Hotel Laurel

This is my second stay here for work.I stayed in a non-smoking single Room.The front desk staff were very pleasant, and they explained the Facility and services carefully.The building is also clean.- Amenities are available on the 1st floor; you can take what you need freely.- There is no microwave in the Room; it is located on the 1st floor.- Drink vending machines are also only on the 1st floor.- The large public bath is closed.There is a lot of self-service, but I assume this helps reduce costs and staffing to keep rates low, which I find perfectly acceptable.What I especially recommend is the 100-yen breakfast!I stayed for two nights/three days on a No Meals Included Plan and added breakfast at check-in. I only had it on the second morning, but it was an incredible value.It includes Yumepirika rice, daily miso soup, small side dishes, pickles, seven types of furikake seasoning, and natto.Free rice refills are available, and you can also have coffee after your meal.For just 100 yen, it almost feels too cheap.If you’re staying nearby, definitely give it a try!

First visit to Shizunai in 40 years. I stayed here due to an unexpected errand. Although the Hotel is a bit old, I was generally satisfied with its location and service. I stayed in a single Room and was pleased to find a large sofa, as I enjoy relaxing on sofas. Additionally, since I had an early departure and no time for shopping, it was great that local specialties like Hidaka kelp and sake were available for purchase in the lobby—definitely a high Point for me. Breakfast starts at 7 AM, which didn’t fit my departure schedule this time, but I’d love to try it during my next visit!
