We went to Echigo-Yuzawa to see snow for our child’s birthday. When we made our Reservation, the Room was not secured due to reasons beyond the Hotel’s control, but they kindly called us, explained the situation, and arranged another Room for us. From the moment we arrived, the Hotel staff were very thoughtful, and their warm, natural service was wonderful. They also upgraded our Room, and our child was thrilled with how great it was. The baths were excellent as well—the open-air bath while looking at the snowy scenery felt amazing. The food was also very delicious. Above all, everyone who works there provided outstanding service, and it has become a Hotel we truly love. Next time, we would like to stay in spring or summer.

We stayed in a triple Room on the 4th floor, chosen for the location and the building’s age. The Accommodation was clean, and the main areas are efficiently consolidated onto the front desk floor, dining floor, and large public bath floor—streamlined for better or worse. You carry your own baggage to the Room, but I felt a bit hesitant about rolling it along the tatami hallway. The view from the Room overlooked the ski slopes and a Lions Mansion building. The in-room bath has a bamboo blind, but privacy-conscious guests may still mind it. Meals offer selectable dishes and you can order additional items later, so the portions are incredibly generous. We also enjoyed a Japanese sake tasting with Tsururei and Kubota Senju at no extra charge. The large public bath is about what you’d expect for its scale, but there are various types of baths so it didn’t get boring. True to Kyoritsu style, there was late-night ramen and other enjoyable touches throughout. The next day we walked to Yuzawa Kogen Ski Resort; they also provided reliable luggage storage, which was very helpful. Overall there’s little to fault, though it felt almost too optimized—giving it a bit of a business-hotel vibe. A luxurious complaint, though.

This was my first stay here. I was looking for slope-side Accommodation and decided to book this Hotel. In the end, I was very satisfied. The food was excellent and high quality. The Onsen was also fantastic. I enjoyed the shampoo bar. The jacuzzi was great as well. However, it’s a bit small, so I couldn’t use it as much as I wanted. I think an open-air bath would be a nice addition. Still, the ski resort access is outstanding, and the Room was clean—I was very satisfied overall. The snow quality wasn’t great this time, so I’d like to visit again when conditions are better.

I believe this is a very comfortable accommodation in every aspect. This time, we stayed in a modern room. The flooring in the room was sturdy and felt pleasant to the touch, making our stay very enjoyable. The meals were served in just the right portions and were delicious. All the staff members were cheerful, and it was great to see how hard even those from overseas were working. From the matcha welcome drink at check-in to complimentary alcohol and coffee services at the lounge, we felt thoughtful hospitality throughout our stay. After checking out, we were allowed to leave our car and take a walk to explore Yuzawa town near the station, which added to our experience. Since there were two of us, the room differed slightly from what was shown in photos; next time, we'd like to try staying in another room as well.

After skiing on a sunny day, I relaxed in the Onsen and felt wonderfully refreshed. Dinner was excellent, and we enjoyed it with complimentary sake. Breakfast was a tasty, energizing buffet. This is a clean Ryokan where you can stay with peace of mind. They also provided Shuttle Service from the Ryokan to Gala Yuzawa Ski Resort. Everyone was very kind and helpful, and I truly appreciate it. I would love to stay again.

It was a truly wonderful Accommodation! The meals were delicious, the bed was fluffy and comfortable, and the amenities were well stocked! The bath in the Room was great, but the baths in the Hotel—especially the open-air bath—were outstanding! Soaking in the Onsen while looking at snow-covered trees and plants warmed both my body and soul. All of the staff were very courteous, and I was completely satisfied. It was such a lovely place that it made me want to stay longer next time. Thank you very much! We will definitely be back!!

The new and innovative style where check-in, check-out, room keys, and meal tickets can all be managed with just a mobile phone was impressive. The meals were delicious, and the onsen allowed for a relaxing soak, making the stay very comfortable. I would love to stay again if I have the chance.

