    Please consider.

    We stayed in a special Japanese-style room with three friends for one night from February 10th. We were able to stay at a good price by using coupons. Since it was Koganoi in Nanki Shirahama, my expectations might have been too high, but here is my review. - Room: It was spacious and convenient, and I was satisfied. However, having only one key for the room was very inconvenient. In the past 10 years of using various hotels domestically, Koganoi is the only place with just one key. I hope this can be improved. - Large Public Bath: Both the indoor bath and open-air bath had temperatures and water quality that suited my preferences, allowing me to fully enjoy the onsen comfortably. It would have been even better if there were gender swaps between night and morning. - Meals: Both meals were buffets; while I think the taste is good, I felt that both variety and quality could be improved considering it's Koganoi. - Overall: There were some areas where I felt a sense of oldness overall. (1) The wallpaper in many places including elevator halls is peeling off. (2) Out of three private rooms in the men's restroom on 2F (near smoking area), two are Japanese-style toilets.

    A bit disappointing

    When I visited around the same time last year, there were plenty of dishes, but this time it was a series of "please wait" and neither the meat nor tempura was ready, which was very disappointing. The Room was spacious and nice when we chose a Japanese-style room, but it smelled dusty and my son couldn't stop coughing. It was fine when we stayed in a Western-style room. The Onsen is really nice and the front desk staff were kind and good. Foreigners just stood around without being much help. It might be unavoidable though.

    Stay at the Koganoi Resort & Spa in Shirahama

    For our 80th birthday trip, we decided on Shirahama Onsen, which can be reached quickly from Kobe, and chose Koganoi. Regarding the guest room, both the size and view were excellent, but it was quite uncomfortable for the elderly as there was no chair set. The Onsen bath was spacious, especially the open-air bath with a depth of (120cm), offering plenty of water and a relaxing experience. The Facility and meals are satisfactory overall at this good Hotel.

    It was unfortunate.

    When I entered the Room, I was pleased to find it very spacious, but it was such a windy day that the sound of the wind was as loud as being on an airplane all night, and I couldn't sleep. The water supply lamp on the dehumidifier was on, so I added water, but it didn't resolve the issue. When I felt something rustling inside the sleeve of the jacket worn over the yukata, I found seaweed from the meal inside. I wondered if the jacket was not washed. It wasn't particularly cheap, so it was very disappointing.

    This time is also the best.

    I was very satisfied again this time. This is the second time with my 90-year-old parents. My husband has been here five times, including golf trips, and this is my third time. We are always satisfied. The Room and bath are clean, and the open-air bath where you can stand is a particular favorite. Dinner is not a buffet, but we always enjoy upgraded Japanese cuisine, and everything is very delicious. It is not a private room, but the restaurant is spacious and quiet. This time, we got a bit noisy reminiscing with my parents, and I apologize for that. They also have a selection of delicious Wakayama sake, and the overflowing sake poured into the masu really lifts the mood. Everything at breakfast is delicious, and I was surprised at how much my father ate. The staff always provide pleasant service, and thank you for a happy trip. We will visit again.

    It's unfortunate that the ceiling in the changing room is dusty.

    The day was cold and windy, but I truly appreciated the staff's thoughtfulness when they came to the car in the parking lot to help carry our luggage as soon as we arrived. Even though we arrived a little earlier than the check-in time, the spacious lobby allowed us to browse the souvenir shop and wait comfortably, which was nice. However, the hallway walls leading to the Room had holes, and the door facing the hallway in the Room was noticeably dirty, which dampened my mood. The Room had an ocean view, and although some of the wallpaper inside the Room was peeling in places, it was thoroughly cleaned, which was reassuring. The Onsen and the heated pool were well-cleaned, but I was surprised to see the ceiling in the changing room covered in dust. It was all around the ventilation fans and lights. Since the ceiling in the changing room is quite noticeable to guests, it was disappointing. On the other hand, the floor in the changing room was frequently cleaned and spotless, and the bath towels were fluffy and comfortable. When I requested a size change for the yukata, the staff promptly brought it to the Room, which was great. The buffet meals, both dinner and breakfast, offered a wide variety of dishes, and the flavors were refined and delicious. The staff also timed the clearing of dishes perfectly, making the dining experience enjoyable. Additionally, despite the strong wind, the illumination was worth stepping outside to see, even in winter. There were warm clothes prepared near the door leading outside, which we could borrow, and they were incredibly helpful! The glowing balls floating in the heated pool at night were also magical and beautiful.

