We stayed to celebrate my mother’s retirement and birthday. The views were wonderful, the food was delicious, the interior design was tasteful, and the service—smiles and thoughtful check-ins—was outstanding. I’m still savoring the experience. Even the pre-stay confirmation call impressed me; their warm response made me feel it would be a special place. The Ryokan staff celebrated with us as well, which truly warmed our hearts. We’d love to visit again! Thank you so much.

I visited Genjikoh in Minamichita for the first time to relax in the Onsen. From the warm welcome, we enjoyed chatting about a small connection we had in common, and both the delicious meals and kind service left me completely satisfied. The Onsen was wonderful not only for its water quality, but also for the beautiful view from the open-air bath, allowing me to truly unwind. Thank you very much. There was just one disappointing point. After dinner the previous evening, I was told that checkout might be crowded the next day and that it would be convenient to settle all payments that night, so I did. However, at checkout I was asked to pay again, and I had to present my Receipt myself. That left me feeling disappointed at the very end. Aside from that matter, my stay was truly comfortable. Thank you very much.

I chose this Hotel because I can't eat large portions anymore due to my age, so I prioritized quality over quantity. It was the perfect choice. The baths were varied, and I could enjoy them at a leisurely pace. While there aren't many tourist spots nearby, it seems ideal for families during the beach season. Overall, highly recommended!

It was a very nice Ryokan. The meals were delicious, both dinner and breakfast. The Room was also wonderful—a spacious 24-tatami Room with an ocean view. The non-alcoholic plum aperitif was so good that I bought some at the shop. The private open-air bath was spacious, and I was very satisfied! This is an Accommodation I would like to stay at again if I have the chance.

I chose this ryokan in Chita because I wanted to enjoy fugu, and their fugu dishes were introduced on the site. My room was upgraded, and during this season, I could see both the sunrise and sunset from the room, making it a truly wonderful experience (I uploaded photos of the sunrise and sunset). Yesterday, there were reportedly over 100 guests staying here, but today it was just us. We had the luxury of enjoying the onsen all to ourselves. I imagine yesterday must have been extremely busy for the staff like a "battle," so we felt grateful yet slightly apologetic for being able to enjoy such a calm atmosphere today. The hostess was very friendly and chatted with us during mealtime, allowing us to relax and have an enjoyable time. The onsen features a unique "stone bath" design where water flows beneath stones, creating a serene bathing experience. The indoor bath is slightly hotter while the open-air bath has just the right temperature—perfect for those who prefer either hot or milder baths. Personally, I loved the temperature of the open-air bath; it was perfect for me! The natural fugu we came here for was absolutely delicious as well. Overall, this accommodation offers a relaxing stay with plenty of time to unwind at your own pace!

I’ve been coming every summer for the past couple of years, and this time I made a Reservation because I wanted to visit in winter too. I love that they offer the same menu as in summer, including vegetables and fresh raw vegetables. The sea is cold, but being able to have a campfire makes it amazing. I’ll definitely keep coming back. I gave 4 stars only because there were a few spots with some dust, which was a slight minus.

This accommodation offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere where you can enjoy a nostalgic "Showa-style" gathering, thanks to the thoughtful arrangements of the hostess. Relax in the soothing Onsen, savor delicious meals, and experience heartfelt hospitality from the attentive staff. The scent of incense fills the facility, creating a serene ambiance. However, one point to note is that smoking areas seem slightly behind modern standards of separation. It would be wonderful if non-smokers could also enjoy their stay more comfortably in this lovely accommodation.

I was initially concerned that the container house might be cold in the middle of winter, but it was absolutely no problem. The shower had strong water pressure, making my stay very comfortable. The air conditioner and humidifying air purifier were of high quality, showing consideration for both comfort and the environment.

The Room had been renovated and was very clean. It was also spacious, so we could relax. There was an in-room bath with an ocean view, but since we used the large public bath, it felt a bit like a waste. The Onsen water was silky and made our skin feel smoother; it was very pleasant. The meals were the standard kaiseki course, but the portions were more than enough and everything was delicious. The staff member who served us was cheerful and very friendly. Thank you for taking care of us.

The dinner and breakfast were very delicious, with just the right portions, and we were extremely satisfied. The bath was also very relaxing. The Room felt a bit old, and there was dust on the air conditioner vent. At checkout, it was disappointing that I forgot to pick up the Hotel brochure (I collect them).

The whole sea bream sashimi platter was delicious. The fried oysters were larger than last time, very satisfying, and tasty. It was a shame there was no splendid alfonsino. We’ll be back again.

They accommodated our requests from the Reservation stage. On the day, it snowed and using the private open-air bath seemed difficult, but the staff never gave up until the end. Miraculously, the weather cleared and we were able to bathe, and I was truly moved by the beautiful scenery. The food was also delicious—I honestly wished I could have eaten more (haha). The staff were very warm and kind as well. Our Room was on the 5th floor, and from the bed we could see both the sea and sky—it was stunning and so relaxing. The large public bath was a little cold, but I really appreciated that the hair dryer was a ReFa, and it was also great to have a speaker in the Room so we could listen to music! I would definitely like to stay again.

