I honestly wondered if this price could really be right, but since it was through IKYU, I decided to go ahead and make a Reservation as part of the experience. We stayed here on the way back from an Odawara trip, and the next day we went on a shopping tour from Yokohama to Futako-Tamagawa. There were many foreign guests at the Hotel front desk, but the Room was comfortable. It was my birthday, so we toasted at a nearby no-frills yakitori place that opens early. As a couple, we were very satisfied with this Hotel. Thank you very much. We’d love to stay again.

I had a relaxing and comfortable stay. I will use this place again when visiting Yokohama.

I booked a room on the same day. The front desk suggested changing to a ladies' room, which I wanted, so it was helpful. The room was calm with brown tones, and the size was sufficient. The pillow was a bit hard, so it would have been nice to have a softer option.

It was very convenient as it was just a short walk from Kannai Station. There is also a park nearby where you can take a morning stroll.

My daughter and I stayed for two nights. It rained throughout our stay, but the Hotel entrance was right outside the station exit, so we could come and go without getting wet. Although it is an older Hotel, it was very clean and we had a comfortable stay. Thank you very much.

I felt this was a very considerate Hotel. Of course, it was also very clean. In the Room, there were two types of slippers to choose from: disposable slippers (in a bag labeled “You may take these home”) and regular slippers. Amenities were available at the first-floor entrance, including toothbrushes, mouthwash, toner, emulsion, and various instant drinks. This time, perhaps due to some campaign, I was able to stay at a great price. If I have the opportunity, I would definitely like to use it again.

On the third night, I forgot to leave the cleaning card, so the room wasn’t cleaned, but I had no issues and enjoyed my stay. Thank you.

Near the reception, there was an astonishing variety of shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and more available, and it was refreshingly new to be able to choose what I liked. If each private room had its own disinfecting alcohol, it would have been a perfect Business Hotel for me. As mentioned in the title, the cat that sometimes peeks out at this Hotel’s entrance is absolutely adorable—cat lovers might find it a real treat… Please post a photo of that cat.

The front desk provides excellent explanations, the room is very clean, and all necessary amenities are available. For cleaning during a Multiple Night Stay, simply place the order sign on your door. There are comments about a smell, which might be from the deodorizer with a forest or botanical scent. However, every room is equipped with a large air purifier with a humidifying function, so you can use it if needed. The location is quiet as it’s away from the main street of Yokohama Chinatown, and there are many delicious restaurants nearby. A Sugi Pharmacy and convenience store are also close by, making it very convenient. I think I’ll stay here again next time I visit Yokohama.

Close to Yokohama Station, I stayed here for business and had a comfortable stay.

This was a wonderfully quiet Accommodation, set in the calm atmosphere of Kita-Kamakura. It didn’t feel like a typical “Accommodation” at all—more like being welcomed into someone’s cherished home. From the moment you step inside, the temperature, the way the light comes in, and even the absence of small noises all reflect a thoughtful care that never feels forced. You can also tell that the staff genuinely love this place. It’s such a lovely Accommodation that visiting only once per season probably wouldn’t be enough!

This is a wonderful Hotel. We stayed as a family of four, and everything was excellent—the location, the Facilities, and all the amenities provided. It’s a Hotel that pays attention to every detail. The bathroom and toilet were also very clean, and we had a comfortable stay throughout. Our whole family agreed it was the best Accommodation we have ever stayed in. We only stayed for one night this time, but it’s a Hotel that makes you want to stay for many nights.

We stayed here for a family trip to Kamakura. The entrance was small and made us a bit anxious at first, but the interior was normal, and the Room was clean and comfortable. We received bath tablets as amenities, which made our bath time enjoyable. The breakfast at the Chinese restaurant was very delicious.

Clean, well-maintained facilities and courteous service. At night, I also received a cup of instant noodles. The room was comfortable and felt closer to a private room than a typical capsule. However, for around the same price, you could probably book a standard private room at a Business Hotel, so satisfaction may depend on what you value most.

It was a cost-effective hostel, similar to a guesthouse overseas. Having a private room, air conditioning, and breakfast included at this price is exceptional. The boiled eggs at breakfast were particularly delicious; I heard they boil them on the day, cool them once, and then keep them warm in hot water. The warm boiled eggs with easily peelable shells were delightful. Such attention to detail is rare. They toasted the bread for us, and we could choose from jam or peanut butter, enjoying a leisurely meal on the terrace. The facilities are old, and there are only stairs up to the reception on the 5th floor, but the cleaning and maintenance were thorough, allowing for a comfortable stay. It's a convenient location with a convenience store near Ishikawacho Station, but I wouldn't recommend walking alone late at night.

[Room & Amenities 5] The Pine Room on the 2nd floor. Spacious—more than enough even for families with children. Clean. Independent air conditioning; you can switch freely between heating and cooling. Separate in-room toilet. There are five power outlets on or near the walls. No USB ports. Tea set and sweets. Safe, pig-shaped vape-style mosquito repellent, humidifier, bring-your-own mini fridge, kettle. The TV is a relatively new model; no USB input, etc. Skincare set is available for a fee. [Hospitality & Service 5] I was very fortunate to have about an hour of exclusive time to hear valuable stories from the famous proprietress (okami). It was the ultimate “experience consumption”—this is what culture truly is. [Onsen & Bath 5] The in-room bath has a washing area, bathtub, and shower—separate style, not a unit bath. The hair dryer has very strong airflow. The large public bath is new and clean. The showers have plenty of hot water volume. It’s not particularly big, but it was a high-quality public bath that exceeded my expectations. [Facility & Equipment 4] Well equipped overall for a Ryokan. Soft drink vending machines are reasonably priced at standard street rates. Access in and out is available 24 hours a day. The garden’s koi are magnificent. [Meals 3] Both dinner and breakfast felt average overall. Nothing in particular stood out, so it didn’t leave much of an impression that would make me want to return specifically for the food. From an outsider’s perspective, I was disappointed not to feel much local character or any Kanagawa-specific specialties as memorable highlights. Also, there were no menu cards listing dish names or ingredients, which made it even harder to remember. Alcohol could be ordered additionally; whether extra food orders were possible was unclear. The atmosphere didn’t really suit a style of slowly enjoying drinks while adding extra dishes over time—though that may simply have been due to the day of the week or my own impression. Overall, it felt like they weren’t fully demonstrating the value implied by calling themselves a “cuisine Ryokan.” Areas for improvement would be creating distinctive features unique to Kanagawa and better conveying Matsushima’s story/identity. Personally, I’d like them to offer plans with breakfast and dinner at around JPY +6,000–8,000 higher price range as well. Lastly—and this may be minor—but although we used one private room for both dinner and breakfast seating arrangements were set at lower-status seats (shimoza), which left me unsure whether this was operational convenience or intentional in some way. Close to the station, we enjoyed Minato Mirai during the day and the Nogecho area at night. With the affordable Accommodation Fee, we could splurge on drinks!

I stayed at the accommodation because I had business at Yokohama Budokan. It was great to have a bathtub, and being able to walk to Chinatown was also a plus. I will definitely stay again next year. Thank you in advance!

Over the past few months, I have stayed at several Business Hotels, but this one had the best price, service, parking, and staff. I would like to stay here every month.