    Thank you to my mother

    Although elderly, my mother always prepares bento and meals for me, so I wanted to express my gratitude and appreciation. I was worried about my mother, who is sensitive to the cold, but the warm bedding allowed her to sleep well, which was a relief. Since she easily catches colds, I was concerned about the change in environment. The Onsen was spacious and very nice. My mother found the slippers a bit difficult to walk in, and I was worried she might fall, but she was cautious and managed fine. I personally enjoyed using the sauna. The vinegar-infused drink after the bath was very delicious. It would have been perfect if there was ice cream as well. Since I am also tired from work, I tried the massage, but it was just okay. I hope to visit again with my mother. We also went to Adventure World, which seemed to tire her out, but I’m glad we decided to stay for one night, as it created wonderful memories.     A wonderful space and view

    The view from the top floor was exceptionally beautiful. The size of the Room and the furniture were convenient to use. The Wi-Fi was slow, so it took some time. It was strange that there were few language options for watching YouTube on the TV.

    Favorite Hotel

    I use this Hotel several times a year, and it is always a favorite where I can enjoy a pleasant stay. The Room is always well-cleaned, and I particularly like the open-air standing bath. The meals are delicious, and the staff always provide service with a smile, allowing me to have an enjoyable time every visit. Next time, I would like to visit with my grandchildren.

    Highly recommended.

    I stayed here with a friend when we went to Adventure World to see pandas. At first, I excluded it from my options because I thought it was a bit far from Adventure World, but the Shuttle Service from Shirahama Station was very helpful. The Room was more spacious than I imagined, and I could relax comfortably. However, the air conditioning was too hot and made it difficult to sleep. Since it was not the type that could be adjusted by temperature, I deducted one star. The meals had a wide variety of options, all of which were delicious, and I ended up overeating. The staff were all very pleasant, and I highly recommend this Property.

    The view is amazing.

    Last time, I stayed with my grandchild and found it to be great value for money, so this time, I stayed for the second time with my parents. Located on a hill, the Property offers an amazing ocean view. The buffet for breakfast and dinner features dishes suitable for a wide range of ages, from children to elderly parents. The bath towels in the large public bath are fluffy and slightly warm, making them very comfortable. The open-air bath is 130 cm deep, allowing for standing bathing, but there is a step where you can sit on the edge. The water temperature is on the higher side, making it perfect for winter, and after bathing, your body stays warm and you may even sweat. Great value for money, and I definitely plan to use it again in the future.

    The view is amazing!

    The view is amazing. The Room is clean, and the large windows are spotless. The staff's hospitality was excellent, making my stay comfortable and pleasant. Both the dinner and breakfast buffets were delicious, no matter what I tried. The bath was spacious, well-maintained, and very relaxing. It’s a Hotel I would love to visit again!

    The mattress on the bed was too hard.

    This was my first time using this Facility. The Facility is extremely old. There was an indoor heated pool, so the kids had a lot of fun. The bath was nice too, but the aging of the Room was significant. It smelled dusty. The cleaning was done well, but the equipment and such were also old. What was most difficult for me was that the mattress on the bed was extremely hard, and the pillow was also hard, so I couldn't sleep well. I was also bothered by the fact that there was only a sheet directly on the mattress, which seemed quite poor. Both breakfast and dinner were buffets, and I was looking forward to it because the Review said it was delicious, but it was disappointing. Especially for breakfast, it was unfortunate that there was no butter, only margarine, and overall it gave a cheap impression. I was also concerned that the jacuzzi in the night pool stopped around 9:30 PM! Since it was New Year's and there was availability for a Reservation at a reasonable price, I guess it was okay, but I don't think I would repeat. The kids seemed to have fun, though.

