Tsumikusa no Yado Komatsu

We stayed as a couple and enjoyed the best Onsen and exceptional hospitality. We look forward to visiting again.

Because my previous two stays left a very good impression, this was my third stay with high expectations. The staff kindly stored the refrigerated food I had purchased that day, and the hospitality was as pleasant as ever. However, I felt the meals had declined in quality. I may have been comparing it with another Accommodation in the Kirishima Onsen area where I stayed a few months ago, but it was disappointing.At breakfast, everything except the rice and miso soup was cold, and even the “steamed vegetables,” one of this Accommodation’s highlights, were not piping hot despite being served later. In particular, the small grilled salmon was cold and tough. Since breakfast time is fixed, I at least wanted it freshly grilled. From my previous stays (both times), I remember being served freshly grilled river fish (yamame trout or ayu sweetfish). It may depend on the season, but because I had expected that again (perhaps on my own), it made this stay especially disappointing.Also, women can choose their yukata now, but wouldn’t Room wear like samue-style loungewear be better than yukata, as offered at other places?
