An accommodation with only 3 oceanfront rooms offering a panoramic view of Toyama Bay and seasonal delicacies from Himi.
A breathtaking view of Abugashima Island and the majestic Tateyama Mountain Range. A small accommodation limited to three groups per day. Experience a unique and special time here. Immerse yourself in the natural surroundings by the sea for a journey to clear your mind and body. Established in the Meiji era, this accommodation with over 110 years of history will fully reopen in summer 2024 as a newly built, hotel-style small accommodation. Not only can you enjoy the stunning scenery, but also indulge in the flavors of Himi crafted by our chef-owner.
This was my first stay, and the Accommodation exceeded my expectations. Every dish was delicious, and you could really tell how carefully everything was prepared. The view from the Room was wonderful—the sparkling beauty of Toyama Bay, the majestic Tateyama Mountain Range, and the awe-inspiring sunrise truly moved me. The Room was clean and tastefully designed, and I was able to relax and unwind. This is an Accommodation I would definitely like to visit again.
Every dish was delicious, with a gentle and carefully prepared flavor, and sharing a wonderful meal while chatting as a family was the best. It was also lovely that the tableware was made by local artists. The location, where you can hear only the sound of the waves, and the ocean filling the Room window were breathtaking. We could faintly see the Tateyama Mountain Range in the distance, and it was a truly special time to watch the sunrise slowly from our Room. Since shops are far away, we appreciated the thoughtful service of complimentary tea and water in the refrigerator, as well as drinks available for purchase in the lobby. The heartfelt hospitality was very comforting, and we would love to return again!

| [About Accommodation for Children] Our accommodation, consisting of three quiet rooms, accepts guests aged 13 and above throughout the year. |
In 2024, we are embarking on a new chapter by rebuilding our accommodation from the ground up. While preserving the three elements we have always cherished—cuisine, scenery, and hospitality—we are transforming into an even smaller accommodation with just three guest rooms to focus more sincerely on each individual guest. With a desire to share the beauty of Himi not only with Japan but also with visitors from around the world, we have taken a significant step toward the next 100 years by naming our establishment "Hashimotoya." There are no televisions in our guest rooms. It takes 10 minutes by car to reach the nearest convenience store. This is not a convenient location. We are a very small accommodation limited to just three groups per day. You may think there is nothing here, but everything you need is right here: the sound of waves, calls of seabirds, natural breezes, and ever-changing scenery. There is something more meaningful than television waiting for you here. Put your smartphone away in your bag; disconnect from everyone and take some distance from social media. Read that book you've been meaning to finish or take a walk along the shore. Clear your daily fatigue and enjoy this special time unique to this place. I will prepare seasonal dishes with heartfelt care for you to enjoy. When we can help you embark on a journey where you reconnect with yourself amidst unhurried moments—that becomes our greatest happiness as well.
Stunning Views of Abugashima Island and the Tateyama Mountain Range
The majestic Tateyama Mountain Range, a symbol of Himi, rising beyond Abugashima Island. Did you know that "Hashimotoya" is the only accommodation where you can enjoy this breathtaking view? From your room's window, you can gaze directly at Abugashima Island and the ever-changing seasonal beauty of the Tateyama Mountain Range. This accommodation is also beloved by photographers, both professional and amateur alike, as a perfect shooting spot. In winter, the Tateyama Mountain Range stands out clearly in the crisp and cold air—a signature scenery of Himi. Many guests return every year just to witness this stunning view.

Savor the Seasons
Seasonal Delights, Local Flavors. At Hashimoto-ya, we cherish the essence of the land and the seasons in our cuisine. Our fourth-generation chef carefully prepares dishes that blend an abundance of treasures from the sea, mountains, and countryside. Savor each thoughtfully crafted dish with your eyes and palate as you relax in your Room.

All three rooms are oceanfront and come with a private bath and toilet. Each room is a twin Western-style room with two semi-double beds. Enjoy the unique scenery that can only be experienced here.

The entrance lobby leads directly to the terrace outside. You can enjoy a stroll along the seaside in the morning or at sunset before your meal.
