Even though this was a last-minute Reservation, you kindly accepted us, which truly helped. Upon arrival, the staff welcomed us with warm smiles, and the check-in guidance was very thorough—such heartfelt hospitality that instantly eased our travel fatigue.The Room was spotless, with thoughtful attention to detail throughout, making it extremely comfortable. All necessary amenities and supplies were well provided, so we enjoyed a consistently pleasant stay.What impressed us most was the dining. Every dish showcased high-quality ingredients with perfectly balanced seasoning. The presentation was beautiful, and we could feel the care put into each item. We looked forward to every meal and were completely satisfied.The entire Accommodation had a calm atmosphere and a quiet setting where we could truly relax—an Accommodation that made us want to “come back again.” Although our stay was short this time, it became a wonderful memory. Next time, we would love to stay longer.
The historic building retains its charm while offering modern conveniences like air purifiers and mini heaters, showing thoughtful attention to detail! The decor and furnishings were stylish and matched my taste perfectly—I absolutely loved them! The crab course was incredibly generous in portion, leaving me fully satisfied! The hostess and staff were very friendly and welcoming, complementing the accommodation beautifully. As a solo traveler, I truly appreciated their warm hospitality. I’d love to stay in a different room next time, so this is definitely an accommodation I want to revisit! Since it’s expected to snow tomorrow, I couldn’t see the snowy Amanohashidate this time, but I look forward to coming back for another chance. This trip has become a wonderful memory for me!

Onsen & Bath
A bathhouse facing a courtyard garden, featuring ancient hinoki cypress and granite. The open-air baths set within the small garden include “Taro-no-Yu,” made with Shigaraki ware, and “Komachi-no-Yu,” crafted with bluestone.
This is a small, relaxing sukiya-style Accommodation in a two-story wooden building, thoughtfully incorporating a front garden, inner courtyard, and rear garden. The Rooms are each uniquely designed with rich variety and distinctive character. While the overall style is sukiya, some Rooms feature a shoin-style design and others have a tea-room-inspired atmosphere.
Our carefully prepared seasonal dining is a luxurious, thoughtfully crafted Kyoto-style kaiseki cuisine. Savor Charo’s heartfelt hospitality, which values the “three breezes,” as we present the local flavors of Miyazu—mountain and sea ingredients at their peak—beautifully arranged on each dish to be enjoyed together with the surrounding scenery.
With the arrival of warmer weather, we are welcoming guests with our spring décor. Mr. Shimaya of Waki Shrine in Miyazu always arranges flowers with exquisite care, perfectly suited to our sukiya-style entrance.

On December 9, 2025, our “Buri Shabu” at Charoku Bekkan was featured on ABC TV’s “news Okaeri,” in the segment “Manami and Misaki’s Kyoto Stroll.”
Under the theme “Kyoto Miyazu: Savor Winter Yellowtail to the Full,” they began with yellowtail sashimi, saying, “Ah—this is happiness.”
About the buri shabu, they commented, “It’s so good you don’t want to open your mouth,” and “(The house-made ponzu) is truly fragrant—the citrus adds a refreshing touch to the yellowtail. It’s incredibly delicious.”
The rich, fatty buri shabu that Ms. Manami Honjo and announcer Misaki Onita enjoyed to their hearts’ content will be available only through February and March.
