Bringing our two preschool grandchildren with us, choosing the detached Accommodation was the right decision. It was even the same Room my husband and I had stayed in before!It seemed to be their first time experiencing an open-air bath attached to the Room, and they were thrilled. Since it’s a standalone house, we could relax and enjoy ourselves without worrying about disturbing others even if they got a little noisy.Meals were served in a private dining room, and not only was the food excellent, but above all the service was outstanding.All of the staff were from overseas, but they welcomed us with wonderful smiles, making our meal truly pleasant.

Stayed in the detached guesthouse with an open-air bath, “Hana Besso.”The drive from Kokonoe IC is quite challenging; in snowy conditions, it may be difficult even with studless tires.If you’re not confident driving, I recommend taking the route via the Yume Suspension Bridge side.The detached building we stayed in is old, but the interior was very clean and well maintained.We couldn’t use the heater due to an odor—possibly from incomplete combustion or a problem with the exhaust system.It wasn’t an issue since the temperature was mild enough to manage with the air conditioner.The private open-air bath attached to the Room was more than spacious enough for two people.As it is free-flowing hot spring water, the temperature seems to vary by season, but on that day it was neither too hot nor too lukewarm, and we enjoyed it many times.There was also a private reservable bath, but we were so satisfied with the in-room open-air bath that we didn’t end up using it.If you’re staying in a detached unit, you’ll need to walk a few minutes to reach the dining area.In bad weather, it’s probably best to request Shuttle Service.We had no particular complaints about either dinner or breakfast. The portions might be a bit large for some women.Many of the staff are from overseas, but they communicated well and their hard work left a good impression.Overall, this is an Accommodation I can recommend; however, if you dislike insects, it’s wise to avoid staying during summer.