    A Couple's Travelogue to Nachikatsuura, Shirahama, and Nara

    At the end of the year, my spouse and I decided to visit Nachikatsuura, Shirahama, and Nara on the Kii Peninsula. Shirahama: Onsen and Beautiful Beaches The Hotel we stayed at here was a wonderful place full of resort vibes. From our Room, we could overlook the beautiful beaches of Shirahama, and taking an early morning walk became something to look forward to. The Hotel also had spacious spa Facilities, allowing us to spend luxurious time as a couple. The open-air Onsen with a view of the ocean was particularly exceptional. From the Room, we could enjoy the illuminations, and walking outside made for a lovely evening. Dinner was served buffet-style, featuring plenty of local ingredients. Fresh tuna sashimi was sliced on the spot, and sushi was prepared piece by piece as we selected the toppings. Pasta was also cooked individually right in front of us. Despite the number of guests, the service was very attentive and quick, making the food incredibly delicious. Breakfast was also buffet-style, offering a variety of Japanese and Western dishes. The wide selection made it hard to choose, and we ended up eating more than we intended. This trip was a wonderful experience that combined nature, history, gourmet food, and a luxurious stay at the Hotel. In Nachikatsuura, Shirahama, and Nara, we spent a relaxing time as a couple and felt truly refreshed. The stays at each Property exceeded our expectations, with the scenery and hospitality leaving a lasting impression. We would definitely like to plan another trip like this in the future.

    Year-end trip

    We used it for our year-end trip on the 27th and 28th! As soon as we arrived, we enjoyed the heated pool, followed by the Onsen, and then watched the illuminations, which made the kids very happy! The food was very delicious, and the Hotel, though it was a double room, was spacious and comfortable! It was a bit tight for four people to sleep, though (laughs). We would love to use it again.

    Perfect for family trips with children

    The indoor pool is spacious and allows for the use of inflatables, and after dinner, you can enjoy plenty of time with activities like a stroll to see the garden illuminations or a night pool. The bath towels in the changing room of the large public bath are fluffy and kept warm, providing a very pleasant experience, making it perfect for winter use. There were many guests with babies, and I felt assured that it was safe for families with small children. When my child was too tired to wake up for breakfast, I explained the situation to the front desk, and they kindly allowed us to change the time, among other things. The staff were all very kind and accommodating, which made for a satisfying stay.

    At Christmas,

    We were lucky to secure a reservation for a special deal just two days before, and we used it for a family of three on Christmas. It was like an early check-in, with a late check-in and early check-out! It suited us perfectly, so we enjoyed it without any issues, but it might be tough for those who like to sleep in. The front desk staff was polite and explained everything before we headed to our room! Our room was on the 8th floor, and the ocean view was a wonderful sight. The room was spacious enough for three adults, but I ended up sleeping on an extra bed? It was like a sofa bed, and it had a musty smell, maybe moldy or damp? The smell was a bit concerning. Also, I thought the room was non-smoking, but the toilet smelled like a smoking area, which was a bit unpleasant. Other than that, we had a really comfortable stay. We had some time before dinner, so we decided to go to the bath first! When we were getting ready to leave the room with the two men and my wife, we noticed there was only one room key... I thought they might have forgotten to give us another, but the front desk said there was only one. It's inconvenient since men and women have different bathing times. The two men went to the indoor pool first and then headed to the bath, but the pool's rental balloons? They were charging and couldn't be used, so we just soaked. Around 10 PM, we saw through the glass that they were available, but it seemed pointless if they weren't out when the kids were around. The bath's temperature and view were excellent, and it would be even better if they trimmed the weeds in front of the open-air bath a bit more! The meals were buffet-style for both breakfast and dinner, and the variety and quality were excellent. We have nothing but respect and gratitude for the chefs' hard work! Overall, it was a good hotel, and we would love to repeat our stay!

    Delicious and satisfying

    It was a discounted late check-in Plan, but despite arriving early, we were kindly allowed to check in. The buffet was well-organized to avoid crowding, and as per the Review, everything was delicious. There were comments about the "building being old," but it has been renovated, was clean, and well-maintained. The Room was spacious, the futon was clean, and it had an ocean view with beautiful illuminations. The walls seemed thin, as we could hear the neighbors, but it wasn't too bothersome. If I had to point out something, the chairs in front of the mirrors in the women's bath were a bit low, making it slightly difficult to use the hairdryer. Since it was a discounted Plan, it felt like a great deal. I would love to use it again.

