As it was the snowy season, the entrance and parking area were a bit hard to find, but a staff member came out to help us. The Room had been renovated in a very modern style while keeping the best features of a Japanese-style room, so we stayed very comfortably. We also enjoyed the intriguing “soba French” cuisine. It was an Accommodation that made us want to stay one more night.

Your skin will feel smooth, soft, and silky. The flowers arranged by the hostess were beautiful, symbolizing the thoughtful care of the accommodation. It was a cozy and charming accommodation where you can enjoy delicious irori-style cuisine.

We stayed here after viewing the cherry blossoms at Takato Castle Ruins Park and Kozenji Temple. We were satisfied with almost everything. If I had to mention one thing, I would like a power outlet by the bedside in the Room, as it’s convenient for charging a phone. Other than that, the Onsen, meals, and staff service were all excellent. The cuisine in particular had a Kyoto-style touch, and we enjoyed each dish. This is an Accommodation we would like to stay at again if we have the chance.

Last time we visited during a hot season, so this time we came by train hoping to see snow. The area around the Accommodation was just as we’d hoped, with beautiful snowy scenery. We walked through the snow in the spacious garden (the fluffy cold-weather gear provided in the Room was incredibly useful), lit a fire in the Room and enjoyed the sauna, and had fun with some grown-up “playing with fire,” like making a bonfire and roasting marshmallows. Time flew by. I’m still kicking myself for missing out on the baumkuchen. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the staff were kind—overall it was a wonderful stay. We’d love to come again.

We stayed here to celebrate our 42nd wedding anniversary. The Facility shows its age, but it was well cleaned and we had a comfortable stay. We were very satisfied with the meals, and the bath was also pleasant. The whole cake we requested as a surprise was very delicious. It became a wonderful memory—thank you very much.

With Mt. Ontake right in front of us, and being on the first floor, it was convenient with both the bath and dining area close by. It was great that we could use the bath at any time, and the Onsen was excellent. The meals were delicious as well. Thank you very much. We were able to get away from everyday life and relax at a leisurely pace.

It was a very nice Accommodation. It’s an old building, but it has a lot of charm. Everything is well maintained, and the view of the Southern Alps from the window was amazing! There was a welcome dessert—pudding?—in the fridge. I planned to eat it later, but I was too full and couldn’t, sorry. We chose the small-portion Plan, but it was very delicious and more filling than expected, so I’m sorry we couldn’t finish it. Breakfast was also excellent. The large public bath is on the small side. There are 6–7 shower stations, one indoor bath and one open-air bath. (They switch between morning and evening.) The Onsen water is silky-smooth and leaves your skin feeling soft. All of the staff were very pleasant as well—it was a comfortable Accommodation. We’d love to come again.

We stayed here for a ski trip. The service from all the staff was excellent. The meals used local ingredients, and with helpful explanations, everything was delicious. We were able to relax in the large public bath and the open-air bath, but when opening and closing the door, it seemed like the ventilation was strong—there was a whistling sound and the door felt a bit hard to move. It was disappointing that we couldn’t see the starry sky due to bad weather, but we hope to enjoy it next time.

I stayed here when visiting Kiso-Fukushima Ski Resort. It’s in a great location in the center of Kiso-Fukushima, close to the station, and only about a 20-minute drive to the ski resort. I chose a Plan with dinner, and you select from 5–6 set-meal options. I picked the Sanzoku-yaki, and it was delicious with a perfectly crispy coating. Breakfast was buffet-style, with homemade side dishes as well as beef tendon curry, tonjiru (pork miso soup), minestrone, natto, fruit, vegetables, yogurt, and several kinds of bread—everything was very tasty. I had seen some Reviews saying there weren’t many items, but that wasn’t true at all; I ended up taking too much and was completely full. The building itself feels older, but it was very clean. The TV and sink were new, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches like a small table between the beds and an extension cord provided. The drink bar doesn’t include alcohol, but there’s a wide selection and you can take drinks back to your Room, so I used it many times. There were also many kinds of tea bags available—all of them were good. Each floor has a water dispenser with Kiso water as well, which I also used repeatedly. The large public bath is an Onsen that helped soothe my tired body after skiing. My companion was surprised that with this quality and service it cost under 9,000 yen per person. We were extremely satisfied and had a very comfortable stay—it’s easy to see why so many guests return. I’d love to stay again when visiting Shinshu even outside ski season.

Booked a great-value room at the last minute. There is an Onsen, free tea in the lobby, and all the staff were very helpful. They also introduced us to the stone-paved streets of Ochiai, which made our trip very fulfilling. Thank you.

This time, as it was for skiing, I intentionally chose a very simple Room, so I apologize for not being able to give a high rating. I deeply appreciate the excellent service and meals provided at a very high level. Next time, I will take my time to enjoy my stay. Thank you very much.
