We enjoyed the wood-burning stove!
Although the past few days had been so warm that the snow from the previous week seemed to have melted away, we found plenty of remaining snow when we arrived and were able to fully enjoy the cozy warmth of the wood-burning stove, just as we had hoped. The Facility was also well maintained and very clean considering it is pet-friendly, and the Onsen was excellent. We would love to stay again on another occasion.

Cleanliness is essential.
I have visited several times over the past 10 years, but during this stay at the Lakeside Cottage, I noticed deterioration in the building and outdated interiors. There was duct tape on the lighting and air conditioner (possibly for insect prevention?), a missing part on the faucet handle, hair left in the sink area, large dust balls on the floor, and a used cleaning wipe left in the bathroom. Was this meant to suggest guests should use it? As others have mentioned, proper cleaning is essential for me to consider returning. In addition to wear and tear, seasonal factors may be unavoidable, but stink bugs entered the room. As someone who dislikes insects, it was quite challenging. The Onsen facility remained unchanged from before; however, there were no chairs near the hairdryer area. While I assume this is for crowd control reasons, I wish it could be more accommodating. The buffet meals included local ingredients which were nice; however, a bit more cleanliness would improve things. That said, it’s an excellent environment for dogs with pleasant walking areas. The newly opened Snow Peak Café on-site was also fantastic!

Disappointed with insects and hygiene.
The accommodation is situated on a vast property, making it difficult to locate upon arrival. The smart check-in system was very confusing, and finding the entrance to the Garden Sun Terrace was time-consuming. It turned out that the inner terrace door, which initially appeared locked, led to the actual entrance—a setup that is not intuitive for first-time visitors. Clear instructions via signage or email would have been helpful. The room itself was new and free of any pet odors, which was nice. However, there were an overwhelming number of stink bugs inside the room, completely ruining any sense of relaxation. While I understand this is a nature-focused accommodation and insects are expected in such environments, having so many bugs in the room made it impossible to feel comfortable. I strongly suggest implementing better pest control measures. I chose this accommodation because of its outdoor bath attached to the Garden Sun Terrace; however, there were also numerous stink bugs in that area as well, so I decided not to use it at all—very disappointing. Additionally, red mold in the bath area had been left uncleaned, raising concerns about hygiene. For meals, I opted for a buffet at the restaurant. While overall tasty, there weren’t many options available and it didn’t offer much in terms of showcasing local cuisine. Overall, while I understand efforts were made towards creating a systematic flow with features like smart check-in systems, they lacked intuitive design and caused more confusion than convenience. Above all else though—the sight of a room overrun with stink bugs left such an unpleasant impression that I would never consider staying here again. Truly disappointing!

This was our first time staying here to celebrate our dog's birthday. The food was delicious, the Room was clean, and we had a very comfortable stay. We would love to stay again. However, it would be nice if there were a few more streetlights.

Very satisfied.
This was our first time using this accommodation for a trip to visit a family grave. We have stayed at various accommodations with our pet before, but this was the best experience so far. The cottage design was adorable, and even the Air simple bed seemed comfortable enough. We enjoyed both the dinner and breakfast buffets, and the free buffet corner exclusively for dogs was well-stocked, leaving our dog very satisfied. Of course, the human buffet also had a wide variety of options and was excellent. The live kitchen during dinner featured thick yet tender beef tongue that tasted amazing—our family thoroughly enjoyed it. The live kitchen at breakfast served French toast, which was so delicious that we went back for seconds despite being full! The onsen was very relaxing; however, since it closes at 10 PM and cleaning started around 9:45 PM, my family felt it might have been slightly early to begin cleaning. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our stay and would love to return in the future. Thank you very much!