    A hotel that is extremely friendly to families with children

    I often see in reviews that the concierge's hospitality is excellent, so I tried not to expect too much. However, I was very impressed by the staff's response when we arrived and handed over the car. They were considerate of my grandparents, who have difficulty walking, and our three small children, and parked the car close to the entrance, which made me happy. The staff guiding us while we were in line for check-in had a "training" badge, so it was understandable, but they explained things plainly without much friendliness. The front desk staff had a wonderful smile and seemed experienced, which gave me a sense of security for our stay. During dinner, a staff member quickly came to make udon for the children, and there was a wide variety of baby food and utensils available, so I thought it was okay to reduce the children's luggage! At breakfast, the pancakes for the children were shaped like pandas... it was amazing. The downside is that the pool and onsen are in the basement with many stairs, and since using the large public bath is assumed, there are no amenities in the guest rooms. Also, there were few outlets, and the built-in charger didn't work well. Each staff member was truly wonderful at this property. We went to the pool about 15 minutes before it closed without checking properly, but the staff kindly said with a smile, "It's okay, it's okay. Enjoy a little." When my daughter was excited and restless, the same staff member kindly held her, saying it must be tough. When the receipt flew away in the wind, they ran after it and picked it up for us. It was a precious hotel where I could feel the warmth and kindness of people amidst the daily stress of parenting and work. I will visit again when I go to Shirahama. I think we caused some trouble with our noisy group, but thank you very much!

    It was a spectacular view and very comfortable!

    The hospitality and service were excellent, and the Onsen and open-air bath were spacious and comfortable, allowing us to see the stars at night. The room was also spacious, and the view was spectacular. Since we had a multiple night stay, the breakfast buffet was the same, so a little variety would have made it perfect.

    The Onsen was great.

    Relax anytime you visit!

    I use it every time I go to Shirahama! The atmosphere of the Hotel is good, the Room is spacious, the open-air bath and garden lighting are beautiful, and I always have a relaxing stay.

    Great value for money!

    This was my first stay, but the staff's service, the restaurant's food, and the quality of the Onsen were really good. I think the building is old, but it was well cleaned and had a sense of cleanliness. The price was reasonable for a one-night stay with two meals, and I was satisfied. I would like to use it again when I visit Wakayama. I was very impressed by the foreign staff who had studied a lot and spoke polite Japanese.

    I am pleased.

    This time, I am in charge of the Reservation. I booked two Rooms for a total of four people: my husband, my father, and my uncles, for their usual golf trip. Koga no I (Koga no I) is my husband's favorite, and he came back truly satisfied, saying they were very well taken care of this time as well. The food, of course, the pleasant service from the staff, and the Onsen are all very good. Listening to their happy stories makes me want to visit Koga no I (Koga no I) again. It's a Hotel that satisfies us no matter how many times we visit.

    I stayed with my daughter. I learned from the taxi driver on the way that the property had been newly rebuilt, so my expectations were high. Upon arrival, the doorman greeted us warmly, and although the front desk staff seemed a bit inexperienced during check-in, they provided pleasant service. Both dinner and breakfast were buffets with a wide variety of live offerings, and the desserts at dinner were particularly plentiful and delicious. There were so many options that I was disappointed not to be able to try them all. The garden illumination after sunset could be enjoyed both up close and from the room, offering enjoyment from various angles. The onsen had slightly slippery water that felt good on the skin. The outdoor bath with a depth of 120cm was not suitable for children, but for adults, the water pressure seemed to soothe tired muscles. The only downside was that the faucet in the room's washbasin did not close properly. If not closed consciously, it would continue to drip. Other than that, it was a very satisfying stay. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.

    軽井沢の冬は寒い

    The hospitality was great!

    I visited during the three-day holiday in November. Although it was crowded due to the holiday, each and every one of the Hotel staff was very kind, and their service was heartfelt, making it a Hotel that warmed me from the inside. In particular, I am truly grateful to the person who welcomed us upon arrival, everyone at the Japanese restaurant, and the person cleaning the pool. Even though our interactions were brief, they were all very kind. Even with a challenging three-year-old in tow, we were able to have a very comfortable stay.
