Hotel Livemax Tokyo Shintomicho

I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. I have used Hotel Livemax at several other locations as well. I always feel that the amenities (for women) could be a bit more comprehensive. This time, breakfast included a bento box and tea. Although the contents were the same for both days, it was delicious. On the day of departure, I noticed my suitcase contents were wet and looked up to find water leaking from the ceiling. Fortunately, it wasn’t severe, but it was quite surprising.

I stayed with some hesitation due to the poor reviews, but I found it to be generally fine without any major issues. However, considering there are several good Hotels in the same price range nearby, this Hotel might leave a relatively less favorable impression in comparison. Below is a list of both positive and negative points I noticed during my stay: [Positive Points] - Affordable price - Standard quality with no significant problems - Electricity and refrigerator work without inserting a card - The bento meals were tasty considering the price point - Convenient location near the station and convenience stores - Easy-to-find route from Exit 3 of Takeshi Oden Shop by walking straight down one street inside - Luup station located right in front of the Hotel is very convenient [Negative Points] - Thin walls overall (sounds from outside or neighboring rooms are audible) For example, when stepping outside, I could hear my own TV sound clearly as well as voices of people passing by. - Room video pamphlet was still dated December. - Bento meals were the same every day. - Ventilation fan noise became bothersome once noticed. - Placement of body soap and other amenities was inconvenient (other places often have them mounted on walls for easier access). - Posters displayed were all about yakuza-themed movies which felt intimidating (likely related to supporting their image character Takanori Yamamoto). - TV casting did not work; while it responded, VOD interfered preventing proper display. - HDMI cables couldn't be connected either; only regular TV channels could be watched. (Other places often allow HDMI connections so I usually bring my PC for screen sharing or music playback but couldn’t do that here.)
