Yunishigawa Inn

When we stayed at this Ryokan for the first time in summer, we learned about the Yunishigawa Snow Festival!So this time, we came to the festival with my husband, our daughter, and two grandchildren.We’re so glad we chose to return—this Ryokan is absolutely worth revisiting.Above all, the staff are warm and welcoming, which made us feel truly at home. The proprietress was also friendly and wonderful.We were especially happy that everyone was so kind to our grandchildren.(Thank you for patiently playing rock-paper-scissors with our grandchild again and again.)Of course, the Onsen water quality is excellent—we enjoyed it many times.Each dish was delicious and the portions were satisfying; the local sake was great as well.There was also a Shuttle Service to the snow festival venue, which was a big help since we had small children with us.We’d love to come again next year during the Snow Festival season.

This is a repeat visit. We have always enjoyed the day-use Onsen during our stream fishing trips with my son, and I had always wanted to stay here with my family someday. This was our first visit since spring, and we were once again well taken care of. The Onsen at this accommodation is the best in my opinion. The open-air bath has just the right temperature and always provides relaxation. During this visit, we also used the private family bath by splitting into two groups, which was also excellent.For meals, I recommend trying the three types of sake tasting set. We chose a plan that included venison sashimi dishes, which were delicious. Our room was "Shirakaba," the same as when we visited in spring. Although it was cold outside, at 2 PM during check-in, sunlight warmed up the room nicely. However, it got chilly quickly after sunset so we closed the windows.I highly recommend ordering Onsen eggs as souvenirs—they are incredibly tasty! At ten for 500 yen, they are very affordable.We look forward to staying here again during next year's spring fishing season opening!
