A hot spring accommodation featuring thick, free-flowing natural hot spring water and traditional Japanese carpentry architecture.

Located in the middle of Hanamaki Minami Onsenkyo, Yama no Kami Onsen is named after the "Yamatsumi Shrine" that enshrines the mountain deity in this area. Yukaen, a Yama no Kami Onsen inn crafted by shrine carpenters, features lattice-patterned ceilings and intricate craftsmanship throughout the building, allowing you to fully enjoy a relaxing time surrounded by the warmth of wood.

  • Thank you very much for taking care of my son and his wife the other day. They were traveling to celebrate my daughter-in-law’s birthday, and they were delighted that you upgraded their Room. They said the delicious food, superb hot spring baths, and everything else made it an unforgettable experience. We’re already looking forward to visiting again next time together. Thank you very much.

  • We stayed here for our first family trip in a while. We were surprised by how impressive the building was—much more than we expected. The male staff member who assisted us at check-in was also very courteous and helpful, sharing details about the three baths and recommending the best times for meals, which we really appreciated. The Room was spacious, well built, and very clean, and our children were happy saying, “This place is nice!”Dinner was generous in portion size, and the Iwate beef shabu-shabu in particular was delicious with rich flavor. Breakfast also offered a wide variety of options; everything was excellent, including the local Iwate specialty hittsumi soup, and our whole family was very satisfied. Both the large and small baths were clean, and above all the water quality was wonderful—our skin felt so smooth afterward. It worked out perfectly that we could use them almost privately both morning and night.Since we live far away it will be difficult to visit again soon, but it was such a great Accommodation that next time we would love to bring our elderly parents as well.
