, which is unimaginable for a hotel where the Emperor and Empress recently stayed.

    It exceeded my expectations!

    I suddenly wanted to go to Kobe and made a reservation with a plan for one person. From the moment of check-in, I truly felt the excellence of a long-established Japanese-style hotel with their courteous service. The plan included a course dinner via room service, so I could enjoy it at my own pace without any hesitation. Although I think the content differs from the course at the restaurant, the appetizers were delicious, and the fish and meat were truly tasty. Warm bread was also served. The buffet the next morning featured many locally sourced items, offering a variety of enjoyable options. The service and hospitality were truly excellent. I live nearby, but I want to come every month for a refresh.

    I was supposed to relax during the New Year...

    I decided to stay at Okura, thinking it would be fine to enjoy a hotel stay. At first glance, the room seemed clean, but there were traces of someone's eye discharge on the TV stand, something that looked like oxidized blood in the bathtub, hair on the shower, and lipstick on the sink. Fortunately, I brought disinfectant and disposable gloves, so I cleaned everything myself. Also, as others have mentioned, even when I appeared in the lobby with heavy luggage, no one rushed over to help. They just glanced at me and continued chatting. The breakfast buffet was average, but the room service was delicious. It was disappointing, especially since I was happy with the New Year's gift of waffles.

    Very satisfied.

    We have stayed here for two consecutive years, and it was very clean with excellent views. As expected, the location is great, offering good views, with the west side being the most beautiful.

    Overall, I think it is a good Hotel.

    I stayed here for the first time in about 30 years. Although it is old and doesn't have any particular features, I think it is generally a good Hotel. I only had breakfast, and both Japanese and Western dishes were delicious. Oh, I also went to the bar.

    I made a last-minute...

    I made a last-minute Reservation three days before Christmas to participate in the Christmas night event in Kobe. We were provided with a wonderful Room with a panoramic view of Kobe Harborland, which impressed my wife. The relaxed atmosphere and the thoughtfulness of the staff at the long-established Hotel in Kobe were excellent.

    Told to pay in advance.

    My companion said they would take me to Hotel Okura Kobe for a Christmas celebration, so I made a reservation on IKYU. At the front desk during check-in, I was told to pay in advance. Since my companion planned to pay at checkout the next day, I informed the front desk, but was met with silence and made to wait. In front of many other guests, I was asked to sign a pledge, which was embarrassing and hurtful. When handed the key, I was asked how I would like to be guided to the room. I wondered if I should carry my luggage myself, but when I said I would leave it to them, a staff member guided me. Upon reaching the room, there was a highway overpass right in front of the window on the mountain side, and the amenities were just a toothbrush set, razor, and comb. It was Christmas, but it was not what I had imagined, and I wanted to leave. My companion, unable to endure the treatment at the front desk, called to ask if we could be moved to a room with a better view. We were moved to the sea side on the 9th floor. I felt very unpleasant and thought being a Diamond member was meaningless.

    I stayed a few days after my birthday, and after the check-in procedure at the front desk, I was delighted to receive congratulatory words and a beautiful rose. The hotel has renovated water facilities, and the room is spacious, making it a reliable hotel. Now, with the Christmas market starting, I enjoyed the festive atmosphere of Kobe.