Used for the second trip to Fukushima
This accommodation was recommended by a friend from Fukushima. Unfortunately, it was raining on the day of our stay, so we couldn't enjoy the cottage's garden, but our dog had a great time during the morning walk the next day. The cottage room was spacious and allowed us to relax. However, there were a few concerns. Due to the rich nature of the area, it might be unavoidable, but there were many stink bugs on the room curtains, which surprised us. Also, possibly due to the rain, water accumulated in the outdoor sandals, which was inconvenient. When we informed the staff about these issues, they responded kindly and helpfully. Despite these minor issues, the accommodation lived up to its reputation and was wonderful. Thank you for your hospitality. We would love to stay again if we have the chance.

The accommodation was new, clean, and very comfortable. Amenities for dogs were well-prepared, which was reassuring; however, there was no dog bed provided, so we had some difficulty deciding where to let our dog sleep. Additionally, the flooring was slightly slippery. The facility included an open-air bath and a sauna. The open-air bath had silky water that felt wonderful. On the other hand, lighting the sauna was challenging; even after using all the provided fire starters, we couldn't get it lit and ended up using a snack box purchased from the shop to ignite it. It would be helpful if more fire starters were supplied. Regarding meals, they seemed thoughtfully prepared within a limited budget. However, since the accommodation cost is not particularly low, slightly higher-grade meals might enhance satisfaction. That said, having buffet-style meals for dogs with different menus for morning and evening was truly delightful. Given the large premises of the accommodation site, shuttle service between lodging buildings and dining areas would be appreciated—especially on rainy days when moving around becomes more difficult. Both outdoor and indoor dog runs were available on-site—a much-appreciated feature. There were also convenient showers at restaurant and café entrances to wash dogs' paws; however, towels were not provided alongside them. Adding towels would make these facilities even more user-friendly. While there were some concerns here and there overall this facility is excellent for staying with dogs!

A Paradise for Dogs! While service and facilities need improvement, overall satisfaction is high.
Staying with my beloved dog was wonderful, and the entire facility felt like a paradise for dogs. There was a dog run, and the restaurant could also be used with pets, which was very satisfying. The room was reasonably clean, but the bathtub lacked a handle and was slippery, making it slightly inconvenient for my elderly mother to get in and out. Additionally, there was no internal phone line, so I had to use my own smartphone for inquiries. When there was no hot water in the bath and I inquired about it, I was told to "turn on the boiler switch," which would have been helpful information during check-in. The staff's response at check-in left something to be desired. They seemed distracted by other matters during our interaction and repeatedly said "excuse me" while leaving their seat multiple times, making it difficult to proceed calmly with the process. The price during Obon season was high; however, I would consider staying again during the off-season.

A Hotel Where You Can Enjoy Nature with Your Dog
The hotel where we could dine with our dog was excellent. Surrounded by nature, we enjoyed pleasant walks. The bed in the room was extremely comfortable. We were aware that for 3 guests, one would use an airbed, but we didn't expect to set it up ourselves. It would have been better if this information was made clearer during the reservation process.

I stayed here again ...
I stayed here again this year. The room was keyless, which was very convenient and great, but the cleaning was disappointing. Proper cleaning was not done unless requested, and the work took place near evening, which was inconvenient. It's a wonderful place for my beloved dog, and the other facilities are excellent, so it's truly unfortunate. I'm considering whether to avoid a Multiple Night Stay.

Summer Family Trip
Stayed one night with our family and beloved dog at the Lakeside Village. Being summer, we expected some insects due to the environment, and while the building is old, the room was clean and comfortable. The lake right in front of us and a private dog run made for a perfect location to relax. There are plenty of spaces for dogs to play, as well as high-quality Onsen facilities, restaurants, and cafes for people to enjoy. The night sky was filled with stars, making it a satisfying experience for everyone. However, front desk service was mixed (1 win vs 2 losses), so I gave it 2 stars overall. Would love to visit again!

Very enjoyable
I had a pleasant stay. The Facility was, of course, satisfactory, but I think it would be better if the shop and bath hours were extended a bit. It was a bit disappointing that I could only enjoy about half of the first day due to rain, but it was such a nice place that I would love to visit again.

