    We stayed here for a family trip combined with our annual visit to the graves in Niigata. The building is old, and there was an unpleasant smell outside the room, possibly due to an out-of-service restroom nearby. However, the room was clean, and the Onsen was very relaxing. The Hotel staff were very kind, and we would like to stay here again on our next visit.

  • I had a very relaxing stay.

    The building and rooms may be a bit old, but they are well-maintained, making for a very comfortable stay. We were delighted that the futons were laid out for us during our meal. Both breakfast and dinner were very delicious. Perhaps because there weren’t too many guests, it was quiet without the hustle and bustle often found in large hotels. During dinner, dishes were served at just the right timing as we finished each course, which was very pleasing. The breakfast buffet could also be enjoyed at a leisurely pace. The baths were thoroughly cleaned, allowing for a pleasant bathing experience. With natural hot spring water flowing directly from the source, both indoor baths offered options of hot and moderate temperatures to enjoy. The open-air bath had an exceptionally charming atmosphere as well. We had a wonderfully relaxing time here!

About 35 minutes via National Route 117 from the Toyoda-Iiyama IC on the Joshinetsu Expressway.

■By Train■
1. Get off at JR Iiyama Station (Hokuriku Shinkansen / Iiyama Line). Take the direct bus for 25 minutes, then walk 5 minutes from the last stop. Fare: 600 yen.
2. Get off at JR Iiyama Station (Hokuriku Shinkansen / Iiyama Line). Take the local bus for 40 minutes and get off at Nozawa Grand Hotel (final stop). Fare: 700 yen.
