The Base Sakai-Higashi Apartment Hotel

I stayed for two nights. After reading the Reviews, I was a bit concerned about cleanliness, but the room was very well cleaned and spotless. Although it is right in front of a main road, it wasn’t noisy enough to bother me, and once the windows were closed I couldn’t hear it.The station is also nearby (within a 10-minute walk), and there is a shopping street between the station and the Hotel, so shopping and dining were very convenient.I had a very comfortable stay. Thank you very much.

While many Accommodations these days are completely non-smoking and don’t even have a smoking area, this Hotel offers smoking Rooms and has a clearly located smoking area near the entrance, which I really appreciated.I borrowed the cooking utensil set (available on a first-come, first-served basis) and was also able to borrow an extra pot. The male staff member at the front desk was polite and pleasant. The tatami area in the Room is small but charming—maybe that’s just a Japanese thing. I was able to relax and enjoy my home-cooked meal there. I was finally able to use the bath filling function thanks to the manual file in the Room.With staff present at the front desk, it felt reassuring, and since the Room could be used like home, I had a very comfortable stay.There are plenty of nearby parking lots with maximum daily rates, and if you walk a little you’ll reach a shopping street with many restaurants. There are also many old-style standing bars in the narrow alleys, so I really got to enjoy what makes Sakaihigashi interesting. It’s a Room I’d like to stay in again.
