We stayed one night in the Hotel and one night in the house, and each had its own unique style. Both were wonderful, and we truly enjoyed our time there. With Mt. Fuji right in front of us and nothing to block the view, the location was absolutely exceptional. After sharpening our senses in the sauna, it felt as if energy from the mountain gently flowed into us and filled us up. The cooking experience was also great—clear, thoughtful instructions were provided, so we enjoyed the process and felt excited throughout. We would love to visit again! As this was my first trip to Mt. Fuji, I honestly spent a long time deciding which Hotel to stay at. In the end, it was an outstanding experience. Until now I’ve tended to travel abroad rather than within Japan, but I was truly impressed by the location, the room design, the meals and how they were served—and above all, the powerful Mt. Fuji view. The day before, I stayed in a suite at a high-rise Hotel in central Tokyo, but this place surpassed that excitement in just one day. We were able to forget everyday life and fully enjoy Mt. Fuji while having drinks together as parent and child. I definitely want to return in a different season.
