    Filled with hospitality.

    I stayed here with my sister for a trip to Hokkaido. We were upgraded to a better Room, which made our stay very comfortable. The Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a particularly large bathtub and two sinks in the bathroom, allowing us to prepare leisurely in the morning. The beds were also very comfortable, helping us relax and sleep soundly after our travels. All the staff members were extremely polite and attentive, making our stay pleasant. I would love to stay here again when visiting Sapporo. Thank you very much!

    Personalized service that feels comfortable.

    Impressed by the elegance and high-quality service of this long-established Hotel. From check-in, a bell attendant assisted with carrying luggage. I had the opportunity to use the lounge on the 4th floor, which was quiet and very comfortable. Although there is no large public bath Facility that has become popular recently, the Room was spacious, free from any sense of confinement, and newly renovated, making my stay very pleasant. The breakfast and tea menu in the lounge were of excellent quality and delicious. I look forward to visiting again.

    The room type was left to the accommodation's discretion, and it was reasonably priced, but the room was not renovated, and as someone over 70, I was tense for four days trying not to trip over the step at the bathroom door. The Chinese cuisine at Koukaku remains exceptionally delicious, and the Japanese breakfast is always a delight.

    I feel at ease staying here.

    I frequently stay at various hotels in Sapporo, and I always appreciate the pleasant service. The rooms have been beautifully renovated while retaining the charm of a historic hotel, providing a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. I also enjoy taking my time with breakfast. In an era where business hotels continue to raise their prices, I feel this hotel offers services at a very reasonable rate.

    Delicious breakfast

    Stayed here before and returned for the excellent location and service. The breakfast featured plenty of Hokkaido ingredients, and the hotel's branded dishes were delicious and very satisfying. The facility had a slight tobacco smell in the room, and the water pressure at the sink was low. Once again, the best part of this hotel’s service was the parking staff's guidance.

    Recently renovated and very clean.

    I stayed in a Room on the 8th floor of the main building. The Room had a partial view of the government office, and the scenery was pleasant. The Room was adequately spacious and clean, as it seemed newly built. I appreciated that slippers and toothbrushes for children were provided. The shelf by the window was surprisingly convenient to use. As for the unit bath, it was unfortunate that there wasn’t a place to put clothes.

    Highly Satisfied

    Upon arrival, with some time before my schedule, I explored the first-floor area. There was a Starbucks, a bakery, and a cake shop. I quickly bought a cake and mentioned that I would eat it in my Room; they kindly provided a paper plate as well. At the bakery, the cube-shaped bread was sold out, but when I asked the staff about it, they kindly offered to reserve one for me for the next day. Everything felt luxurious and perfect. Even near the elevators, there was ample space that added to the luxurious atmosphere. The Room had a calming layout where I could sleep soundly. The bathroom was neatly organized yet still exuded luxury. The shampoo and body wash smelled wonderful too. This is truly my luxurious Hotel experience—I can’t wait to visit again!

    There was an unpleasant odor in the plumbing area.

    The Room itself was spacious and clean. However, it was a Room with a separate bath and toilet (divided by a glass door), and I noticed an unpleasant sewer-like smell coming from the bathroom.

    Close to the station and the staff are friendly.

    I stayed in the renovated East Wing. The bathroom had a bathtub and a washing area, and the washroom was spacious and very convenient to use. The toilet was also large and comfortable. The amenities and bathrobes were well-stocked, which made my stay very satisfying. If I may suggest, the restaurant where I had dinner could offer a wider variety of alcoholic beverages. That was slightly disappointing. I would love to stay here again when I visit Sapporo!

    While preserving a historical design, the facility is very clean and excellent. The staff at the front desk provided courteous service, as expected from a long-established accommodation. The breakfast was varied and delicious. Thank you for a wonderful accommodation experience.

    It was comfortable, but just one thing...

    I had a comfortable stay on the Comfort Floor. The bathroom was impressively renovated, with a well-designed washing area. Having worked in Hotel housekeeping and Facility management for many years, I tend to inspect things out of habit. What I noticed was the fraying and lifting of the carpet at the bottom of the bathroom entrance door, where even the gripper is visible. I wondered if it might be due to overflow from the bathroom. Since it's noticeable and could be uncomfortable if someone steps on it barefoot, I feel it would be better to repair it soon. Other than that, both the service and breakfast were excellent!

    Family Trip to Sapporo with Grandchildren

    This was my third stay, and it was the most satisfying experience so far. My son's family also mentioned that this accommodation ranked in their top three among all the hotels they have stayed at, and they were very pleased. The best part was the cleanliness and layout of the room. The meals, both Japanese and Western-style, were delicious; however, it was disappointing that some items ran out and were not replenished. The staff at the front desk and parking area provided excellent service. Unfortunately, I felt that the service from the restaurant staff could have been better. While there were some friendly staff members, I wished for more smiles and attentiveness overall. The attitude of a server can greatly influence whether a meal is enjoyable or not. I hope for an even more enjoyable stay next time!

