Shikisai no Yado Hanatsubaki

I was looking for an Accommodation in places like Obama and Tsuruga to enjoy Wakasa fugu. Many places didn’t have great Review ratings, so I was a bit worried, but I made a Reservation at “Shikisai no Yado Hanatsubaki” because it was highly rated. From the outside, it isn’t a new-looking place, but the inside was very clean, and it was quiet and relaxing—perhaps because it wasn’t too crowded.The Room we were shown to was a Japanese-style room, and I still remember how moved I felt by the view of Wakasa Bay from the window. We could enjoy the same view from the large public bath on the top floor.Dinner was a full fugu course as mentioned above—from appetizers to finishing rice porridge—and everything was delicious. The only disappointment was that although the staff carefully brought each dish, there was no explanation at all about what each dish was or how to eat it. Since many people from Tokyo don’t often eat fugu, we may not know much about it. If they had explained the dish names and how to enjoy them, I think we could have appreciated it even more.That said, we truly enjoyed the fugu and were very satisfied. Breakfast also featured local items such as dried flatfish, which were delicious as well.Overall, I thought it was a wonderful Ryokan. I would definitely like to return. Thank you for such a great memory.

We were grateful for being driven to a convenience store on the way to the Hotel, waiting patiently during our shopping, and then being taken to the Hotel.Dinner was delightful with delicious dishes like pufferfish and crab, making conversations enjoyable. Even though it took longer than expected, we never felt rushed and had a pleasant dining experience. Thank you for celebrating my daughter's engagement anniversary with us. We also enjoyed a relaxing time at the bathhouse and had a delicious breakfast in the morning.
