A luxurious stay with 26 rooms, each featuring an Onsen open-air bath and ocean view, surrounded by the nature of the Goto Islands.

[Awarded 1 Michelin Key for Two Consecutive Years (2024–2025)] Fukue Island in the Goto Islands is a remarkable place where prayer and nature exist in harmony—shaped by its history as a port of call for Japanese missions to Tang China, and by the enduring memory of Hidden Christians who kept their faith alive during times of persecution. Dramatic lava coastlines said to have burst forth from an ogre’s mouth, along with sweeping panoramas where sky and sea seem to merge, invite visitors into a mysterious world. Embraced by this rich climate and culture, our luxury Hotel was created as a symbol for sharing the allure of the Goto Islands, in an exceptional location adjacent to Saikai National Park. Dining features kaiseki cuisine that expresses the island’s seasonal blessings in every course. We also offer spa treatments infused with the vitality of the island, including Goto camellia, guiding you into a sense of calm found only here. On Fukue Island—surrounded by beautiful seas and abundant nature—enjoy a special resort stay that nourishes both body and mind.

  • This was my second visit.I was able to spend a truly relaxing time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This time, the only thing I had previously felt was missing—a regular bath—had been replaced with an Onsen. Since this service had not yet started at the time of my Reservation, it was a very pleasant surprise. The Room is not large, but for a solo traveler and minimalist like me, it is perfect. The design from the entrance to the lobby is simple yet exceptionally tasteful and soothing. The surrounding area offers beautiful scenery while remaining quiet and uncrowded, and I always enjoy taking walks there. My favorite view in particular is when looking toward Onidake from the Abunze Lava Coast Observatory on foot—the way the Hotel sits there without spoiling the landscape. It’s a scene that also appears in the tourism film shown at the Goto Tourism & History Museum, and you can see it with your own eyes.I also enjoyed both the food and drinks, which were carefully explained to me. I think this meal suited my tastes even better than last time, and I was very satisfied. I am also extremely satisfied with the service.A truly great Accommodation is one you want to return to again and again—and this is an Accommodation I would gladly visit again even from far away.

  • They asked about our schedule in advance and arranged taxis and other transportation, which was a great help. Our Reservation time had to be changed due to our circumstances, but they responded immediately. Everyone was very friendly, and we had a comfortable stay. The meals featured plenty of ingredients from the Goto Islands and were absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed the Onsen, making this a very satisfying trip.

The Island of Prayer, an Accommodation of Light

Goto, the Island of Prayer, where faith endured through times of prohibition. Be inspired by a way of life that is both resilient and graceful, and find energy for tomorrow. Beyond the geopark said to have erupted from Oni-no-Kuchi 50,000 years ago lies an age-old theater of sea and sky. A landscape that draws you in, in a space that sets even your heart free. “Cuisine of Light”—Japanese dining featuring abundant seafood, beef, and island vegetables. The scent of the tide, the Goto breeze, and an eternal sky. Past and future are connected; where there is light, shadows are born as well. In one of the island’s most scenic locations, Fukue Island’s first luxury Hotel is born.

Notice from the Accommodation

  • The only high-temperature natural Onsen in the Goto Islands, "Arakawa Onsen"

【From February 1, 2026】All private open-air baths in guest rooms will feature Onsen water.

From February 1, 2026 (Sunday), all guest room open-air baths have been transformed into Onsen.
We have introduced the hot spring water from "Arakawa Onsen," the only high-temperature natural spring in the Goto Islands, to provide a deeper sense of relaxation and comfort during your stay.

    【About Arakawa Onsen】
Arakawa Onsen is a renowned hot spring that has been flowing since the late Edo period. Its soft water gently envelops the skin and is said to be effective for neuralgia, cold sensitivity, and fatigue recovery.
During times when fishing was thriving, many boats gathered at Arakawa Port, and fishermen cherished this hot spring as a place to warm their chilled bodies. It quietly supported the daily lives of people living alongside the sea.
The naturally flowing source is carefully drawn into our guest room open-air baths for you to enjoy, after which it returns to nature's cycle. By cherishing Goto's blessings, we aim to utilize local resources in new ways while preserving their value.