    Grand in name only.

    The receptionist who checked me in didn’t smile. I could excuse it by saying this is a budget hotel, but this is Japan. The porter, an older man who showed me to my room, was very polite. Two staff members guided me even though I only had a small bag, which was unexpected. The room itself was brand new, so there were no issues there. However, my room was on a low floor and at the very end of a very long corridor. I’m not sure if that was intentional. Price-wise, it felt expensive for the size and for being in a city like Sapporo. The windows were very small due to the building’s history. The view/privacy was an issue because office workers in the building directly across could clearly see into the room. The bathroom felt very cramped and looked cheap, but it was new and clean. Breakfast is not included, but I prefer room service anyway, and a 1,000-yen voucher could be used. There were no staff outside, and when I came in no one guided me, which left me a bit confused.

    The hospitality was exceptional.

    I stayed here during a business trip to Hokkaido. The room included lounge access, and I found the staff's hospitality there to be very pleasant. The next day, I needed a band-aid and asked a cleaning staff member on the accommodation floor. They immediately ran to get one for me, which was truly thoughtful and appreciated. Both the Chinese restaurant and Japanese dining at the hotel offered attentive service, and the food was absolutely delicious. Even though it was a business trip, I felt like I indulged in a luxurious hotel stay. I will definitely choose this accommodation again for my next business trip. Looking forward to visiting again—thank you!

    I had a comfortable stay.

    I stayed here for the first time in several years. The Room was comfortable, but the sink was very small, and I wished it had a bit more space. I was told the breakfast venue might be crowded, so I opted for the Japanese set meal instead of the buffet. It turned out to be very quiet, and I enjoyed a delicious meal at a leisurely pace. The Hotel-made apple pie and fruit cake served as dessert were also very tasty. If I have another opportunity, I would love to stay here again.

    The trust of a long-established Hotel

    I have stayed at several accommodations in central Sapporo within a similar price range, but this was the best. The building itself is old, but the classical interior exudes history and elegance, making it a charming hotel. I stayed in the main building, which has been renovated, so the bathroom facilities were clean and comfortable. The selection of amenities was excellent, including skincare products for men that my husband greatly appreciated. The highlight was definitely the breakfast. The buffet-style breakfast featured Hokkaido specialties such as soup curry and salmon—everything was delicious and there was more than I could eat! The Japanese-style breakfast at their restaurant came pre-set with small dishes; it allowed for a calm dining experience while seated. The grilled fish of the day (hokke) was exceptionally tasty. Choosing a plan with breakfast included turned out to be an excellent decision. If I have another chance to visit Sapporo, this will be my top choice again!

    Is this a Business Hotel???

    The reception was the worst. At 2:50 PM, there were no staff at the entrance! Even after parking the car at the main entrance, no one came out! I had to get out of the car and call out to a bell staff in the lobby before they finally responded. Is this really the standard of this hotel? If so, they should set their Accommodation Fee to match that of a Business Hotel! I never want to visit this hotel again! Wasn't this supposed to be a long-established hotel in Sapporo? I feel like asking for a refund for the difference compared to a Business Hotel.

    The breakfast is very delicious. Omelets, croissants, and soft serve ice cream. The Hotel and Room are very clean. The staff are very kind and always smiling. Great access to transportation. A bus to Chitose Airport departs from the Hotel. Walking distance to the Red Brick Government Building for a post-meal stroll. A must-stay Hotel when visiting Sapporo!

    The Room was spacious enough, and the bathroom and toilet were separate, making it very convenient. The bed and pillows were comfortable, allowing for a good night's sleep. As expected from a long-established Hotel! For dinner, I had salmon roe rice bowl, and for breakfast, I chose Western-style cuisine. I thoroughly enjoyed the specialties of Hokkaido! I'll visit again!

    This is the place to stay in Sapporo!

    The staff are attentive and provide service with care. The Hotel exudes a sense of tradition and elegance. During my 3-night stay, I enjoyed both Japanese-style breakfast and buffet-style breakfast. Both were very delicious, and it was the most balanced meal with plenty of vegetables during my trip. The underground access from the station means no worries about rain, and it's also convenient to visit places like Odori Park from the Hotel—absolutely perfect!

    This was my first time using it.

    A 10-minute straight walk from Sapporo Station, or accessible via an underground passage to avoid the rain. The staff were very kind and attentive. Room amenities cover the basics, though items like cotton swabs and mouthwash could be considered in the future. The showerhead offers adjustable settings with sufficient water pressure. The bathtub is a unique circular bubble bath but quite high, making it challenging to step into—some improvement might be needed here. Bath towels felt slightly worn out; replacing them with newer, softer ones would enhance comfort. The buffet-style breakfast includes a wide variety of both Western and Japanese dishes, with a live omelet station offering freshly made options right in front of you. Overall, this is a Hotel I would like to stay at again. Thank you!
