Used for our wedding anniversary.
Although I had shared some requests in advance, they were not mentioned at all. I was a little disappointed, as other Accommodations often respond with something like “We can accommodate your request.” <Main positives>: The staff member who guided us to the parking area and to our Room upon arrival was pleasant. The Room was spacious, quiet, and the view was decent. The bath in the Room was temperature-controlled, so we could use it right away. Draft beer in the lounge could be taken back to the Room, and we enjoyed it on the terrace. The Room had samue loungewear and a bathrobe, and yukata were also provided. My wife especially enjoyed the simmered golden eye snapper. <A few disappointments>: There was no safety box in the large public bath, so I felt uneasy about managing the Room key. Our private dining room had no windows and felt closed-in; it might be better to rotate rooms between dinner and breakfast or use different locations. At dinner, three kinds of sashimi were served, but each person received only one slice of each—insufficient for those looking forward to sashimi. Also, there was no explanation from staff about what types of fish they were. The pork soy-milk hot pot lacked a soy-milk flavor; later on it became simply boiled pork with almost no taste. The rice was quite firm; in particular, the egg-over-rice at breakfast was very difficult to eat. The miso soup with spiny lobster at breakfast had no spiny lobster aroma at all. This may be specific to our Room type, but I would have liked better privacy screening. Lowering the blinds turns what should be a semi-open-air bath into an ordinary indoor bath. This wasn’t an issue since we knew beforehand, but it feels more like a view bath than a semi-open-air bath. A 10:30 checkout time feels awkward. I ended up being somewhat critical because I couldn’t help comparing it with other Accommodations, but thank you for taking care of us.

It was very disappointing.
When we stepped out onto the deck to enjoy the ocean view, something unbelievable happened: we could smell cigarette smoke. After checking, we found that someone was smoking on a lower floor, and the smoke was rising up to our deck. The brochure in the Room did state that smoking on the deck is permitted, but I never expected to be troubled by cigarette smoke at a Ryokan these days. Under Japan’s Health Promotion Act, businesses and public institutions are generally non-smoking on their premises. Also, as soon as we entered the lounge, it smelled strongly of cigarettes and we couldn’t use it. We made a Reservation at Sansui because we were captivated by the view from the annex deck. However, during our stay we couldn’t go out onto the deck at all, and even when we opened the bathroom window, cigarette smoke came in—it was awful. It was deeply disappointing and felt like a betrayal. Sansui’s smoking measures as a Ryokan are extremely inadequate. You should clearly state your smoking policy on your website. If this had been stated in advance, we would not have chosen Sansui. We were satisfied with the meals. We had been looking forward to an extraordinary getaway, but we couldn’t enjoy our time and are disappointed. Please understand that some guests cannot tolerate cigarette odor or smoke.

I booked this stay through IKYU with confidence, and it did not disappoint. The Room with an open-air bath was wonderful. The Room was so clean that I could tell the housekeeping was very thorough. The meals were also delicious. The staff were attentive without being overbearing, so I could relax and was very satisfied.

It was disappointing.
It felt like an upgraded Business Hotel rather than a true Ryokan. The price range did not match the actual Facility, meals, or the quality of service we received. It was the most disappointing Accommodation among the Ryokan I have stayed at so far.

Thank you for your help. Before my stay, I was concerned because a Review from November 2024 said the Wi-Fi could not connect to a PC. However, I used my PC for work and had no issues completing my tasks. The Wi-Fi environment has been improved. All staff were kind and helpful.

The meals were excellent.
The size and amenities of the Room were excellent. The private bath in the Room was great as it was available anytime. I just wish the public bath had been a bit larger... Both dinner and breakfast were absolutely satisfying.

The Room was clean a...
The Room was clean and well-maintained. It would be nice to have a hairbrush included in the amenities for men. The public bath was also clean and very pleasant. Since there are only two sinks, having chairs for waiting might make it more comfortable. Regarding the meals, they were very considerate when informed about ingredients to avoid. Thank you so much for that! Everything was delicious, and I enjoyed discovering local ingredients like eggs and rice brands I hadn't known before. I even bought some at the roadside station on my way home (laughs). Although the hallways and elevators are a bit narrow, the Room and lounge were spacious enough to relax comfortably, quiet, and perfect for unwinding.

Being in Katsuura, rich in seafood, I had high expectations but was slightly disappointed with the traditional dinner. The room on the top floor with an ocean view was nice, but on the opposite side of the Room, there was a clear view of what seemed like employee dormitory beds, which ruined the atmosphere.

