Just a 1-minute walk from the famous Kusatsu Onsen attraction 'Yubatake'. The traditional Japanese-style Ryokan 'Naraya' exudes historical charm. Boasting a variety of Room types suitable for various travels and the 24-hour flowing Onsen 'Shirahata no Yu'.
The Shirahata hot spring water was wonderful, and we really enjoyed the delicious meals. Our Room had a view of Yubatake, and the location was excellent.That said, if I may be a bit picky, I would have appreciated a more user-friendly hair dryer in the Room, and it would be even better to have a coffee machine like those often seen these days (there is, however, a bar counter where you can enjoy good coffee). Also, since the third guest’s bedding was a futon, it felt slightly different in comfort compared with the beds. I also thought it might be more comfortable if there were sleepwear such as samue provided in addition to yukata.That said, these are just personal preferences. The atmosphere unique to this historic Accommodation is very appealing, and being able to fully enjoy both the hot spring source and the location was truly wonderful. This Accommodation is especially recommended for those who love Yubatake.We would definitely like to stay again.
We stayed with my daughter, who is expecting in March, her husband, and my spouse. Although we are locals, it was a delightful stay in Kusatsu after a long time. The accommodation was impeccably clean throughout, with meticulous attention to detail. There were no concerns about the pregnant woman slipping in the bath area, and the water was pristine and wonderful. Both dinner and breakfast were incredibly delicious with beautiful presentation; there were surprises as well, making it luxurious like dining at a fine restaurant. Most of the staff members were Japanese, which is rare compared to places like Shima or Ikaho—this was quite surprising. Although there wasn’t an alcohol vending machine on-site for an after-bath drink, this added to the refined atmosphere of the accommodation. It became a very special memory before welcoming our grandchild. Thank you very much!
