Stayed again following last year.The service quality was excellent, and we had a very comfortable stay.This time we chose a Japanese-style dinner and a Western-style breakfast, and both were delicious.The ingredients were classic, but prepared to Hotel quality and thoroughly enjoyable. We’d better make our Reservation early for next year (laughs).
GIS 3/29/2026The Accommodation is located within Yamanashi Prefecture’s Fuefukigawa Fruit Park. Drawn by its elegant, Provence-inspired architecture in the style of southern France, we stayed here as a family for the first time. For families with children, it’s a great advantage to let the kids play to their heart’s content in the park before checking in.In addition to having all the essentials you’d expect from a Resort Hotel, it has been selected as one of Japan’s “New Three Great Night Views,” and the view from the guest rooms can only be described as spectacular. You can enjoy a truly luxurious time overlooking Fruit Park, the Kofu Basin, and Mt. Fuji.Dining offers a choice of Western or Japanese cuisine; this time we chose Western. The food was extremely delicious and the service from the staff was excellent, earning high praise from our whole family.The on-site Onsen is an alkaline simple hot spring that leaves your skin feeling wonderfully smooth.We stayed on a Friday, but it wasn’t crowded and we were able to relax and fully enjoy our time.If I had to mention one drawback, the free in-room Wi-Fi signal is somewhat weak, so those planning a workcation may want to bring their own Wi-Fi router.Next time, I’d like to stay again and try the Japanese meal option.

Founded in 1878 as Japan's first full-scale Resort Hotel in Miyanoshita, Hakone, Fujiya Hotel has a rich history. In 1997, many of its buildings were designated as Registered Tangible Cultural Properties. After over two years of extensive renovations, the "new" Fujiya Hotel reopened in 2020. Every Room is equipped with a bathroom featuring natural Onsen water from Miyanoshita, allowing guests to enjoy an Onsen bath in the comfort of their own Room.
