Following our stay last autumn, we once again received the very best hospitality this time. The requested dishes were also exquisite. Since COVID, we’ve stayed here several times a year, and each visit I’m amazed at how much the owner’s wife’s cooking keeps improving. It was so impressive I almost wanted to say, “Please call the chef!” The meals—made with care to bring out the best in the ingredients, with special attention to dashi and plenty of time—are truly perfect for someone like me who values additive-free food. I was also happy to enjoy my favorite kinmedai (splendid alfonsino) sashimi. This time, because of work, it was still too early for cherry blossoms and they were only buds, but we had two wonderful days of relaxation at Respaito. Thank you as always! I think we’ll be able to visit again before summer, and we’re looking forward to seeing you both.

We stayed here for my husband’s birthday trip. We chose this place after looking at the photos and reviews online. When we arrived, we were greeted right away, and everyone was very welcoming. As for the baths, we were extremely satisfied with the variety: a private open-air bath, a family bath (indoor), a large public bath, and an open-air bath in the Room. Each had a relaxing atmosphere, and we could soak in peace. Dinner featured traditional mountain cuisine with many dishes. The salt-grilled yamame trout was especially delicious. Breakfast focused on wild mountain vegetables, and we enjoyed it while saying how healthy it would be to eat like this every day. All staff provided excellent service with warm smiles, and we were able to spend a truly relaxing time. My husband was very happy as well. We would love to visit again.

This is our second stay at the accommodation following last month, as part of my mother's therapeutic visit. Everything is absolutely perfect. The staff, the people we pass by in the facility, and even other guests staying for similar purposes all exude kindness and warmth. The bath, in particular, has a unique and charming atmosphere. Unfortunately, due to work commitments this year, it will be difficult to visit before it closes for the season. However, once it reopens next year, I am determined to bring my mother back here again.

A pool? Seriously surprised—didn’t expect an Onsen Accommodation like this! The meals are kaiseki, brought out course by course, though the timing felt a little off. Still, the food is elaborate and excellent. The century-old cedar is amazing—beautifully maintained. It might be the first time I’ve ever thought a cedar tree was truly beautiful.

Not only was the Room wonderful, but the host was truly kind. Even though I contacted them just two days in advance to plan a surprise celebration for my companion, they prepared a message plate and even decorated the Room for us. I’d love to stay again.

The Onsen quality and the abundance of hot water were excellent. The service and the staff’s attentiveness were also outstanding. This time we stayed in a Room with a private open-air Onsen bath, and the open-air bath had a wonderful atmosphere. It was located beside the private garden, yet connected by a wooden veranda at the same level, so we could enjoy the garden while bathing and gaze at the stars at night—an amazing experience. The Onsen water flowed continuously, so we could bathe anytime we felt like it, and we could fine-tune the temperature by adding hot water. The large public bath was also very good. In particular, I loved the design of the large public bath straight ahead from the lounge (on the left). A highly recommended Accommodation.

I made a Reservation because I was drawn to the rare location of a Hotel set deep in the Yanbaru forest, and I was truly amazed by the extraordinary atmosphere—it hardly felt like Japan. On the day of our stay, we arrived much later than our dinner Reservation time due to traffic and caused inconvenience, but we were warmly welcomed with a welcome drink. When we entered the Room, we were surprised at how impeccably clean it was, and even the amenities and fixtures looked almost unused. The toiletries were luxurious—Guerlain for shampoo and other bath items, Mikimoto for skincare—and the hair dryer was a ReFa. They also had everything you could hope for when traveling with children: a child toilet seat and step stool, as well as a diaper pail and diaper bags. We really appreciated it. Not only was the selection excellent, but the staff’s service—polite yet never stiff—was truly comfortable. We stayed here for sightseeing in Okinawa, but this Hotel stay became our best memory.

This was the nicest and most comfortable, user-friendly Accommodation we’ve stayed at. Having a washing machine was a huge help since we were staying as a family of five.