We visit this accommodation once or twice a year, intentionally choosing the off-season, driving from the city as a couple. During our recent stay, as reported in the news, Futaba temporarily closed its open-air baths to prioritize guest safety due to bear precautions. Although it was disappointing since Futaba's open-air baths are truly wonderful, this measure was not unique to Futaba but applied to most accommodations in Yuzawa Town. However!! Even without access to the open-air bath, our satisfaction level was at its peak!! Every time we visit, we are impressed by the high level of hospitality from the staff, the exceptional quality of meals, the comfort of private dining rooms for dinner, cleanliness throughout the facility, and the relaxing atmosphere of guest room open-air baths. We feel that there are very few hotels that surpass this one in these aspects. The staff always exude a warm atmosphere that feels like they genuinely want us to relax and enjoy ourselves rather than simply doing their job out of obligation. Both my husband and I find ourselves saying "I want to go back to Futaba" as soon as we get on the highway after checking out! Haha We look forward to visiting again for many years ahead. Please take care during peak seasons and keep up your great work!

They responded quickly and kindly even to an unexpected late-night issue, making our stay truly exceptional. I’m now determined to recommend NASPA to everyone I meet. I strongly encourage everyone to make a Reservation and stay here without hesitation!

Since it is right in front of Echigo-Yuzawa Station, getting around was easy with almost no travel needed. I was able to use the foot bath and enjoy cake at the cafe as well. I chose a plan with breakfast only, without dinner. Breakfast felt a little less satisfying than before. Overall, I was satisfied. I booked a Room with an open-air bath and was able to use it many times.

I was able to visit during cherry blossom season. Although there is an additional fee, I highly recommend the private bath. The meals were a satisfying portion, and the property was quiet and very relaxing. The Room was also very clean.

We stayed one night as a family of four (two adults, a 1-year-old, and a 3-year-old) and booked a Room with a private family bath. As this is a long-established Hotel renovated in 2025, the interior was clean, but there were a few things we noticed. Points of concern - Despite being in a snowy area, the guest Room windows are single-pane glass with aluminum frames, so it gets extremely cold near the windows. (There was an air conditioner and a De’Longhi oil heater, so it was fine as long as we kept them on.) - Because of the renovation, the layout is unusual. (The living space sits between the shower room and the semi-open-air bath.) - The Room door is not auto-locking and does not use a dimple key. It’s old and slightly hard to close. (No issues with the lock function itself.) - There were several spots with leaks in the shared hallway. Good points - The Facility amenities seemed high-end (possibly due to advertising partnerships), including ReFa shower heads, hair dryers, hair irons, a De’Longhi oil heater, an LG 70-inch(?) TV, and UCC drip pods. - The buffet meals were free for young children (under age 3?). Since we had included one child meal at Reservation time, there was no refund for that portion; however, our younger child could eat the same food for free. - The karaoke room did not smell like smoke at all, which was great. - The in-house wear was pajama-style and easier to move around in than yukata. (Yukata were also available to borrow.) - After-bath skincare items and tea selections were well stocked. We also received bottled water. - We didn’t get to use them this time, but the post-bath lounge area, small game corner, and welcome drinks also looked nice. The food was neither particularly good nor bad overall. There were many dessert options, which our kids enjoyed.

I stayed here with my daughter for a ski trip. All of the staff throughout the Accommodation provided pleasant, welcoming service. The Room we stayed in faced the station, and we could see the Shinkansen platform at Echigo-Yuzawa Station right in front of us. Since it was a Room for two, I expected it to be small, but it was spacious enough. The Onsen was great: the open-air bath was not too hot and was a temperature we could soak in for a long time, just how we like it. The indoor bath had a large washing area surrounding the tub. The water temperature there felt too hot for us, so we didn’t stay long. There were so many dishes that we couldn’t finish everything; my daughter left a little behind, but both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The freshly cooked rice at breakfast (cooked in a traditional pot) was especially wonderful. This has become one of our favorite Accommodations. We will definitely stay again.

