Hotel Ikoi

Although the location was difficult to find using navigation, we managed to arrive. Since we had requested parking in advance (online), our name was placed on a traffic cone, which was a nice touch. The Room was neatly prepared, and perhaps by chance, the face towels were thick and very nice. Breakfast was also excellent: a variety of items were served in small bowls (including a cat-shaped dish). Unlike the casual offerings often found at Business Hotels, everything felt truly homemade with care, which made us very happy. We definitely plan to stay again.

This Hotel has a warm, homey atmosphere. I stayed here alone for two nights from New Year’s Day, using it for my first “Ojiba-gaeri” in a long time. Although it is close to the shopping street, it was quiet, and it was conveniently located about midway between the shrine and the station. Breakfast was very delicious, and they also served special New Year dishes—I enjoyed them so much I ate more than I should have. Since last summer, worsening nerve pain in my lower back and leg from an old injury had made me need a cane, but despite the cold weather, thanks to my visit to the shrine and this comfortable Hotel, I was able to spend three days walking with little need for a cane. I would like to stay here again. Thank you very much for your hospitality.
