We usually stay at Hotels these days, but my husband and I wanted to experience something more Kyoto-like, so we chose this Ryokan. As expected of a long-established, top-class Accommodation. The hospitality from the proprietress, the senior proprietress, and the attendants was outstanding, and I’m truly glad we stayed here. The staff’s thoughtful attention to detail made our time very comfortable. It was also cherry blossom season, so everything was wonderful, and we would love to visit again in a different season as well. There were many international guests staying too, and I’m sure they were very satisfied with this uniquely Japanese hospitality. We will be back again. Thank you very much.

The Hotel’s Japanese-modern Room was also very comfortable, with a calm atmosphere. The bathroom and other water areas were clean, and everything was well maintained down to the smallest details. The staff were courteous throughout our stay, and we felt comfortable the entire time. It was a truly wonderful Hotel that made us want to stay again. They also kindly stored our luggage at check-in and check-out, and the location was convenient—everything was excellent.

The lounge available to guests is quite interesting, and there is a surprising variety of food, so you can enjoy your time there. The seating is spacious and comfortable, making it perfect for relaxing. There is also a wide selection of alcoholic drinks, so you could even have dinner with the lounge offerings. The Room bath also had a separate washing area, so I didn’t use the public bath.

Thank you for hosting me for one night. The Hotel is close to the nearest station, and the single Room (probably limited) had a separate bath and toilet, which was an excellent value for me. When I left my luggage before check-in, I really appreciated the service of bringing it to my Room—this was a first among the Business Hotels I’ve used. All the staff were pleasant, and I had a very comfortable stay. The Room was also easy to use and comfortable. Personally, I was happy that the toothbrush with a wavy head was easy to use. I would definitely like to stay here again when visiting Kyoto. Thank you very much.

I’ve stayed here so many times on business trips to Kyoto that I’ve lost count. I think Hotels can be broadly divided into two types: those you want to stay at again, and those where once is enough. Needless to say, this is the former. Access is excellent: take the subway from Kyoto Station, get off at Marutamachi Station, and you can check in without getting wet even if it’s raining! All Rooms are either twin or double, so they’re spacious and comfortable—yet the rates aren’t particularly high, making it outstanding value for money. It’s also common to think, “I just want to pop into a convenience store,” and amazingly, there’s one right next door! The Hotel faces Karasuma-dori Avenue, so taxis are always passing by. If you prefer the bus, there’s a bus stop very close as well. And of course, the subway too! With so many advantages like these, it really is a Hotel that makes you want to stay again. Although I checked in late at night on the Room-assigned Plan, I was given a spacious twin Room. It’s a charming, classic Hotel (in a good way), and despite being modern, the key is the old-style type you insert into the doorknob and turn, and you leave it at the front desk when you go out. The bathroom was also large, with great shower water pressure and good drainage. You can choose amenities from the amenity bar as well, and overall I was very satisfied. If I had to mention anything, the air conditioning isn’t individually controlled, and disposable slippers would have been nice. But these weren’t negative points for me. I really liked the atmosphere—it felt like a small European Hotel.

This was my second stay. It was a Multiple Night Stay, and I really appreciated that complimentary water was included along with the replacement towels. Many places don’t offer that these days. The building was clean and comfortable to stay in. However, the hallway felt a bit too dark.

At this price, the large public bath is included, the breakfast is quite delicious, the facility is excellent, and everything is perfect. Thank you.

Stayed for 2 nights and 3 days over the New Year. This Hotel was my choice again since my stay last summer. I was thrilled to find the same room prepared for me as last time! The location is excellent. Situated between Teramachi Street and Kawaramachi Street, it’s a busy area, but the surroundings of the Hotel are incredibly quiet and peaceful. As with last year, all staff members were kind and attentive from check-in to check-out. Both the Hotel premises and rooms were clean, equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. I would love to stay here again when I visit Kyoto next time. Thank you very much!

I always stay here when visiting Kyoto. The staff are always quick and smooth in their service. This time, they gave me a Room with a view from the window, which made it bright and I was very happy!

I have stayed at various Hotels in Kyoto, but this was my first time here because they had a very reasonably priced Plan. The front desk staff were very polite and pleasant, and I appreciated the complimentary service offering delicious coffee and more. The amenities were well stocked, and I liked the style of taking only what you need—no waste and nothing missing. The Room was also more than sufficient for one person. I would like to stay here again.

I was able to have a wonderful time again. Thank you very much. I stayed at AO in my favorite hotel this time. I thought blue might feel cold, but perhaps due to the color scheme and texture (such as underfoot), it was a stay that even changed the impression of blue while being calm. It's a space that somehow makes you feel like you've "come home." The bath is deep, allowing you to warm up thoroughly and relax in a wonderful space. The amenities are pleasant, and I really like the scent of the bath herbs and soap. If I may be greedy, I would be happy if I could have herbal tea in the room. However, there is a pot, and you can enjoy three-year bancha and coffee. It is mentioned from the beginning that there is no toothbrush, but I thought it would be nice to have body lotion. I generally like Babaghuri's amenities, but the shampoo & rinse just don't suit my hair (I end up using it because it smells good), and that's the only disappointment. Breakfast is one of the pleasures of this property that cannot be missed. It's full of vegetables, looks beautiful, and energizes you from the morning. The soup changes with the season, and it's really gentle and delicious. Having delicious soup in the morning feels luxurious, and I always think so when I come here. It comes in a stove pot, so you can reheat it in the room. The variety of vegetables makes for a really enjoyable meal from the morning. I chose bread, and there were three types, each delicious, and although it seemed like a lot, I wanted to have seconds. I am thinking of staying again next time. I was also very pleased with the various thoughtful gestures this time. Thank you very much!!

Spacious room, thorough cleaning, delicious meals, and the staff maintained a good sense of distance, which I appreciated. I thought it would be nice if the room had a brighter (even with bright lighting) area. However, it was very difficult to get into the bathtub. I am 160 cm tall, which I think is average, but even so, I was afraid my feet might get caught. I only got used to it during my Multiple Night Stay. It might be impossible, but could you somehow make it easier to get in? That was the only disappointment.

The location and price are a 5-star satisfaction. However, it was disappointing to find dust when something fell into the gap between the beds. Nonetheless, considering normal use, it was a 5-star experience without complaints.

We stayed here for my child’s entrance exam because it is close to the station, with convenience stores and restaurants nearby, and the Reviews were good. It was very comfortable. Above all, the staff always greeted us with a smile, which was truly comforting. Thanks to their thoughtful support and the quiet environment, my child was able to take the exam in peace and passed successfully. Security is also solid, so we felt safe throughout our stay.

I have stayed here many times. The warm, heartfelt hospitality always makes me want to return. This is a comfortable extended-stay Hotel with a washer-dryer, refrigerator, microwave, IH cooktop, and mini kitchen, all kept very clean.

The property was a lovely townhouse just as seen in the photos. The building has historical significance but has been moderately renovated, with a beautiful open-plan living room and a rear garden. We didn't feel the presence of neighbors and enjoyed a quiet night, which was very satisfying. Although it was a whole house rental, we could use delivery services like a hotel, so both check-in and check-out were convenient with large luggage being handled at Kyoto Station, allowing for comfortable sightseeing. The response from the property's management company was courteous even at night, which was very reassuring. I think it's a property with hotel-like hospitality without the hassle of a hotel.
