Stayed with my mother. The meals were absolutely exquisite, just as expected. The service was attentive, and the clean room made for a comfortable stay. Although the bath was slightly small, we were fortunate that there were only a few other guests, allowing us to relax and enjoy it. If I may suggest, it would be convenient to have hand towels in the room's washbasin area matching the number of guests staying in that room for face washing purposes. Even with that minor point, it was a very satisfying accommodation.

Kamikochi, a place I had long admired. To celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, we decided to indulge in a two-night stay at the highly-rated "Kamikochi Lemeista Hotel" based on reviews. We visited in mid-September after the holiday weekend, slightly early for autumn foliage. Despite being a weekday, there were many tourists, and the hotel seemed almost fully booked. The lobby area is not particularly spacious but features high ceilings and beautiful stained glass, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The staff's service was excellent; even during busy check-in times, they handled everything smoothly. They also responded kindly to our questions and requests, making our stay very comfortable. We splurged a bit and reserved a Japanese-Western Universal Room on the third floor. From the large windows, we enjoyed breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and Azusa River below—far from the bustling Kappa Bridge area—making this an ideal base for our trip. The room's interior was lovely with excellent amenities that ensured a comfortable stay. Dinner was French-based cuisine; however, on the second day, it incorporated more Japanese flavors with generous portions that left us satisfied both days. The service staff provided detailed explanations about dishes and drinks with just enough humor to make dining enjoyable as well as informative! To all of your wonderful staff members: thank you so much! You made this anniversary trip truly unforgettable for us. If we ever visit Kamikochi again someday—we will absolutely choose your accommodation once more! Looking forward already until next time!

While researching how to visit Kamikochi in winter, I found that Nakanoyu Onsen offers a Shuttle Service to Kama Tunnel, so I stayed there. The staff’s hospitality, the Shuttle Service team, and the Onsen were all excellent. I couldn’t ask for anything more. I highly recommend that everyone stay here as well.

We’d been staying at Accommodations with buffet dining for a while because we were traveling with children, but this was our first Japanese-style Onsen Ryokan in ages—and everything was outstanding. Since it was our first time at Shirahone Onsen, the atmosphere, the baths, and the meals were all wonderfully relaxing. Above all, the friendly, down-to-earth hospitality from everyone at the Accommodation was truly exceptional. It’s become an Onsen Ryokan we absolutely want to visit again.

We stayed for one night on March 29. It was our first time at Shirahone Onsen, and from the moment we arrived, the sulfur scent made us feel like we had truly come to an Onsen. We arrived a little early, but they kindly showed us to our Room so we could relax. At 3:00, it was time for the Onsen—my child and I prefer hotter baths, so the 38°C water felt too lukewarm and we used the heated bath instead. It felt wonderful, and I’d say it ranks among the best we’ve visited. There was also a table tennis set up outside the bath area, which our family really enjoyed. The food was excellent—the meat was tender and delicious. My child is usually picky, but said it was tasty and ate almost everything. We will definitely be back. I gave amenities four stars only because there were no combs or shower caps in the area outside the bath; otherwise everything was perfect.

Relaxed and enjoyed the Onsen at a leisurely pace. The quality of the spring water was excellent, and both the indoor and open-air baths were delightful. It was an incredibly luxurious experience. The Shinshu salmon and Shinshu beef were delicious. The fresh spring water drawn from the rocks was also very tasty, and I had some to take with me. This accommodation truly embodies heartfelt hospitality. I would love to visit this accommodation again.

We stayed as a family of four with my parents. The staff were very kind, and the meals were delicious. The relocated traditional house Room was also very comfortable. Above all, the quality of the Onsen and the atmosphere of the baths were exceptional. The private bath had an artistic ambiance, and the large public bath had a charming atmosphere. This is No. 1 among all the Onsens I have visited so far! Thank you very much.

Thank you for staying with us for one night from October 5th. Originally, we planned to climb Mt. Norikura, but due to bad weather, we changed our destination to Takayama and stayed at your accommodation. The room was "Suzuran." The room featured wood with natural knots on the floor, creating a calm atmosphere. While there was some noise from the neighboring rooms, it was quiet during sleeping hours and did not bother us much. For those who prefer a quieter room, it might be better to reserve a room without adjacent neighbors (such as "Norikura"). The toilet was quite small and slightly inconvenient to use, but it wasn’t too much of an issue overall. As for dinner, it was very satisfying in both quantity and quality. We couldn’t finish the kamameshi (chestnut and sweet potato rice), so we had it made into rice balls to enjoy later in our room—it had a delightful sweetness even when cold and tasted excellent! Breakfast was also delicious Japanese-style cuisine that we thoroughly enjoyed. The private open-air onsen featured milky white sulfur water; it was spacious with just the right temperature—very relaxing! However, the indoor private bath felt narrow; only a small amount of onsen water flowed from the spout, making me wonder if temperature control wasn’t maintained properly—it felt lukewarm and seemed unhygienic while other guests were using it. This part left me slightly disappointed. Overall though, I found great value for money in this stay and am glad I chose this accommodation! The interior has been renovated beautifully—thank you very much!

The meals were delicious and generous in portion size, and we were very satisfied. The free-flowing hot spring water straight from the source was wonderful. We were fully satisfied.

Located just a 15-minute drive from the Sawando Parking Lot in Kamikochi, this accommodation is convenient and easy to access! The building is old with thin walls, but it is thoroughly cleaned. The staff provides polite and attentive service. Upon entering, you’ll notice the scent of sulfur. The onsen features plenty of mineral deposits (be cautious as the washing area can be very slippery). The photos below show: - A wooden deck perfect for stargazing - A spacious post-bath relaxation area - A lounge with manga and magazines Dinner highlights include a hot pot featuring local mushrooms, with an incredible rice porridge to finish! Breakfast offers freshly grilled salmon and an onsen egg, both served with unlimited Azumino-grown Koshihikari rice—an especially appreciated treat given rising rice prices! This warm and welcoming accommodation offers excellent facilities, delicious meals, and outstanding service. I look forward to staying here again—thank you for everything!

I visited during my childhood and stayed again with my son. It was our first time experiencing the autumn season in Kamikochi, and we were captivated by the beautiful fall foliage and enjoyed trekking. Both my son and I became huge fans of the veal cutlet, so much so that we had it for dinner two nights in a row. We were delighted to celebrate my son's birthday with your unparalleled hospitality.

It was my first trip in a while. The staff were kind, the Ryokan had a wonderful atmosphere, the food was delicious, and the servers were lovely, so I was able to spend a relaxing and enjoyable time. Thank you very much. I would love to visit again.

I visited for a stay after skiing at Hoonoki-daira Ski Resort. The open-air cypress bath made by the owner's father was very pleasant, and I enjoyed it twice, at night and in the morning. I really liked the temperature of the water, its size, and the view. The food was also very delicious, and we ended up drinking too much sake, but both my wife and I were very satisfied. With skiing, onsen, and delicious meals, this is a property I definitely want to visit again.
