Bijin no Yu Sagae Onsen Hotel Symphony Main Building

The Hotel’s Facilities are old, but they have been well cared for and kept in excellent condition. The staff were courteous, but the best part by far was the breakfast—it was simply delicious. I will definitely stay here again whenever I visit Sagae.

Located in the central part of Yamagata Prefecture, Sagae City is an ideal base for exploring Yamagata, situated at the crossroads of major highways. On the day of our visit, there was a festival, and although there was some minor traffic congestion, we enjoyed seeing many mikoshi (portable shrines) after dinner. The dinner seems to improve with every visit. The flavors were gentle, and every dish was incredibly delicious. Each dish was carefully prepared with great attention to detail—truly impressive work. We had a wonderful time chatting with the staff about Sagae City and Kahoku Town as well as learning about local festivals and meat soba noodles. Breakfast was served buffet-style; while there were fewer meat dishes and fruits available, the delicious local cuisine more than made up for it. The rice served was Tsuyahime—a variety that remains tasty even when cold—and it left us completely satisfied.Overall, this Hotel offers excellent value for money and is highly recommended for everyone!
