    Room is wonderful

    The room's facilities were excellent, and the environment was also good for animals. The only downside was the front desk's customer service attitude.

    It was a wonderful Facility.

    I stayed at a log house. It was a wonderful Facility, especially the Onsen was great. The environment was well-suited for staying with dogs, and we had a lot of fun. However, I was troubled by insects coming into the Room.

    Staying Overnight with Your Beloved Dog for the First Time

    After getting a dog, this was our first overnight stay in six months. The weather was great, and we were blessed with good weather. We stayed one night in a dome cottage with two meals included, and the size was just right. The buffet meals were very delicious. Among them, the grilled beef tongue, cooked on the spot and served on a plate to eat while hot, was the best memory. I went for seconds many times. There was also red rice, and it was so delicious that I want to eat it again. The bath, including the open-air bath and sauna, was very warming. Our relationship as a couple improved, and we plan to go again next year.

    A paradise for dogs, but also a paradise for people!

    Due to scheduling constraints, we could only stay for one night, but we wished we could have stayed for at least two nights! There were so many things to enjoy. The cottage is only about a year old, so it's new and clean. Although our family usually isn't very interested in saunas, we found ourselves wanting to use the private sauna a lot. Enjoying the onsen open-air bath in the room was also fantastic. I saw many reviews saying the food wasn't good, but I found the buffet meals, both in the morning and evening, to be quite satisfying in terms of variety and taste. Other guests nearby also commented that the food was very delicious. Unless you're someone who regularly dines at high-end restaurants, I don't think there would be any issues. I thought the shared dog run was small considering the size of the property, but our dog was able to play freely on the spacious lawn, and there was also a run in the room, so our pet seemed quite satisfied. There were two points that I found a bit disappointing: 1. The floor in the room is slippery. Since I believe this is a facility meant for guests with dogs, I would have liked to see some anti-slip treatment. I was particularly concerned because small dogs have weak joints. 2. The staff weren't unfriendly, but they weren't particularly welcoming either. In my experience with various dog-friendly hotels, staff usually engage with the dogs, talking or smiling at them, but at the front desk, restaurant, and even the Snow Peak shop staff, they completely ignored us. Perhaps I'm more critical because I work in customer service, but their attitude was like that of a neighbor who neither likes nor dislikes dogs. If it's difficult to be polite in language and behavior, at least a bit of friendliness would be appreciated. Nevertheless, overall, it was a very satisfying stay. I think I will return.

    I use it several times a year. Which Room is good? I'm trying various ones now. Winter is indeed cold. Around Golden Week is the most comfortable. It's attractive because you can play with various dogs. It's a place where dogs come first, so it's a good place! There are no convenience stores or supermarkets nearby, so it's recommended to shop beforehand!

    I was satisfied, but

    This was my third time staying at the high-grade cottage. The onsen with a wood stove and wood sauna was very nice. The price is good, but since there is a distance to the onsen, having the onsen and wood sauna was the best. However, the firewood didn't last as long as expected, making it feel busy, and the ceiling fan in the room was broken, so it didn't rotate, making the loft on the second floor too hot to sleep. Other than that, it was very good.

    The first trip with my beloved dog was fantastic!

    We used this place for our first family trip with our 9-year-old beloved dog. The Room was clean and the open-air bath was fantastic! Our dog was a bit anxious about staying away from home for the first time, but he ate well and slept, behaving just like at home, which was reassuring (laughs). When we checked in, it was already dark and it rained the next day, so unfortunately, we couldn't use the dog run. However, it was great that we could enter both the front desk and the shop with our dog, allowing us to leisurely look at and choose souvenirs! At Snow Peak across the road, we ended up buying a down coat for our dog on impulse (laughs). My elderly mother was also pleased, saying, "I'd like to stay here again!" We hope to visit again with the family next year!

    I would like to use it again.

    Everything except the meals was good. Breakfast was ordinary, but dinner was as other reviews mentioned. The room had a sauna and an open-air bath, and since the onsen and facilities were good, I would like to stay next time without meals. The beef tongue was the only good thing at dinner, but there was an atmosphere that made it difficult to order, so I only ordered it once.

    A Paradise for Dogs

    Stayed at the Angel Forest Log Cabin for the first time. Check-in had a long line... The speed of explanations varied depending on the staff. We had a barbecue in the Room for dinner, but overall it was average. Breakfast was a buffet, and there wasn’t anything particularly delicious... However, there were plenty of Facilities for dogs to enjoy, so my dog was very excited and happy. I’d like to visit again with my beloved dog!

    Perfect for those traveling with dogs.

