  • This was my third visit. The charming architecture, the free-flowing Onsen, and the warm hospitality of the staff were all wonderful. The only slight disappointment was that there were no amenities or drinking water in the bath area. Since there are various Rooms, I would like to stay in a nicer Room someday. I hope you will preserve this beautiful architecture for future generations. Thank you very much for taking such good care of me.

  • I was looking forward to staying in a designated Tangible Cultural Property, and it met my expectations. It was a very charming Ryokan and became a wonderful memory. Both the in-Room Onsen and the shared Onsen had excellent water quality, and I was very satisfied. The meals were also carefully prepared and delicious. However, perhaps because the Room heating is old, it took quite a long time to warm up. Also, whether by design to keep furnishings minimal or not, there were few amenities and towels, and only one trash bin in a spacious Room of over 100 square meters, which felt inconvenient. I felt there might be some concerns about staying here in midsummer or midwinter. That said, what cannot be captured by a score—the history and atmosphere, as well as the staff’s attire and presence—made the overall experience truly special, and I would definitely like to stay again.