I went to enjoy the seafood of Boso.
It was a nice and spacious room in an annex, not the main building. We arrived in the evening and enjoyed a breathtaking sunset from the room. The accommodation is conveniently located across from Tanjoji Temple, making it ideal for exploring the temple. Since my wife does not eat beef, we chose an accommodation that serves seafood. We enjoyed plenty of fresh seafood caught near Kominato.

I had a relaxing and enjoyable time.
It was an accommodation that makes you want to visit again. We stayed in the "Annex" Twin Room with a Semi-Open-Air Bath & Terrace for sightseeing purposes near the prefecture. Upon entering the room, we were greeted by a stunning ocean view. The sofa in the room had a spacious seat, and on the terrace side separated by glass doors, there were comfortable chairs where we could relax pleasantly. The semi-open-air bath featured two glass windows connecting to the outside—one facing the ocean and the other towards the terrace. The blinds could be adjusted from top to bottom for privacy or openness as desired. Although it was a two-person room with plenty of bath towels provided, we felt that one foot mat wasn’t enough since we used the bath multiple times. The room came equipped with yukata, samue (traditional Japanese loungewear), hanten (a short winter coat), sauna wear, and even thick bathrobes. At the lounge in the main building, guests could enjoy coffee or craft beer as a welcome drink—not only at that spot but also brought back to their rooms—which allowed us to relax fully. Both dinner and breakfast were served in private rooms within the main building. The meals featured beautiful presentation and slightly mild seasoning that highlighted each ingredient's quality—from sashimi to meat dishes—all of which were truly delicious. Among all accommodations we've visited so far, this one became our favorite. In the morning, we enjoyed strolling around Tanjōji Temple across from our accommodation before heading back inside for more relaxation time than expected! As a result, we ran out of time just before check-out and couldn’t fill out their in-room survey—but we're glad to share our review here instead!

A satisfying accommodation with great meals and a relaxing onsen.
Warm and attentive service made me want to visit again. I enjoyed a relaxing time in the lounge space, sipping beer while watching the beautiful sunset. The meals, made with fresh local ingredients, were all incredibly delicious. The Onsen had clean facilities and provided a very soothing experience. The room was very clean and comfortable, allowing me to relax fully. I wished I could have stayed for another night.

It was an amazing Hotel. When I couldn't find the parking lot and was troubled, a staff member came to meet me and guided me to the correct parking lot, which was truly impressive. All the food was delicious, and I was genuinely moved. Highly recommended!

The sunset view from the observation pool was stunning.
A first drink is advertised as complimentary during dinner, but I ordered a cold green tea that I didn't particularly want, only to find out later that it was actually charged. It left me feeling slightly disappointed.

The reason for the good reviews is clear.
The meals were delicious, and the room offered an amazing view of the beautiful scenery. Upon arrival, the staff guided us to the parking lot and helped carry our luggage. Although our room was on the first floor, it was elevated enough to feel like a second floor, offering a fantastic view! The semi-open-air private bath in the room was very relaxing. The rooftop sauna and infinity pool were also excellent. Overall, it was a calm and peaceful stay with attentive staff, private dining with incredibly delicious meals—simply perfect. This is an accommodation I would love to visit again!

Thank you for your hospitality. We stayed at the accommodation to celebrate my wife's birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed both the outdoor and indoor baths. The meals were delicious, though we regretfully left some due to the large portions. Next time, we look forward to enjoying the sightseeing cruise and other attractions, and we will visit again.

What we loved the most was the view of the small harbor right outside the room's window. Its nostalgic atmosphere was truly soothing, making our stay wonderful. Additionally, we appreciated how well-maintained the indoor temperature and humidity were for comfort. - Service and Amenities The skincare products provided as room amenities were of excellent quality and highly praised by everyone in our group. The welcome drinks at check-in were also impressive, offering not only various soft drinks but even beer, which pleasantly surprised us. - Special Thoughtfulness One of our companions had a birthday during our stay, and we were touched by how thoughtfully the staff called us beforehand to discuss details about cakes and celebratory items with care and precision. It was the best solo trip.
I stayed here during my second trimester as a last solo trip before giving birth. I was looking for a place in Chiba Prefecture where I could relax alone, with a private open-air bath, delicious food, and a spa. Although I have visited Kamogawa many times since childhood, this was the best accommodation I have ever stayed at. The hotel had a pleasant and relaxing scent inside, and I loved the calm and quiet atmosphere. The staff's hospitality was exceptional. Spending time at the spa surrounded by the sounds of nature away from the hustle and bustle of the city was truly wonderful. The limited-time service with spa wear was also delightful. Meals were served in private rooms where I could relax without worrying about others' eyes, and they were incredibly delicious. Thank you for your thoughtful consideration regarding meals and caffeine even before my stay. When my child grows up a little, I'd love to visit again with my family next time. It was exactly what I hoped for—a luxurious and relaxing time that allowed me to refresh myself fully. Thank you very much!

