Kuroshio Inn Rinkaiso

We stayed in a seaside Deluxe 15-tatami Room with dinner included.We chose this Accommodation because we wanted to walk to Katsuura’s morning market and enjoy the Onsen, and it turned out to be the perfect choice.The Onsen is not free-flowing, but the water is pleasantly silky and leaves your skin smooth.It was also great that we could make a Reservation for a private Onsen once for free during our stay.And above all, the alfonsino (kinmedai) at dinner was huge—I honestly doubted it was really one whole fish per person.Unlike a luxury Accommodation, they give you space in a good way, so we could relax and enjoy our stay.We stayed over the weekend, and it was about 36,000 yen for two people, so I think it’s excellent value for money.We’d love to stay again.

Despite rising prices, this was a truly wonderful Ryokan with great value for money. At first glance the exterior looks old, but the Room and other areas were thoroughly cleaned and very tidy. The meals were higher quality than the price suggests, and the simmered golden eye snapper was delicious.Just one issue: the large public bath had a very strong chlorine smell, and the water had turned a pale green color. During dinner we were told that due to a pump failure, the men’s bath would be unavailable for a while, but I wish we had been informed a bit earlier. After bathing, my skin felt sore. From the next morning onward, however, it was exactly as shown on the website—a wonderful dark brown bath—so I think this was just an unfortunate one-off. That is my only negative point.Everything else was truly excellent, so I will definitely return. Thank you very much for your hospitality!
