A Japanese-style accommodation located in the heart of the onsen town. Relax and rejuvenate in the mineral-rich renowned hot springs.
A Property located in the heart of the Onsen town, offering a hot spring experience with mineral-rich "Shika no Yu" in a large bath overlooking the nearby stream. Enjoy seasonal flavors with a Japanese-Western buffet or traditional Japanese kaiseki cuisine.
There is something I always find disappointing. It is that cleaning in out-of-sight areas—such as behind the TV or around the Facility next to the elevator on B1—does not seem thorough, with dust left behind. I always think it would be much better if those areas were cleaned properly as well.
トとさん 3/12/2026The Room was very clean, and we were able to relax comfortably. The Onsen was also excellent—we enjoyed alternating between baths at different temperatures, and the sauna facilities were great. The breakfast buffet was very delicious. Choosing the dinner buffet was a slight mistake; I think upgrading a bit would have been better, but at this price, the buffet is more than sufficient. I gave it 4 stars because the toilet in the Room didn’t flush very well, but since it’s an older building, it can’t be helped. Overall, it was a very good Accommodation.

Introduction of the Accommodation

1F Entrance
Located in the heart of the Onsen town, the long-established Ryokan "Hotel Shika no Yu" was founded in 1927. Step into the traditional Japanese architecture symbolizing Jozankei Onsen, and you will find yourself in another world. A waterfall flows at the entrance, and the Japanese-style decor exudes the warmth of wood. The harmony of tranquility and elegance reflects the spirit of "omotenashi" that we have cherished.
