Asama Onsen Kurazukuri no Yado Higashi Ishikawa Ryokan

[Light Meals / Dining Area] A satisfying, just-right portion size—especially appreciated by women. Same-day Reservation also OK! (Dinner & breakfast included) ...Stayed on the above Plan[Guest Room & Amenities] Stayed in an 8-tatami room on the second floor. The toilet and wash area had been renovated, so there were no inconveniences. Amenities were more than sufficient.[Staff & Service] For someone like me who doesn’t want anything excessive, it was exactly what I needed. The warm send-off at check-out was a nice touch.[Onsen & Bath] Since there weren’t many guests, I was able to enjoy the large public bath almost privately, which was very satisfying. The private bath is not time-slot based—it's available whenever it's open. I used it for a morning bath; the semi-open-air setting felt great.[Meals] Although it was a light Plan (?), both the quantity and quality were plenty. Both dinner and breakfast included mountain vegetables, giving a real sense of Nagano’s local flavors.[Facility & Equipment] The traditional Japanese-style building has plenty of history and charm. As access to the second floor is by stairs only, I felt that older guests would be better off staying on the first floor.*I would definitely consider staying again.*

We stayed as three families of relatives. As the title suggests, it was truly wonderful. This cozy accommodation with around 10 rooms allowed us to enjoy the onsen in a private-like setting and spend our time peacefully.