The cuisine, room, Onsen, and hospitality were all wonderful at this Ryokan. The price was also very reasonable. It is located about a 5-minute walk from Echigo-Yuzawa Station, and I loved the location as well. I would like to stay here again if I have the chance.

We stay here repeatedly as our go-to Accommodation for ski trips. [Room & Amenities] The building has some age, but it is well maintained and very clean, so we can stay with peace of mind. Toothbrushes and towels are provided. The refrigerator is a small cube type, but it cools well. The TV was different from the photos: it was a roughly 20-inch LCD TV with an HDMI port, which is very helpful because our kids can connect a game console (some Accommodations disable the ports...). There is also a small electric kettle, teacups, and powdered tea. Wi-Fi can be difficult to connect to depending on the Room. *By the way, mobile reception (Docomo) tends to be weak throughout Maiko, which is always tough. If you use a Japanese-style Room, you need to lay out your own futon bedding; we actually prefer that, so we appreciate it. [Service] The owner is cheerful and always makes us feel welcome. All other staff members greet guests properly as well, making the stay very comfortable. [Bath] It’s a small bath for about 5–6 people, so going when it’s empty is the best chance (lol). The bath area is also very clean and pleasant to use. Body soap, shampoo, and conditioner are provided. [Facility & Equipment] There is a luggage storage area for before/after check-in (a former dining hall) and separate changing rooms for men and women, which is very convenient. The parking lot connects to (is adjacent to) the slopes, so you can unload your gear from the car and start skiing right away. However, although the parking lot is right in front of the Accommodation, you do need to cross the road—please be careful. *It’s not a perfect ski-in/ski-out location, but it’s close enough that you can consider it almost ski-in/ski-out. [Meals] This Accommodation offers No Meals Included only, but you can use a former dining-hall-like space until 20:00 to eat bento meals or similar food there. *Tea dispenser & microwave available; no kitchen; coffee service in the morning only There are also some instant foods and frozen items at reception, so even if you forget to buy something, you can manage. *The nearest convenience store is just under about 10 minutes away by car [Overall Satisfaction] We’re a laid-back family, so being able to enjoy snow sports and our time at the Accommodation without worrying about meal times makes this an ideal place for us. We’re already looking forward to our next stay. [A Request] We would be happy if the Wi-Fi could be improved!!!

They were very attentive, and I felt their hospitality. The property is simple but in a great location, just a 5-minute walk from the ski resort. There is also a shuttle service from the station. Above all, the food is delicious. I would like to visit again next year.

The meals are incredibly delicious. As expected from a rice-producing region, the rice is exceptional! The sashimi and soy sauce were also delightful and left a lasting impression. The room was a bit cold, but with the heater and air conditioner, it became reasonably warm. A humidifier might be a good addition. The water is delicious. Even the tap water tasted great, so I ended up drinking plenty of it. The bath feels like an Onsen but is colorless and odorless without much distinctiveness. However, it does warm your body well. That said, the changing room was quite cold in November, so I wonder how it will be in mid-winter... If heaters or stoves are provided, there shouldn't be any issues though...

Experience your first family glamping trip, a world apart from old-fashioned tents. Enjoy ground golf upon arrival, relax in the Hotel bath, and toast with wine during a BBQ dinner. The abundance and quality of the ingredients left everyone fully satisfied. The Room was comfortable with air conditioning, and the gentle breeze after sunset was pleasant—though it was unfortunate that we couldn't see the stars! The next day started with an early morning walk with our beloved dog, feeling absolutely refreshed. After soaking in the morning bath, we enjoyed a breakfast buffet at the Hotel filled with variety and delicious flavors that impressed us all. After checking out, we worked up a sweat playing disc golf before heading home. It was truly a satisfying trip! We were deeply grateful for the staff's smiles and efficiency throughout our stay. We stayed here on the second night of our 2-night, 3-day trip to Echigo-Yuzawa. It was conveniently located near the ropeway, and we appreciated being able to leave our luggage there. Although the facility is a bit old, it was clean and comfortable. The Shuttle Service to the station was very convenient. Thank you very much!