The Facility was comfortable as we stayed in a new Room. The open-air bath in the Room is fed by natural hot springs and available 24 hours. The dog run is well-equipped, and the walking paths are well-maintained, making it very pleasant. Once you make the effort to reach the Facility, it's perfect!

First-time Use
I stayed here for the first time with my beloved dog. The area is rich in nature, the dog run is spacious, and the air is fresh, which made my dog very happy. Meals included food for dogs as well. The Room was a cozy cottage with ample space. Additionally, the bathwater was excellent. Next time, I would like to try the forest sauna. I will definitely visit again, so thank you in advance!

I had a relaxing and leisurely time.
The Onsen was particularly wonderful. The garden spa, where swimsuits are required, had cherry blossoms in full bloom even during Golden Week, and the open-air bath was very relaxing. The large public bath opened from 7 a.m., and many guests enjoyed a morning soak. For dinner, we chose the BBQ course on our room's terrace. Everything from ingredients to charcoal preparation was provided, allowing us to enjoy it at our preferred time. However, since we started after dark, the terrace lighting was weak and limited to one spot, which made it slightly inconvenient. For breakfast, we opted for the buffet at the restaurant. It was enjoyable as there aren't many restaurants where you can dine with your dog. While some parts of the facility seem new, the cottage we stayed in had several issues such as broken locks and water fixtures in the room. The cleaning also left much to be desired; there were dog footprints and fur around, and when wiping the floor with wet tissues, they turned black. Even if it's an older building, cleanliness would have made a big difference. Unfortunately, due to weather conditions, we couldn't participate in activities like fishing or canoeing. If given another opportunity to visit again someday, I would like to try staying in one of their newer buildings!

It was my first stay...
It was my first stay, and the private bath in my room was spacious, but above all, the Onsen was excellent. The shop had souvenirs and drinks, allowing me to enjoy a relaxing two-night stay. It would be great if there were some shade at the dog run during summer. I look forward to visiting again around autumn for another leisurely stay. Thank you very much!

The buffet offers a wide variety of dishes, all of which are delicious, and you can relax in the Onsen. Plus, there's even a buffet for dogs, making it an absolutely satisfying experience! The indoor dog run is spacious, and the outdoor dog run has great views, allowing for a very pleasant time! I definitely want to visit again!

The ultimate pet-friendly resort.
This was our first visit. Staying in an accommodation surrounded by a snowy white world in April felt special, and our beloved dog was overjoyed, making it a truly wonderful memory! The room had a beautiful log house style, the onsen with views of the snow was delightful, the projector added comfort, and the fireplace (starting the fire was fun) created an amazing atmosphere. We enjoyed playing in the snow with our dog in the garden, and everything from the fluffy bed to every detail was perfect. And above all, the "Wanwan Buffet" for dogs! This is quite rare to find elsewhere. Although it was always busy due to its popularity, every dish had high quality and we were very satisfied. The breakfast especially stood out as delicious and earned high points from us. Next time, we plan to wake up earlier to enjoy it more leisurely. A drum-type washing machine with a dryer was also provided; I even thought you could almost come empty-handed. I’m considering making this my go-to place for holidays moving forward. Thank you for providing us with an exceptional holiday experience!

Harmonia HL
Stayed for one night from 3/16 at a dog-friendly accommodation for the first time. The room was Harmonia HL, equipped with a wood stove, spacious, and included an onsen open-air bath and sauna—absolutely perfect. We were worried about whether there would be snow during this season, but it snowed on the day, making it an unforgettable experience.

High-grade?
This time, we stayed at the high-grade cottage "Orvi" to celebrate a birthday. From the photos, it gave the impression of a luxurious vacation home, but... the marble floor had cracks, and the grout had turned brown. The furniture didn't feel particularly luxurious, and the placement of outlets was not ideal, making the stay less comfortable. Perhaps because the Room was so spacious, the cleaning was not thorough. Dust had accumulated on the shelf behind the bathroom mirror and in the kitchen drawers, bread crumbs were found near the oven range, and trash from facial cleanser was left in the bathroom... The food was delicious, but we couldn't find where the IH plate was, and since there were no available outlets, we had to unplug the air purifier to use it. We've visited several times, and the lodge and cottage types were very comfortable, so we splurged on the high-grade option this time, but it felt disappointing. I think we will visit Angel Forest again, but next time, we will choose a concept that allows us to enjoy a cozy and outdoor-like experience.

