I stayed at your accommodation two and a half years ago. At that time, the Hokuriku Shinkansen had not yet opened in Fukui Prefecture, so the nearest station was Takefu Station on the Hokuriku Main Line (now Happiline Fukui), and it took about 10 minutes by taxi to reach your accommodation. Now, with Echizen-Takefu Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen as the nearest station, it is conveniently located within walking distance for those traveling by Shinkansen. The room I stayed in was on the top floor of your seven-story accommodation. As shown in the images, you can see Route 8, the Hokuriku Shinkansen, and Hokuriku Expressway from there; however, my room faced away from Echizen-Takefu Station and Takefu Interchange. The design of this room reminded me of a hotel near Kanazawa Station (Via Inn Kanazawa), where a bed was placed next to a sofa in a similar layout. After relaxing briefly in my room, I went to the dining area on the first floor. The menu included some local specialties from Fukui (such as Echizen soba and sauce katsudon). I chose sauce katsudon for my meal. Afterward, I returned to my room and enjoyed a pleasant time there. The next morning when I looked out of my window, I saw beautiful morning scenery (as shown in two images). After checking out of your accommodation, I walked to Echizen-Takefu Station and boarded the Shinkansen for further sightseeing. I was truly impressed with staying at your hotel near this convenient Shinkansen station location. Thank you very much! I'd love to stay again!

พื้นที่ที่ไม่เหมือนใครที่สร้างขึ้นจากประวัติศาสตร์และประเพณีตั้งแต่ปีที่ 6 ของยุคเมจิ

"Kama Jin Villa" is a long-established restaurant, but the accommodation just opened last year. The room we stayed in was built using materials exclusively from Fukui Prefecture. Starting with the entrance's paving stones made of rare blue-green Shakudani stone, the floor frame crafted from fine wood, a simple yet elegant tokobashira (alcove post) that incorporates natural knots, and beautifully grained wood used throughout, you can feel the beauty of traditional Japanese architecture. The wallpaper, sliding doors, and light shades appear to be made of Echizen Washi paper. If you're knowledgeable about Japanese architecture, you'll likely notice craftsmanship details everywhere. On the other hand, the living room with wooden flooring features antique furniture and Echizen-yaki cups for a mix of Japanese and Western styles that surprisingly harmonize to create a cozy space. The bathroom area combines elements of traditional Japanese design with a stylish modern atmosphere. Meals were served in "Kiku-no-Ma," which is also used as part of their restaurant facilities. Dinner included luxurious dishes such as beautifully presented appetizers (hassun), hamo fish soup with grilled eggplant, sashimi platters, Wakasa beef steak, steamed kinmedai fish wrapped in yuba skin, steamed eel and sticky rice wrapped in magnolia leaves—each dish deliciously prepared using premium ingredients. Breakfast featured historical and traditional items like pickled red taro stems (Suko), simmered herring once transported by Kitamaebune ships during Edo times, and local specialty takuan pickles cooked luxuriously—a menu rich in history and tradition. Suko is one item recreated under Kama Jin Villa’s supervision as part of "Murasaki Kibu Gozen," an ancient Heian aristocratic meal displayed at Murasaki Yukari no Yakata Museum. While meals were delightful overall—flavors tended to be slightly strong with generous portions—which might raise concerns about total salt intake for some guests; offering lighter-flavored or smaller portion options could appeal more to seniors or women (though I did finish everything). There are no onsen facilities here nor particularly scenic views due to its location within town; however nearby attractions include Tansu-machi Street lined with Echizen chest furniture shops; Soja Daijingu Shrine enshrining all deities from across Echizen Province; retro-styled Takefu Public Hall Memorial Museum; further afield lies Murasaki Shikibu Park featuring Heian-style gardens overlooking Mt.Hino along nostalgic Furusato walking paths—all offering opportunities for exploring Takefu’s rich history while strolling around leisurely. Despite hot weather during our stay—we appreciated thoughtful hospitality extended by staff members who provided attentive yet friendly service making us feel comfortable throughout our visit at this historic establishment turned accommodation facility. Understanding its unique characteristics allows guests seeking serene relaxation amidst exquisite Japanese architectural spaces paired alongside indulgent culinary experiences truly enjoy their time spent here!

The overall rating for the Accommodation Fee is almost perfect, but to keep it realistic, I included one 4-star rating. While it lacks the glamour of a luxury Hotel, the staff are incredibly kind, and I was able to relax as if I were at home without any inconvenience. Unlike many accommodations where meals are served in large halls or dining rooms, here you can enjoy delicious meals at your own pace in a private room without worrying about others. I will definitely use this accommodation again. For those considering staying here, here is some information: - The food is excellent for both breakfast and dinner. It pairs well with Japanese sake. The dining area has TVs where you can watch YouTube and more, so even if you're eating alone, you won't feel bored. Families with small children could let them watch cartoons while adults enjoy their meal leisurely. - The TV in the guest room also supports BS channels—great for BS fans! - The building has been renovated and is impeccably clean and beautiful to the point that it feels almost too nice to use. Now for the reason behind my 4-star rating: - The bath features an Onsen with perfectly warm water that feels silky smooth on your skin—very relaxing! However, the men's bath can accommodate about four people at once with three washing stations available. It's slightly small and lacks an open-air bath (rotenburo), which led me to give it a 4-star rating instead of 5—but there’s no dissatisfaction requiring improvement on this point!

The price was very reasonable, and I had a highly satisfying stay. It was a No Meals Included plan. I traveled by car, and since I read reviews on various sites beforehand about the limited parking spaces, I checked the parking locations using Google Maps in advance. Thanks to this preparation, I had no trouble finding the parking lot or the entrance to the accommodation. Check-in was at 4 PM, and when I arrived accordingly, there were several open spots available for parking without any issues. The entrance is on the 4th floor of a building, but there are signs making it easy to find without getting lost. The atmosphere has a retro Showa-era vibe with vintage-style keys as well—very charming! It seems like it would appeal strongly to those who enjoy such aesthetics. The room itself was clean and well-maintained, especially the bathroom area—it was impressively spotless! A fog-free mirror would have been an added bonus. The view of Sabae's sunset from what seemed like a dining area?—was beautiful. There were also some decorative items that enhanced its retro ambiance further; it felt very nostalgic in a good way. The staff members were kind and friendly; their warm hospitality left a great impression on me. Inside the hotel, there were conveniences like microwaves, kettles, disposable chopsticks as well as cups and plates available for borrowing—all of which came in handy. There is a convenience store nearby; however, note that it's located inside Sabae Station and closes at 8 PM. I felt that my stay offered more value than its cost suggested—I’d definitely consider staying here again! While this place may not suit those looking for modern or brand-new accommodations perfectly polished in every aspect—it’s ideal for budget-conscious travelers who don’t mind older facilities or love retro vibes. Highly recommended!
