I stayed here mid-trip while touring Shikoku in a campervan, and it was the perfect place to relax and sleep stretched out. The parking lot was spacious, and I had no trouble parking my campervan. I made a Reservation for one night with breakfast included, but there were no places to eat within walking distance, so I had dinner at the Hotel restaurant.The restaurant offered much better value than expected—especially the mussels, which were surprisingly delicious. They also had a great selection of drinks, and I’d like to stay here again.

First, there is plenty of parking, and even customized cars are no problem thanks to the flat lot. The hotel is also very close to the interchange. The exterior has a slightly European feel and doesn’t really feel like Kochi. When you enter the lobby, you’re welcomed by a classical atmosphere and a piano that has been around for over 200 years. The front desk service was, of course, courteous and attentive, but more than that, I felt a genuinely warm spirit of hospitality.It was a cold day, so I went straight to the large public bath. Having a large public bath alone feels like an instant five-rank upgrade. The bath area is well maintained, and there is also a sauna (I don’t like saunas, so I didn’t use it). The Room as well features plenty of classical furniture, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere.The main point for me was whether I could sleep well—and it was an excellent environment in terms of mattress firmness and pillows. I booked with breakfast included; breakfast was Japanese-style with a touch of Kochi character and served with great care. Unlike the rushed feeling of grabbing whatever you want at a buffet these days, it allowed me to enjoy an unhurried and fulfilling morning.Lastly, I felt it was reasonably priced.
