    It is a wonderful Hotel.

    We stayed here for our honeymoon. The bell staff guided us very smoothly, but the male staff member at the front desk seemed inexperienced, and we felt a bit uneasy about his Japanese. However, we were very satisfied because the Room was wonderful and the breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options! The lounge had long opening hours, plenty of food and drink choices, and it was spacious and quiet, which we really liked. When we visit Hokkaido again, we would definitely like to stay in the same Room!

    Old, but well maintained and thoughtfully updated.

    The building itself is quite old, but it has been well updated and is comfortable. The heating works well, and there are no issues with hot water. The staff are top-notch and welcoming, making you want to stay again. The only drawback is the thin walls. Voices from the neighboring Room are easier to hear than in other Hotels. Since the building is old, it may be unavoidable, but this is something I wish had been addressed during the main building renovation.

    As always, it’s a relaxing and comforting space.

    It was my first stay in Sapporo in a while, and I was truly happy to be welcomed so warmly as always. Thank you for upgrading me to a spacious Room, which allowed me to relax and enjoy my stay. There are many Hotels in Sapporo, but a long-established Hotel offers an unmatched sense of reassurance. I’m planning to visit again in September. I’m also looking forward to enjoying breakfast made with Hokkaido ingredients again.

    Great location.

    Conveniently located near both the station and the downtown area! Parking is also available, making the location excellent! The Room is spacious for the price and feels great!

    Executive Lounge!

    I stayed at a Hotel in Sapporo with a Plan that includes access to the lounge. The lounge has no windows, but with calm lighting and spacious seating it feels luxurious, and the staff were very pleasant—truly what you would expect from a long-established grand hotel. The homemade apple pie and cakes were especially delicious, and I also enjoyed the snacks served from 5:00 PM. There was also a wide selection of alcoholic drinks. This time I booked No Meals Included, but if you are fine with a light breakfast, the drinks, salad, fruit, and bread available in the lounge were more than enough. It was also nice to be able to enjoy alcohol from the morning.

    The perfect base in Sapporo with an excellent location and outstanding staff service

    Guests who leave high ratings likely choose the Executive Floor. The older Rooms felt like a standard Business Hotel level. Even so, this long-established Hotel still offers an excellent stay overall. I truly appreciated the attentiveness and professionalism of all the staff.

    Amazing hospitality!

    Whenever you need help, the bell staff will take care of anything. My top recommendation is the Executive Lounge. Definitely book a Room that includes access to it!! You can have all three meals here. A great variety of delicious happy hour appetizers. Their special apple pie. The cheese—everything is delicious! I’ll be back soon! lol

    Because it is direct...

    Because it is directly connected to the underground passage, getting around was very easy even during a blizzard. The lounge was also very comfortable, and I could relax. Everyone at the Hotel was kind and courteous, and I would like to stay again.

    Excellent location, with a comfortable Executive Lounge.

    We stayed for two nights to visit the Sapporo Snow Festival. Both Sapporo Station and the main Odori venue are within walking distance, and the hotel is directly connected to the underground pedestrian walkway, so you can get around comfortably without going outside. If you walk a bit farther, you can also reach Susukino on foot. We chose a Room on the Executive Floor. The lounge, free to use from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, was very comfortable—we enjoyed a light breakfast, their signature apple pie, and wine and other drinks before and after dinner. The Room was also comfortable; the bed and pillows were great. It seems you can also access various information and services via your smartphone. If we have a chance to visit Sapporo again, we would like to stay on the Executive Floor again.

    Visit during the Snow Festival

    I was a bit anxious as it was my first winter in Hokkaido, but the location was perfect—almost directly connected to Sapporo Station via the underground walkway and close to the Snow Festival venue. The Facility was excellent, the staff were all very kind and welcoming, and the meals were delicious. I didn’t have time to try them on this quick trip, but the on-site bakery and cakes looked great, so I’d love to try them next time.

    It was comfortable.

    It was tough getting to Sapporo because of the snow, but we had a very comfortable stay. Having direct access to the underground shopping arcade was more helpful than we expected. The service in the lobby, the service in the executive lounge, and the amenities in the guest room—everything was excellent. If I had one request, it would be for a slightly larger bathtub, but that’s about it. There is also an airport bus stop right in front of the Hotel, which was very convenient!

    Rooms renovated in July 2025 do not have USB ports installed.

    The staff's service at check-in was exceptional. As a Diamond member benefit, we received a 1,000 yen in-house voucher per person and late check-out until 12:00 PM, which were delightful perks. Stayed in the Grand Classic Queen/Double Room/Non-Smoking, renovated on July 4th, 2025. Despite the recent renovation last year, there were no USB ports installed, which was inconvenient. The heating system remained outdated and did not warm the room sufficiently. Although I was aware of the compact unit bath before booking, it took about 20 minutes to fill the bathtub with water; naturally, the shower water pressure was also weak and frustrating.

    The most recommended Hotel in Sapporo

    A stay at a historic hotel in Sapporo, where you can experience professional hospitality. The front desk staff, restaurant staff (Chinese cuisine), and room cleaning team all provided pleasant service and warm conversations. The room I stayed in included access to the club lounge, which I highly recommend. The selection of alcoholic beverages was excellent, with offerings like soup and amazake that changed depending on the time of day, making it an enjoyable experience. (Although I used it for work purposes, I found myself unsure whether I was working or just indulging!) It's a bit disappointing that there’s only an in-room bath; however, lavender bath balls were provided as a nice touch—3 stars for that! The arcade on the second floor felt slightly underwhelming but holds promise for improvement in the future. I would love to stay here again when visiting Sapporo!

    I stayed for three n...

