Mito Keisei Hotel

I stayed alone, but since it was a double room, it was spacious and I could relax comfortably. The view was great, and I could see the sunrise, which allowed me to head out for work feeling refreshed. I would like to use this accommodation again when visiting Mito.

The location is excellent. It is a 3-minute walk from Mito Station, and I stayed at the accommodation after attending a concert at the Mito Civic Center (after leaving my luggage at the hotel). In the evening, I planned to stroll around the restored Otemon Gate of Mito Castle and Ninomaru Corner Turret area, but due to unfortunate rain, I only made it to Otemon Gate before heading back. The next morning, I had to leave early and felt disappointed about not exploring more. However, from my room, I could see the beautifully lit-up long earthen walls! It felt like time-traveling as I imagined what it was like when there was a castle while looking at a map. This inspired me to promise myself another visit. The room was clean with modern water facilities. Although it was chilly for May and I wanted to adjust the air conditioning temperature for heating, it couldn't be switched (I didn't contact reception as it wasn't too inconvenient), so I turned it off instead.
