Kinosato Yama no Yu

This was our first stay at this Ryokan with two dogs and a family of four. We’ve stayed at other pet-friendly Ryokan before, but Kinosato Yama no Yu was the best.As long as pets are on a leash, they can walk around freely. They also lend pet carts and pet yukata free of charge, and there is a dog run on the rooftop. Best of all, while pet meals are available for an additional fee, there were more than ten delicious-looking options to choose from—and we could go to the dining room together and eat together with our dogs. The staff also set up partitions for us, so we could enjoy breakfast and dinner in a relaxed semi-private space.Both dinner and breakfast were excellent, and the shabu-shabu was outstanding. We were completely full. The attention to detail was wonderful as well. In my personal opinion, it was great that they provided yukata and jinbei-style pajamas, plus well-stocked amenities with individual bath sets in baskets—so it felt like we hardly needed to bring anything. After bathing, there were complimentary drinks by the elevator too.This was the first time I’ve stayed at such a well-equipped Ryokan. We were able to forget everyday life and truly relax. We definitely want to stay again, and for anyone with pets, this place is absolutely worth it. Thank you very much.

This was our first stay, and we were truly impressed by the wonderful hospitality. The Room was adorable, and there were cute touches everywhere. The bath is free-flowing, with excellent water. It’s very dog-first, and you can feel the thoughtful care in so many details. Our dog seemed to love the Onsen water that’s always available and drank it again and again. And dining together with our dog was the best—everything was delicious, and we ate a lot.There were so many choices of yukata for dogs that it was hard to decide, but we were able to take some adorable photos. Thank you so much. We’d love to come again! Please continue being an Accommodation where guests can spend time with their dogs, and a model for other Accommodations as well. Thank you in advance.