After completely falling in love with Felice Villa Suite in Ueno,, I became curious about other areas as well,, so this time I stayed at Nagahama Bay. Both Uenoand Nagahama have their own charms,,andI foundit hardto choose between them. The hospitalityof thestaff,andthe excellenceandcompletenessof boththeRoomandFacilitywere equallyhighatbothlocations,andI hadanotherverycomfortable stay. AsforRoomlayoutandinterior,Nagahamahasamodern,andstylishatmosphere thatI reallyloved. The livingarea has ahighceiling,makingit feel evenmore spacious. The terracewasalso large,andthe sunrise rising beyondthemangroveforestwas trulybeautiful.At night,the starryskywas incredible—so clearit felt likeyou couldreachoutandtouchthem—andit wassoothing.The environmentis trulyflawless,andI thinkyoucanfullyenjoythenatureofMiyakojimaandIrabujima. BecauseofitslocationonIrabujima,the surroundingsarequietandverycalm.There isn’talarge supermarketnearby,sothavingacar ishelpful;however,a restaurantnextdoorservesdeliciousshabu-shabu,andbreakfastcan alsobe delivered(andit’s delicious),soI thinkyoucanfullyenjoya relaxingstaywithoutgoinganywhere. There wasa greatselectionofdrinksinthe refrigeratoraswell,andif yourequestrefills theybringthemrightaway—truly attentivein everyway. ItwasJanuary—andunusuallyforMiyakojima,a coldwavehappenedto arrive—soitfelt abit chillyat times,buton sunnydaysduringmy stay,I couldstillusepool.Sinceitis heated,itwas muchappreciated.Barbecuingontheterracewasalso fun. I willdefinitelyvisitagain.

The Facility, amenities, meals, and service were all perfect. The Onsen was especially wonderful. If it were closer, I’d visit often—truly an outstanding Accommodation. It was quiet and relaxing, and I was very satisfied. The staff were also kind.

We stayed here to celebrate my wife’s birthday. First, we truly appreciated the kind pickup from Aizuwakamatsu Station. On top of that, you guided us to some well-known local sights and even stopped by the most famous one, Tsuruga Castle. It was our first time in Fukushima and we didn’t know much about the sightseeing spots, but thanks to all your helpful information, it made us want to come back and explore Fukushima more slowly next time. After arriving at the Accommodation, we were served matcha in a separate annex from the main residence, and you also showed us a beautiful Japanese garden. We were told it looks different with spring cherry blossoms and autumn foliage as well, so we’d love to visit again in another season. When we entered the main residence, you showed us classic antiques and a Room that used to be run as a traditional restaurant. It really built up our excitement about what our Room would be like. Since it was located underground, we assumed we might not be able to enjoy any outside views—but the moment we opened the door, there was an incredibly spacious and beautiful modern Japanese-style Room beyond anything we imagined. With unlimited drinks available and plenty of beverages stocked in the refrigerator, we were already thrilled. To our surprise, there was a river flowing just outside the window. The balcony was stylish and spotless, and there was even an elegant fireplace—everything was wonderful. The bath let us fully enjoy Higashiyama Onsen (Onsen), and it even came with a sauna; it was perfect. Dinner featured their most famous basashi (horse sashimi), along with Fukushima’s local dish kozuyu, tempura manju buns, sakura nabe (horse hot pot), celebratory dishes for special occasions, and more—an abundant meal with great variety. The basashi in particular was overwhelmingly delicious—better than anything I’ve ever had—and honestly made us want to come back just for that alone. Since it was my wife’s birthday trip, you also surprised us by preparing a birthday cake. Your hospitality went above and beyond—we were truly moved. Thank you very much. Breakfast was also excellent: Koshihikari rice cooked in a traditional hagama pot along with many side dishes such as salmon, rolled omelet (tamagoyaki), sea bream carpaccio (tai), eel (unagi), and more. There were so many options that everything tasted so good I ended up having multiple refills of rice. Checkout time felt far too soon—we’re sincerely grateful for such an Accommodation where you simply want to stay forever. You also drove us back to Aizuwakamatsu Station on departure day; it really was attentive service from start to finish. We will definitely return in another season. Thank you again for everything.