Excellent.
I stayed with my parents and girlfriend this time. My mother has difficulty walking, but the staff were very considerate, making it an enjoyable trip. One downside was that the keyhole in the guest room seemed stuck or difficult to turn, which caused a bit of trouble. Other than that, the food was delicious, and the view from the bath was fantastic. I would love to visit again if I have the chance!

Family Trip
It was a very nice ryokan. Since my daughter is only one year old, we chose a room with a private bath. The bath was spacious enough for the three of us to enjoy together, and we had a wonderful family trip. Meals were served in a private dining room, allowing us to relax and enjoy our time as a family. The food was very delicious. It was a satisfying ryokan experience. We would love to stay again. Thank you to everyone at Gyosai Nagomi no Yado Sansui!

I enjoyed a quiet and relaxing stay.
The Room's bath is an Onsen, and being able to enjoy it multiple times was amazing. The rooftop infinity heated pool is small but has plenty of chairs, making it perfect for stargazing. The meals, made with local ingredients, were very delicious, and the breakfast was also highly satisfying.

The Onsen in the room is highly recommended.
The property has a unique design that feels compact but is actually spacious. The interior was clean, and the meals were luxurious and delicious. The pool opened at 3:00 PM, and I entered right around that time (likely the first guest of the day). However, I was a bit surprised to find a fake nail in the pool (which I picked up and disposed of). Despite this, the pool had a private feel, and there was also a sauna which made it very enjoyable. I found the bath in my Room more comfortable in terms of temperature and usability compared to the public bath, so I used it multiple times.

Reward Trip
I stayed alone this time. Despite not having made a prior reservation, I contacted the accommodation after arriving at Awa-Kominato Station, and they promptly arranged a shuttle service for me. I was deeply impressed by their courteous and swift response! The hospitality within the accommodation was also exceptional! The welcome drink beer was delicious, even for someone like me who usually doesn't enjoy the bitterness of beer. The room in the annex felt slightly older than expected but was quiet and relaxing—a very pleasant room overall. The meals were incredibly luxurious, and I ended up so full that I couldn't finish the sake I ordered! Having a private dining space made it even more comfortable and enjoyable. However, the shampoo provided in the room didn't suit me well and felt slightly sticky. It would be great if there were an option to choose individually packaged shampoos or similar products! Overall, it was an accommodation I'd love to visit again without question! Thank you very much for your wonderful hospitality.

An Accommodation Where You Can Relax with Fish and Want to Visit Again
We stayed with our children and had such a wonderful experience that we would love to come back again! Dinner was a full seafood course, served in abundance. The sashimi of spiny lobster and abalone was fresh and delicious. The name of the accommodation truly reflects its specialty in seafood. We chose a room with an attached private bath, which allowed even our little one still in diapers to enjoy comfortably. In the lounge, there was unlimited beer as a welcome drink—I ended up having three glasses right after arriving! One minor point was that during breakfast, I noticed some dried rice from dinner underfoot; it would have been nice if it had been cleaned up. However, this is just a small detail—breakfast was also luxurious overall, and we were extremely satisfied!

We visited upon my husband's request to spend a relaxing time at a Hotel with an ocean view! The staff's hospitality was excellent, making our stay very comfortable. The meals were incredibly fresh and delicious, both at night and in the morning, and the view from the Room was absolutely stunning! Since it was a weekday, we had the spa space to ourselves at night, and being able to use the sauna from 6 a.m. was fantastic. We would love to visit again!

Wonderful Accommodation
A wonderful accommodation with heartfelt hospitality. The course meals, including sashimi and other dishes, were delicious and generously portioned. The room beautifully combines the charm of a retro Japanese-style room with modern facilities, making it truly delightful. The coffee in the lounge was also excellent. The pool includes an onsen pool with a herbal-scented löyly. The indoor onsen is small but features high-quality water, with two baths to enjoy. I had back pain, but after soaking in the bath, I felt much better the next day. It was a truly wonderful experience.

I stayed for one nig...
I stayed for one night and two days, but it was such a wonderful place that I regretted not staying longer! The bath with an ocean view, the relaxing time on the balcony listening to the sound of waves and insects, and the luxurious breakfast were all amazing. It was my first time staying at a Ryokan alone, but the staff were so kind that I felt very comfortable. Next time, I definitely want to stay again for two nights and three days with both breakfast and dinner included!
