I made a Reservation because I was drawn to the rare location of a Hotel set deep in the Yanbaru forest, and I was truly amazed by the extraordinary atmosphere—it hardly felt like Japan. On the day of our stay, we arrived much later than our dinner Reservation time due to traffic and caused inconvenience, but we were warmly welcomed with a welcome drink. When we entered the Room, we were surprised at how impeccably clean it was, and even the amenities and fixtures looked almost unused. The toiletries were luxurious—Guerlain for shampoo and other bath items, Mikimoto for skincare—and the hair dryer was a ReFa. They also had everything you could hope for when traveling with children: a child toilet seat and step stool, as well as a diaper pail and diaper bags. We really appreciated it. Not only was the selection excellent, but the staff’s service—polite yet never stiff—was truly comfortable. We stayed here for sightseeing in Okinawa, but this Hotel stay became our best memory.

We stayed as a family of four with my parents and our 2-year-old toy poodle. The room was convenient and allowed us to enjoy a relaxing stay. The staff were friendly and made our experience pleasant. Additionally, there was a walking path right next to the hotel, which was very convenient! It was an accommodation we would love to visit again.

We had a great time relaxing in the sauna and the open-air bath with a jacuzzi! We took the train from Tokyo to stay at UMICHA, and enjoyed the 30-minute walk from Kazusa-Ichinomiya Station to UMICHA while taking in the rural scenery and picking up supplies—it went by in no time, and it was an experience you can’t usually have even within the greater Tokyo area. In the evening, we unwound with a BBQ and sauna, which washed away all our everyday fatigue. We’d love to stay again if we have the chance!

This was my first stay, and the Accommodation exceeded my expectations. Every dish was delicious, and you could really tell how carefully everything was prepared. The view from the Room was wonderful—the sparkling beauty of Toyama Bay, the majestic Tateyama Mountain Range, and the awe-inspiring sunrise truly moved me. The Room was clean and tastefully designed, and I was able to relax and unwind. This is an Accommodation I would definitely like to visit again.

Not only was the Room wonderful, but the host was truly kind. Even though I contacted them just two days in advance to plan a surprise celebration for my companion, they prepared a message plate and even decorated the Room for us. I’d love to stay again.

The staff were kind and courteous, and we had a comfortable stay without any unpleasant experiences. The bath was spacious, so we could relax and unwind, and our whole family enjoyed bathing several times. Breakfast was light and easy on the stomach, and we also enjoyed the wide selection of drinks in the refrigerator. Above all, the views of Irabu Bridge and the ocean were stunning. This is an Accommodation we would like to stay at again on our next visit.

Following our stay last autumn, we once again received the very best hospitality this time. The requested dishes were also exquisite. Since COVID, we’ve stayed here several times a year, and each visit I’m amazed at how much the owner’s wife’s cooking keeps improving. It was so impressive I almost wanted to say, “Please call the chef!” The meals—made with care to bring out the best in the ingredients, with special attention to dashi and plenty of time—are truly perfect for someone like me who values additive-free food. I was also happy to enjoy my favorite kinmedai (splendid alfonsino) sashimi. This time, because of work, it was still too early for cherry blossoms and they were only buds, but we had two wonderful days of relaxation at Respaito. Thank you as always! I think we’ll be able to visit again before summer, and we’re looking forward to seeing you both.

This was the nicest and most comfortable, user-friendly Accommodation we’ve stayed at. Having a washing machine was a huge help since we were staying as a family of five.

After completely falling in love with Felice Villa Suite in Ueno,, I became curious about other areas as well,, so this time I stayed at Nagahama Bay. Both Uenoand Nagahama have their own charms,,andI foundit hardto choose between them. The hospitalityof thestaff,andthe excellenceandcompletenessof boththeRoomandFacilitywere equallyhighatbothlocations,andI hadanotherverycomfortable stay. AsforRoomlayoutandinterior,Nagahamahasamodern,andstylishatmosphere thatI reallyloved. The livingarea has ahighceiling,makingit feel evenmore spacious. The terracewasalso large,andthe sunrise rising beyondthemangroveforestwas trulybeautiful.At night,the starryskywas incredible—so clearit felt likeyou couldreachoutandtouchthem—andit wassoothing.The environmentis trulyflawless,andI thinkyoucanfullyenjoythenatureofMiyakojimaandIrabujima. BecauseofitslocationonIrabujima,the surroundingsarequietandverycalm.There isn’talarge supermarketnearby,sothavingacar ishelpful;however,a restaurantnextdoorservesdeliciousshabu-shabu,andbreakfastcan alsobe delivered(andit’s delicious),soI thinkyoucanfullyenjoya relaxingstaywithoutgoinganywhere. There wasa greatselectionofdrinksinthe refrigeratoraswell,andif yourequestrefills theybringthemrightaway—truly attentivein everyway. ItwasJanuary—andunusuallyforMiyakojima,a coldwavehappenedto arrive—soitfelt abit chillyat times,buton sunnydaysduringmy stay,I couldstillusepool.Sinceitis heated,itwas muchappreciated.Barbecuingontheterracewasalso fun. I willdefinitelyvisitagain.