Thank you very much for your kind hospitality the other day. We were blessed with wonderful weather, and our stay in Amakusa was truly a happy one from the bottom of our hearts. The lovely Room, the magnificent views, the skin-beautifying hot spring, the flavorful cuisine that was also a delight to the eyes, and the tableware by local artists that enhanced each dish. We were also deeply impressed by the fluffy towels and the warm, attentive care from your staff throughout our stay. It was a memorable and wonderful Accommodation that made us want to return again. Thank you again very much for everything.

This is our third stay. Because it’s a whole-house rental, we can relax without worrying about others, and it has become our favorite Accommodation. The water dispenser, ice maker, well-stocked amenities, spacious bath, and comfortable beds for a great night’s sleep… we truly feel we’ve found a wonderful Accommodation. Misaki Port is also a favorite spot for us as a couple. We stay at Irifune and enjoy looking for new places to eat each time. We would love to stay again.

We stayed as a family of three on Monday, March 23, 2026. We had stayed in Kirishima before, but after hearing in a Review that the baths were wonderful, we chose this Accommodation for the first time. We were amazed at how beautifully Sakurajima could be seen from Kirishima. From the main building’s open-air bath, we could also see Sakurajima at sunset—an excellent soak. One family member has difficulty walking, so we gave up our reserved private bath “Akamatsu-no-Yu” and switched to a private bath inside the main building instead; it was a semi-open-air bath and very relaxing. The design of the bath was tasteful, and since it was cherry blossom season, we enjoyed fully blooming sakura while listening to Japanese bush warblers—we went in twice. The meals were delicious and very satisfying. This has become one of the Accommodations we would like to visit again.

This was my first time staying at Nikkei Onsen. The Onsen was simply wonderful!! I’ve already made two Reservations for 2026. I skipped the ice cream to maintain my weight, but my husband really enjoyed it. We’ll be back again.

The Room layout and the open-air bath were wonderful. The trees visible from the Room were amazing. A friend joined me for dinner, and the woman who served us was very pleasant; the other staff were great as well. The entrance and lobby were also very clean, and I was very satisfied. The Onsen water was silky-smooth and left my skin feeling soft and glowing. Thank you very much.

I stayed here on a ski trip. I hadn’t had a good impression of Accommodations around Shiga Kogen Ski Resort before, but this Accommodation was in a class of its own—the cleanliness of the building and Room, the staff’s service, the quality of the Onsen water, and the meals were all excellent. To be blunt, it was far better than you would ever expect from the exterior. The view from the Room wasn’t anything special, but it was an Accommodation that exceeded its price and left me very satisfied. I’d love to stay again if I have the chance.

This is my fifth visit at the end of January every year. Delicious cuisine, exceptional onsen, impeccably clean rooms, and above all, the warm hospitality of the host and hostess make for a truly relaxing stay. It’s a hidden gem of a ryokan that I hesitate to share with others.

This was my second stay. Everything was perfect, both the facilities and the service. I also appreciated the very courteous communication when I contacted you in advance. I booked a dinner-and-breakfast Plan, and truly enjoyed the delicious “Nagato no Harameku Kaze” meal made with local ingredients. Please pass my regards on to the head chef as well. Next time, I would like to visit for a Multiple Night Stay.

I’ve stayed here several times, and I’m always satisfied because I can relax and unwind in a calm atmosphere. The meals are especially wonderful, and the fairy-tale-inspired dishes bring a fresh surprise every time I visit. However, it felt like the shop had fewer items than before. I’d love to come again.