    This time, we stayed with our daughter's family in two separate cottages at Kaura. Dogs are allowed at the front desk, cottages, restaurant, and even inside the Snow Peak store, so you can use the facilities with peace of mind even if you have a dog. The buffet meals are always delicious, and the all-you-can-drink alcohol for 1,300 yen is a delight. Our daughter and her husband, who love onsens, also enjoyed the onsen here and went in several times. One concern is that there seemed to be a shortage of staff, as the front desk personnel were also handling the unmanned shop and canoe boarding, which seemed challenging. Additionally, it would be helpful for pet cart users if a ramp could be added to the stairs leading down to the dog run from the restaurant. It seems that a new facility is under construction where there used to be a free campsite, so we definitely want to use it again.

    The room is not very...

    The room is not very clean. There were hairs on the futon, and the facility is generally aging. I thought the quality of the onsen bath was good, but in the morning, for some reason, there was no hot water, and it became a cold bath. (Facility malfunction?) The charging facility for electric vehicles remains broken. I informed the front desk, but they seemed unaware of the malfunction in the first place. The scenery is great and the nature is wonderful, so it's good for a visit, but staying overnight is a bit...

    The entire facility ...

    The entire facility was spacious and very nice. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great, so we couldn't enjoy it as much, but overall we were satisfied. It was especially nice that we could dine with our pet, so we didn't have to leave them feeling lonely. There were some areas where the cleaning wasn't thorough, but considering they welcome pets, I think it's understandable.

    I made a last-minute reservation, so I stayed in a dome-shaped room. The room was more spacious and cleaner than the photos. It was large enough for two adults and a small dog. The interior was simple, and the amenities were basic. It would have been even better with a shower curtain. The dining area was ordinary. It was a simple place like a food court with no atmosphere, but the food was delicious, and I appreciated being able to rent a cart. The public bath was a bit disappointing. The outdoor spa was overgrown with weeds, and the bath was full of debris. Even though it's outdoors, I wish they had done a bit more cleaning and maintenance of the plants. I think people who are very particular about cleanliness might not be able to use it. Overall, I'm glad I stayed! Above all, it was a very friendly and enjoyable place for those with dogs!! The grounds are spacious, and one night might not be enough! I think it's a place where kids can also have fun! Compared to Tokyo, it was cooler, and the mornings and evenings were truly a healing space!!

    Perfect for dogs

    I was able to go to the front desk, shop, and restaurant with my dog without any stress. There were some reviews suggesting that people with dogs should be separated in the restaurant, but those people can go elsewhere, so please do. Being able to enter the restaurant with my dog is very precious! I was very grateful. The food was delicious, the cost performance was good, and the staff was very kind. My family and I definitely want to visit again. Thank you very much.

    Spacious!

    We visited here to celebrate the one-year anniversary of our former rescue dog joining our family. We chose a room type where we could park within the premises, so we didn't have to worry about him escaping and he could relax. We had dinner and breakfast in the room, and the portions were so large that we couldn't finish them, but they were very delicious. All the staff were very kind, and since it was my birthday month, they even provided a cute cake as a service. There was some droppings from a dog? or wild animal? on the premises, but since wet wipes and toilet supplies were all prepared, we were able to pick it up and dispose of it in the outdoor trash bin provided, which was good. The only downside was that the sink, toilet, and bath were outside the room, so it was a bit inconvenient when I wanted to wash my hands (I should have researched this properly beforehand). The glass door of the washroom/dressing room had blinds, but they were broken, which was a bit concerning. There were plenty of places for our dog to play, and once he gets a bit more accustomed, we would like to stay here again and let him play a lot in the dog run. Next time, I would like to stay in a different type of room!

    Very satisfied

    We used this place for the first time with my parents, my husband and I, our dog, my daughter and her husband, and their baby, making a total of seven people. We stayed in a dome cottage, which was new, clean, and very comfortable. The meals were buffet-style for both dinner and breakfast, and they were very delicious. The dog buffet was also wonderful. However, since dinner was by reservation and we had to wait nearly 30 minutes even at our reserved time, I hope that can be improved. The hot spring had an open-air bath, was spacious and clean, and we enjoyed the pool as well. It was unfortunate that the spa was out of order and we couldn't use it. There were many guests with dogs, and it was great that the accommodation was dog-first. The surrounding environment was very nice, and all the staff were pleasant, so we definitely want to visit again.

    I go every year, but

    I visit every year, and the lovely log house surrounded by nature is very soothing. I don't honestly expect much from the staff's service, so I'm generally satisfied. I use the breakfast buffet, and it's ordinarily delicious. This place is more about enjoying nature than hospitality, so it's a favorite spot of mine. I'll visit again next year.