Snow play is the best!
We visited as a couple with a large dog. We fully enjoyed the great outdoors with activities like the dog run and walks by the lakeside, and our beloved dog seemed truly happy. The Onsen was well-equipped with open-air baths and saunas. We were surprised that the meals for the dogs were not just dog food! It seems a lot of effort was put into it. There were also treats for the dog in the room, and we felt truly welcomed. If I may add, it would be even better if the bath hours started from 6 AM. We will visit again while we can still enjoy playing in the snow.

We stayed with one dog and family. It became a truly wonderful memory. Thank you very much. We also appreciate the introduction to your site, IKYU. The guest room was very clean as it was newly completed. Everything from tables and chairs to flooring is smooth. The high quality of various amenities and supplies is also impressive. The sheets were not too stiff and felt good on the skin, allowing for a good night's sleep. The amenities for the dog were also very thorough. The open-air Onsen was excellent. Check-in was completed entirely online without going to the front desk. We were guided to the cottage by GPS and arrived without getting lost. Check-out took only a few seconds. It was comfortable with no waiting at all. Not only the open-air bath but also the indoor bath has Onsen. You can use the indoor bath when it gets cold. The shower has sufficient water pressure. It is clean and well-maintained, partly because it is new. This time, we chose the dinner buffet. It was about a 3-minute walk to the venue with the dog. We could sit around the table with the dog and family. There were many people with dogs at the venue, so we could enjoy it without hesitation. Additive-free vegetables and chicken breast were prepared for the dog, which was also very thorough. I think all the dishes are above standard. Please try the roast beef, beef stew, and the hot pot you can make yourself. Also, the breakfast bread is very delicious, as well as the thick-cut bacon and fried eggs cooked in front of you. We enjoyed them very much. The staff's gentle service was also very pleasant. We have visited various cottages and properties with dogs before, but this might be the best. I wish I had known earlier. It might be the first time we didn't have to wait at check-in and check-out. On the way back to the cottage with the family after dinner, the night sky was filled with stars, making it a memorable and excellent stay. I would love to visit during the green season. Please keep the price reasonable.

The Best New Year
This was my third visit. It was my first time during the winter season, and as expected, there was a lot of snow since it's in the mountains. My dog, who doesn't usually see snow, was a bit confused by the completely white landscape. We stayed lakeside. The parking lot is next to the Room, so loading and unloading luggage was very easy. The Room was nice and warm upon arrival, which was delightful. Everything we needed was provided, and we had a comfortable stay. There was a private dog run, but it wasn't very useful due to the snow. What a shame... We had to go to the front desk for the Onsen, but it was nice to relax and warm up. We chose to have dinner in the Room. The sukiyaki meat was delicious. We added extra beef, and it was the best. Both check-in and check-out could be done online, making it hassle-free and convenient. Next time, I want to visit during the green season. I would love to leisurely stroll around the vast grounds and gaze at the starry sky.

A great place for those traveling with dogs.
It was a snowy day, but we arrived safely with FF's studless tires. The staff's response was good, and we had a great time. It was our first time at a dog buffet, but our dog finished eating in an instant. We would like to visit again next year.

It was very relaxing and enjoyable. However, the entrance was icy, so it would have been nice if de-icing agents were used. I also saw someone who had fallen. That was the only disappointment.

Heavy Snow
I was looking forward to a walk with my beloved dog, but unfortunately, due to heavy snow, we couldn't enjoy the walk. However, as usual, I was able to enjoy a delicious dinner and breakfast while soaking in the Onsen. I would like to use this service again.
