Tokino no Tei Nabedagawa

I chose this Accommodation because it has a large public bath, offered good value even with one night and two meals included, and is close to Nabana no Sato. Since the following three points were clearly stated at the time of Reservation—during the day you share the facilities with day-use bath guests, payment is cash only, and there is no bathroom in the guest rooms—I stayed with full understanding and had no complaints at all. There are no free drinks such as bottled water in the room, and no bath amenities like skincare products either, but given the low price and cleanliness, this was not an issue for me.I was pleasantly surprised that dinner was served in a private room. I chose the reasonably priced dinner set with about five dishes, and it was very filling: a small chicken shabu-shabu hot pot, grilled yellowtail collar, miso katsu, two small side dishes, rice, and miso soup. Near the front desk they also sold light prepared foods—ohagi (sweet rice balls), sakura mochi (cherry blossom rice cakes), yomogi mochi (mugwort rice cakes), etc.—probably for day-use visitors. I thought I might buy something if dinner wasn’t enough, but I was far too full.On the last day of my three-night trip I had a lot of laundry, so it was very helpful that there was a clean-looking new high-performance coin laundry on-site; I could wash and dry my clothes while using the bath. PayPay could be used there as well.

The staff provided exceptionally polite service. The onsen was very relaxing. While the changing room did not have items like cotton swabs or lotion typically found in other onsen facilities, it felt refreshingly clean and uncluttered. Sauna mats were also replaced regularly.The highlight of our stay was the breakfast (we didn’t try dinner, so we can’t comment on that). There was a wide variety of options, and items were promptly replenished when they ran out. Even my daughter, who usually takes her time with breakfast, found something she liked and ate well, which I greatly appreciated as a parent.If I may suggest an improvement, extending the breakfast hours beyond 7:00–8:30 (it was available until 9:00) would allow for a more leisurely morning experience. Overall, this is a place I would love to visit again and highly recommend for anyone planning to stay in Nagashima.