We stayed at Sorabase for a family trip on 8/25 and 8/26. It was our first glamping experience, and everything exceeded our expectations. We felt that every detail, including the amenities, was thoughtfully considered. The ocean is right in front of you, and the onsen is just a short walk away. We had a wonderful time with our family. Our children are already asking to stay again, so we look forward to making another reservation next time!

A beautiful accommodation with a white-themed building that contrasts perfectly with the blue of the sky and sea, creating a wonderful atmosphere! The living room has windows that can be fully opened, offering a very spacious and extraordinary experience. The room was also very clean, giving the impression that every corner was thoroughly cleaned. All ingredients were prepared in the refrigerator, and it operates on a self-cooking system. This is highly recommended for those who prefer minimal interaction with staff. A spacious kitchen along with plenty of cooking utensils and cutlery are provided. From the second floor, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the sea; watching the sunset while listening to the sound of waves made for peaceful moments. The nighttime lighting was also stunning! I would definitely love to stay here again!

We stayed here for the first time over the three-day weekend in March. It was a wonderful Ryokan well worth the price. With only seven Rooms, it was completely quiet. The baths are not very large, but there is an open-air bath and it is more than sufficient for the number of guests. Our Room also had an indoor bath and an open-air bath, which made it feel special. The amenities are well stocked. The food was high quality, and the portions were plenty for a couple in our 60s. The service was neither excessive nor lacking—thoughtful and genuinely comfortable throughout. The Room and wash area felt a bit dark due to low lighting, but it did not detract from our overall rating. It was a highly satisfying Ryokan that we would love to visit again.

We enjoyed the delicious meals again this time. Our child was also very happy.

Our family of four stayed in a Room with a private open-air bath. The bath is not an Onsen, but being able to soak and relax at any time made choosing this Room the right decision! The changing area has air conditioning, so it was nice not having to change in the cold. The Room was spacious and came with a ReFa hair dryer, and guests staying on the top floor can also borrow a ReFa hair iron at the front desk—such a wonderful service! We also used the large public bath, which is an Onsen, and it kept us warm for a long time—it felt great! Dinner was delicious across the board, and there was plenty of food—we were completely full and very satisfied. The spiny lobster sashimi platter was especially impressive! Breakfast was great too—the dried fish was so tasty that we couldn’t stop eating rice. The staff were friendly and approachable, and everyone’s kindness made us very happy. If you drink alcohol: you can order drinks at dinner, but for drinking in your Room you’ll need to buy from the shop, which has limited selection—so I recommend bringing your own from a convenience store. There’s only tea that you make yourself in the Room, so it would have been even better if bottled water had been provided. It’s a Ryokan we’d love to visit again as a family. Thank you very much.

Our family of three stayed here. When we told them we would be checking out at 5:30 a.m., they prepared rice balls and tea for us. A handwritten message was included as well, which made us feel truly welcomed. The hostess had a friendly, approachable manner, and dinner was excellent—fried shrimp, flounder sashimi, and a slightly sweet simmered dish; everything was delicious. Thank you for kindly letting our son have seconds so many times. The harbor view from the Room was also amazing. Next time, we’d like to visit with more time to spare. A highly recommended Accommodation.

Wanting a break from the ordinary, I found this place by searching titles and stayed for one night last year. I couldn’t forget it, so this time I stayed with my whole family. We were moved by the red sunset from our Room, and my family watching from the bath was also impressed. We truly enjoyed the slow passage of time. Last time we had breakfast only, but this time we also had dinner. We were surprised by how much food there was—more than we could finish—but everything was delicious. Thank you very much. I’m not sure when it will be next time, but when our family can get together again, we’d like to stay at this Accommodation.

This was our second visit to this glamping site. Being able to enjoy glamping with no preparation and light luggage is a huge plus for those without camping experience, and the Facility felt clean overall, making it a place where both children and adults can stay with peace of mind. Each dome Room has its own concept; the color schemes were beautiful and the amenities were well equipped. Mini fridge, electric kettle, instant coffee/tea/green tea, air conditioning/heating, plug-in insect repellent, Bluetooth speaker, outlets with USB ports, blankets, hanging rack, an external toilet & shower Room (strong water pressure in the shower with adjustable temperature; toilet with bidet), BBQ space, and more. We chose the Plan that includes dinner and breakfast. Everything was extremely delicious—and there was plenty of food. At night (depending on the weather) there may be a campfire as well, which really added to the camping vibe. For future improvements, I’d love to see more activity options such as bamboo-copter or cup-making using bamboo; an athletic play area; seasonal events like fireworks or water-gun games; snowball fights or roasted sweet potatoes; or hands-on experiences like working in nearby rice fields or vegetable gardens. There is also a simple lookout platform in the bamboo grove (I don’t think it was there last year). If the weather and timing are right, you can apparently see the ocean, townscape, and sunset from there. Outdoor voices tend to carry slightly into the domes, so I felt we all need to be mindful at night. The free-drink area was relatively close by and convenient. The ocean is nearby as well—an ideal place if you simply want to relax. They also lend out badminton sets plus board games and card games for free. We’d love to come again.