It was a wonderful villa. Mount Fuji was right in front of us, and we could see it clearly thanks to the great weather! The meals were all delicious, and we were very satisfied! We brought our dog along, and they had so much fun playing around. We would love to stay here again. Thank you very much!

We stayed here to celebrate my wife’s birthday. First, we truly appreciated the kind pickup from Aizuwakamatsu Station. On top of that, you guided us to some well-known local sights and even stopped by the most famous one, Tsuruga Castle. It was our first time in Fukushima and we didn’t know much about the sightseeing spots, but thanks to all your helpful information, it made us want to come back and explore Fukushima more slowly next time. After arriving at the Accommodation, we were served matcha in a separate annex from the main residence, and you also showed us a beautiful Japanese garden. We were told it looks different with spring cherry blossoms and autumn foliage as well, so we’d love to visit again in another season. When we entered the main residence, you showed us classic antiques and a Room that used to be run as a traditional restaurant. It really built up our excitement about what our Room would be like. Since it was located underground, we assumed we might not be able to enjoy any outside views—but the moment we opened the door, there was an incredibly spacious and beautiful modern Japanese-style Room beyond anything we imagined. With unlimited drinks available and plenty of beverages stocked in the refrigerator, we were already thrilled. To our surprise, there was a river flowing just outside the window. The balcony was stylish and spotless, and there was even an elegant fireplace—everything was wonderful. The bath let us fully enjoy Higashiyama Onsen (Onsen), and it even came with a sauna; it was perfect. Dinner featured their most famous basashi (horse sashimi), along with Fukushima’s local dish kozuyu, tempura manju buns, sakura nabe (horse hot pot), celebratory dishes for special occasions, and more—an abundant meal with great variety. The basashi in particular was overwhelmingly delicious—better than anything I’ve ever had—and honestly made us want to come back just for that alone. Since it was my wife’s birthday trip, you also surprised us by preparing a birthday cake. Your hospitality went above and beyond—we were truly moved. Thank you very much. Breakfast was also excellent: Koshihikari rice cooked in a traditional hagama pot along with many side dishes such as salmon, rolled omelet (tamagoyaki), sea bream carpaccio (tai), eel (unagi), and more. There were so many options that everything tasted so good I ended up having multiple refills of rice. Checkout time felt far too soon—we’re sincerely grateful for such an Accommodation where you simply want to stay forever. You also drove us back to Aizuwakamatsu Station on departure day; it really was attentive service from start to finish. We will definitely return in another season. Thank you again for everything.

We stayed here to celebrate a birthday!! The birthday decorations were set up, and the towel swans were beautifully arranged—so lovely!! The staff were professional, very kind, and wonderful!!! With a jacuzzi and a pool, we could truly relax, and we will definitely come back again!! Thank you so much!!!

This was our second stay with our dog. Our first visit was so wonderful that we made another Reservation right away. The outstanding location right in front of you and the beautiful night view were amazing, and just like last time, the rooms were spotless. We especially love the underfloor heating throughout the bedroom, living room, and bathroom—our dog loves it too! The amenities and pet supplies were also very well stocked, with nothing missing. This time we chose the BBQ course, so we checked in early and enjoyed it at a relaxed pace as a slightly late lunch. The meat was tender, and there was more than enough food. On the terrace, listening to Japanese bush warblers and other small birds while relaxing with our dog, we were able to spend a truly lovely time. We would love to stay again next time.

The Room size, facilities and amenities, cleanliness, and the breathtaking ocean view are all flawless. I think it offers far better value for money than staying at a nearby Resort Hotel. However, you may be a bit confused if you arrive expecting a typical Hotel. There is no front desk or management office; instead, it’s an Airbnb-style setup where you enter the PIN sent to you after completing pre-registration. In my case, the registration email ended up in my spam folder, so I didn’t know what to do on site and only figured it out after calling the emergency contact number. I tried to upload the required ID documents for verification, but the connection was poor and it was difficult; in the end, I had to get the PIN by phone in quite a rush. If you complete pre-registration in advance, check-in should be smooth, and from the second stay onward there likely won’t be any issues—but it would be helpful if IKYU clearly noted these differences from a standard Hotel in the Facility description as well. Please also note that there is no elevator. In addition, the entrance floor is made of stepping stones with water around them. It may look stylish, but if you drop your phone or anything similar it’s game over, and it’s inconvenient when carrying heavy luggage—so there seems to be room for improvement.

Our family of five plus one dog stayed here. From the moment we arrived and opened the Accommodation door, our family couldn’t stop exclaiming in amazement! The indoor setting and amenities, the BBQ area, thoughtfully designed bedrooms based on a clear concept, a huge garden with a pool and sauna, a giant trampoline and well-equipped playground gear, electric scooters and a tandem bicycle—honestly, one night wasn’t enough. There was more than we could possibly finish: craft beer, cup noodles, snacks, coffee and tea bags, plenty of mineral water—everything was perfectly prepared with guests in mind. Next time, we’d love to come back during pool season with relatives and friends. It turned into the best family trip!