    I stayed for three nights starting from December 1st. This is the Hotel where I held my wedding 47 years ago. The calm and serene atmosphere of the interior has remained unchanged. What moved me the most was the glass door panel and the lily-of-the-valley ceramic tile. I prayed, "May they always remain here."

    The Room was newly renovated, spacious, and clean beyond expectations. Although the view from the window was mostly of a building right in front, I could just barely see a TV tower at the edge. The light snacks in the lounge were very delicious. However, both staff members who handled my luggage before and after check-in had extremely poor attitudes, which left me feeling unpleasant... Overall, with the great Room and lounge experience, I think it was good value for money!

    Thank you for a wonderful stay.

    I stayed for two nights. Although I arrived earlier than the check-in time, just after noon, I was allowed to check in immediately, which was very helpful. The East Wing Large Twin Room I reserved was spacious, and the bathroom with a separate bathtub and washing area was very convenient. All the staff were kind and provided information about subway schedules, underground pathways, and recommended ramen shops. They even lent me an umbrella when it was snowing—thank you so much! It was a truly wonderful stay. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Executive Floor

    I stayed on the Executive Floor and enjoyed lounge access, which was excellent. Both the drinks and food were of high quality, leaving me very satisfied. While Hokkaido specialty sweets were available, everything else was so outstanding that I felt it would be a waste to eat them. Contrary to my expectations, there were many guests using the breakfast service, and the freshly baked delicious bread ran out midway.

    I have been using this accommodation for my business trips to Sapporo over the past few years. The staff's service, the hotel's facilities, and its location maintain a high level of quality and convenience, making it a representative hotel of Sapporo. These aspects are highly commendable. However, during my recent stay in the East Wing Deluxe Twin Room, I noticed some areas that could be improved: ① The room's wallpaper is peeling in some places, giving an outdated impression and suggesting insufficient maintenance. ② The sofa and desk are placed at opposite ends of the room (with two beds in between), making them inconvenient to use and not conducive to relaxation. ③ There are multiple white stains scattered on the carpet. As I would like to continue using this accommodation in the future, I hope these issues will be addressed for improvement.

    It was a comfortable stay!

    The room was booked under the "Room by Hotel's Choice Plan," which I often use, but this time it was my first stay in a beautifully renovated room in the main building. The classic-style room was comfortable, easy to use, and allowed for a relaxing stay, leaving me very satisfied. The hotel's illuminations and tree were beautiful, making it an enjoyable visit. Check-out could be done smoothly using the machine next to the front desk without any waiting time, which was also great.

    I can only stay at Sapporo Grand Hotel.

    This time, I stayed in a room on the Executive Floor. The bathroom had a spacious washing area, making it very convenient to use, and I was able to relax comfortably with the large sofa and king-size bed. I highly recommend using the Executive Lounge. The happy hour offerings of various hors d'oeuvres, cheese, apple pie, and drinks were exceptional. Additionally, the patisserie’s twisted donuts and cream coronets were outstanding—I’ve never encountered such delicious bread even in Tokyo. The lunch buffet at Northern Terrace Diner was also delicious and fully booked. A Reservation is recommended. Lastly, what truly sets Sapporo Grand Hotel apart is its unparalleled hospitality. The staff are incredibly warm-hearted and attentive to guests' needs. Each staff member has their own charm, creating memories that build up with every stay. I often find myself wondering if I’ll see those smiles again as I Complete my Reservation while thinking of all the wonderful staff members. They go above and beyond to help find great restaurants or shops selling items you want—they even brainstorm ideas together with you! Thank you for always putting up with my requests! (Haha) P.S. The steak pilaf and miso ramen from room service were absolutely delicious! Looking forward to my next visit!

    Excellent!

    Stayed for two nights with breakfast included. Sapporo Grand Hotel has been a dream hotel for me since childhood as a native of Hokkaido. The room, the impeccable cleanliness in every aspect, the delicious meals, and the high level of staff service were all exceptional. The soft and comforting scent in the elevator! The professionalism of the room staff! This is truly an amazing hotel that lives up to its reputation. I believe I was upgraded to a better grade room than what I had reserved. I would love to stay here again!

    A long-established Hotel in Sapporo

    As a resident of Sapporo, I tried the special plan for power outages. There were unique qualities you can only experience by staying, and I enjoyed both Chinese and Japanese meals, which were truly delicious and satisfying. Although operated separately from the hotel, there is a reservation-based sauna facility on-site that was also excellent. The luggage porter service was very impressive as well.

    I felt very relaxed.

    I visited 40 years ago and still remember the wonderful hospitality even as a child. Winning tickets to Mrs.'s live performance, I chose this place without hesitation. Both restaurants were delicious, and the warm, unchanging hospitality made me feel very relaxed. The spa treatment was also excellent. I will definitely visit again whenever I come to Sapporo.

    I stayed here with my sister for a trip to Hokkaido. We were upgraded to a better Room, which made our stay very comfortable. The Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a particularly large bathtub and two sinks in the bathroom, allowing us to prepare leisurely in the morning. The beds were also very comfortable, helping us relax and sleep soundly after our travels. All the staff members were extremely polite and attentive, making our stay pleasant. I would love to stay here again when visiting Sapporo. Thank you very much!

    Impressed by the elegance and high-quality service of this long-established Hotel. From check-in, a bell attendant assisted with carrying luggage. I had the opportunity to use the lounge on the 4th floor, which was quiet and very comfortable. Although there is no large public bath Facility that has become popular recently, the Room was spacious, free from any sense of confinement, and newly renovated, making my stay very pleasant. The breakfast and tea menu in the lounge were of excellent quality and delicious. I look forward to visiting again.