    The hot spring is spacious and not too uncomfortable even during busy times, but there are only four sinks and hairdryers, so you have to wait in line for a hairdryer after bathing. At the same time, the cleaning was insufficient. It might be unavoidable since it was the peak summer season, but I hope for improvement. I thought the meals were appropriate for the price. The front desk staff were also friendly and approachable. Overall, I think it's a comfortable facility for dogs.

    We stayed for one night with our 15-year-old small dog. The meals were delicious both in the morning and evening, and we were able to sleep well at night. The only thing that bothered me was the lack of a "disinfected" label on the toilet and slippers. If that can be addressed, it would be perfect.

    My beloved dog didn't want to leave...

    I used it for the first time. My beloved dog seemed very happy to meet various other dogs. We stayed in a dome cottage in the woods, and it seemed like there were relatively few insects.     This was my first time staying here. The scenery is simply amazing. I stayed in a glamping cabin, but the blinds were broken. When I checked in, they said they would fix it, and they did while I was at the dog run. When I arrived at the cabin and checked, there was still a snag, and eventually, it wouldn't go up, so I rated it minus 1. I received a 10% discount ticket and used it to buy souvenirs. Other than that, I am very satisfied. If the price were a little cheaper, it would be perfect. I will visit again.

    The log premium cottage we stayed in was truly wonderful and clean, to the point where I wanted to live there forever. Our beloved dog seemed happy as he trotted around the room on a little room tour. My son was also very satisfied as he was able to play to his heart's content in the garden. The view of the large lake within the vast grounds was as beautiful as a foreign landscape. However, the pool, garden spa, and hot springs were quite old, so I hope they can be renovated to be more beautiful. It was great that we could use the restaurant together with our beloved dog. I would be happier if the food was a bit more delicious... My parents, who are in their 70s, find it difficult to walk long distances, so I think it would have been more comfortable if there were bicycles, electric carts, or shuttles available to get to the restaurant and activity areas. I am considering using it again if we focus on spending time in the cottage.

    Great value for money!!

    This is my second visit in two years. This time, since we were four people and two dogs, we chose a slightly larger room. The wood-burning sauna is the best. The temperature, humidity, and aroma. The bath also has hot spring water, and the stone bathtub has a nice atmosphere and is easy to get into, so I took several baths. Dinner was a BBQ in the room. The quality, taste, and quantity were perfect. It might be too much for those with a small appetite. The breakfast buffet feels ordinary, but it has a countryside meal vibe. Dog meals were prepared for both night and morning, and our two dogs finished them deliciously. The beds are made, but we lay out the futons ourselves. They were neatly prepared, so we could lay them out quickly. Since there was a kitchen and a fully automatic washing machine, we are saying we want to stay for about three nights next time. Above all, the cost performance is excellent.

Every time, I wonder, and I've heard from others too, why such a wonderful hot spring only opens at 7 AM? It also closes early at night, which is quite inconvenient.     A hotel that caters to dogs in every possible way

    This was my second stay. Last time, I stayed in a room with a sauna, and the wood stove was very nice. This time, I stayed in a detached house type room with a dog run. The room was very spacious and open, and I was able to relax as if I were at home. There are also a refrigerator, kitchen, and washing machine, so it is well-equipped for a long stay. Moreover, the bath in the room also has hot spring water, so you can enjoy the hot springs without going to the large public bath. For dinner, we had sukiyaki in the room, and they even prepared a meal for our dog, which was touching. The taste was also very delicious. This time, it was our beloved dog's birthday month and a birthday trip, and when we informed them in advance, they provided a birthday cake service, which made us very happy. We could go to the restaurant with our dog for the breakfast buffet, and there was also a buffet for dogs, so not only could we eat together on the spot, but there was also a takeaway pack for dogs, allowing us to bring back a souvenir. It was truly a trip with services that catered to both humans and dogs, leaving us extremely satisfied. Unfortunately, it rained this time, and we couldn't fully enjoy the garden dog run, so we would like to stay again in a season with good weather!

    I was extremely satisfied!

    I stayed at the dome cottage. It was me, my husband, and our elementary school-aged son, and the room had an air bed, so the space was more than sufficient. We have one Shiba Inu. Although we didn't use it, there was a foldable cage placed in the room. The dinner and breakfast buffets allowed dogs to accompany, and dog food was also provided. The variety of food for humans was abundant and tasted good. My son had a great time canoeing and fishing. Our dog seemed very happy playing energetically with various friends at the dog run. The large public bath was spacious, and overall, we were very satisfied with our stay. Next time, we would like to stay in a villa with a family friend who also has a Shiba Inu.