I stayed for one night on my way back from checking in on my mother at my family home, where I live apart. I was exhausted, but the staff’s warm hospitality and delicious meals truly helped me relax. For breakfast, I chose the salad breakfast. It was quite a generous portion, but I finished it all while admiring the careful preparation. After check-out, I even came back again and enjoyed lunch as well. The pieris in the garden was also very soothing. I would love to visit again during the autumn foliage season.

We stayed for one night on our last day in Yakushima. The Room was even more comfortable than we expected, with nothing lacking, and the turndown service and the thoughtful 25th wedding anniversary celebration at dinner were truly wonderful. Although we made an affordable Reservation knowing that lounge service was unavailable due to renovations, not only were there services in the lounge and by the poolside, but drinks in the Room (except wine) were also inclusive, so we could enjoy an aperitif. I wasn’t feeling my best at dinner and couldn’t finish everything, but there was a great variety on the menu, and we appreciated the sommelier’s careful explanations and delicious selections. Breakfast was also excellent—there were more breads than we could possibly finish, and every one of them was delicious. The only minor point was that the coffee we requested for after the meal was served early on, and by the time the ordered soup and egg dish arrived, we had already finished all of our bread. Above all, what impressed us most was the Hotel’s location—the breathtaking view when we arrived and stood at the entrance—and especially the large bath in our Room with 24-hour circulating water. It was such a wonderful Hotel that it made us feel there’s no need to travel to overseas resorts anymore.

It was a wonderful Hotel. I was very satisfied with both the Onsen and the meals. The Room was spacious and spotless. The in-room amenities were Bvlgari Eau Parfumée. Whenever I went to the Onsen, I was the only one there—almost like having it privately reserved. The Onsen provided MIKIMOTO shampoo and other toiletries, as well as Otsuka Pharmaceutical skincare products. I would love to stay again.

This was my third visit yesterday. The Onsen is wonderfully gentle on the skin and absolutely satisfying, but the meals and wine at the restaurant were, as always, outstanding. There were many dishes you can’t experience elsewhere—like lightly searing fish stuffed with olives yourself right at the table. With freshly baked bread, it was hard not to keep enjoying more wine. An Accommodation where you can savor such delicious cuisine with your dog and also fully enjoy the Onsen—I’d love to stay again. Thank you for your continued hospitality.

Breakfast and dinner, an open-air bath and sauna, an indoor bath, in-Room amenities such as a bedroom projector, the private detached-villa setting—and above all, the warm and attentive hospitality of the staff—made this a truly wonderful Accommodation. Reservation and meals This is a small Accommodation with only eight Rooms, all in detached villas, yet the level of satisfaction is surprisingly high—I can wholeheartedly recommend it. I made a Reservation on IKYU for a breakfast-included Plan, and later was told by phone that dinner could be added, so I requested the Standard Course (11,000 yen). Since we had booked Takachiho Shrine’s night kagura performance that evening, we asked about timing and they responded very flexibly: “We’ll note that you’re going to night kagura,” and “We’ll confirm your preferred start time upon arrival.” It felt like they could accommodate us because there are seats reserved for each party staying at the Accommodation. This time we started dinner at 18:00 to match the 20:00 performance; both the food and presentation were delightful. We enjoyed it at a relaxed pace but ran slightly short on time, so they held our dessert for us. When we returned from night kagura, they delivered it to our Room—an incredibly thoughtful touch. If you want to fully enjoy everything without rushing, I recommend starting at 17:30. Dinner The meal comes with an entertaining storytelling presentation in a picture-card style inspired by Takachiho’s myths and night kagura. Dining while listening to the story feels special and becomes a memorable part of your trip. Every dish was delicious; there was great attention to tableware and plating as well, making it visually enjoyable too. The staff were cheerful, kind, and courteous—the quality of their hospitality truly impressed me—and dinner left me completely satisfied. Breakfast Breakfast is served in the same private dining room with no self-service at all. The table is set with an adorable cover sheet and handmade illustrated guidance cards; you begin with non-alcoholic amazake as a gentle wake-up drink. Beautifully arranged original dishes inspired by Takachiho follow—each one thoughtfully crafted and fun to eat. Dessert is included even at breakfast, along with an effect using dry ice to evoke Kunimigaoka’s sea of clouds. I admired their commitment to detail right through to the end. Room All Rooms are standalone villas with private gardens. Each garden has an authentic sauna plus a generously sized open-air bath. There aren’t many shared spaces, but instead you get excellent bathing facilities and video equipment so you can relax comfortably in your Room. We also appreciated their thoughtful touches such as cushions for night kagura outings (and even flashlights), along with snacks. This is an outstanding Accommodation that made me certain I want to stay again without fail.
