Bansyoukaku Shikishima

Thank you for taking such great care of us the other day. Every year when we visit Saikai City to pay respects at my parents’ grave, we have stayed with you many times, and this time—our first stay in three years—I was reminded that this is truly an outstanding Ryokan. This is from a previous stay, but perhaps someone noticed that I am left-handed: at mealtimes, you arranged the chopsticks and meal service for a left-handed guest, which I found wonderful. I have stayed at many Ryokan across the whole country, but it was the first time I had experienced such thoughtful attention, and I immediately became a fan. As always, all of your staff were courteous, incredibly kind, and made us feel warmly welcomed. Not only the building but also the guest rooms were very clean; the Facility offerings were excellent; and the Onsen was superb. Above all, the meals are exceptional. Every time we visit, the food is so delicious it makes us exclaim out loud—we are always completely satisfied. By chance this time, my daughter and her husband asked if I could recommend a good Ryokan for their trip around Kyushu. Without hesitation I told them Banshokaku is outstanding and that they should definitely go—and they were able to make a Reservation and will be staying there soon. I’m looking forward to hearing what they think. When we go to Saikai City to visit our family grave, Banshokaku is our one-and-only choice without question. We would love to stay with you again. It was a wonderful holiday—thank you very much.

As the Room had just been renovated, it was very clean and we had a comfortable stay.The bath was not free-flowing, so we needed to adjust the temperature ourselves. At first, it felt a little inconvenient not being able to get in right away, but there was plenty of hot water from the tap, and above all the water quality was excellent—we were very satisfied. It was also great that it was easy to adjust the temperature for our child.The food was truly delicious, and the timing of each course being served was perfect. The staff member who looked after us had a gentle manner and provided very attentive service, which made our child very happy as well. We were especially pleased that our child could have the same dishes as the adults and ended up eating more than usual. It suited our family perfectly that it wasn’t a typical kids’ plate.There were many younger employees too; while some seemed a bit inexperienced, their sincerity really came through and left us with a great impression. It felt like warm hospitality throughout the entire Ryokan.My husband is currently on a solo work assignment in Kyushu, and I join him from Kansai during long holidays; we’ve stayed at various Onsen Ryokan over time, and among them this Accommodation ranks around first or second.We would definitely like to return again.
