Kamenoi Hotel Aomori Makado

When I visit my family home, I think it would be hard on my elderly mother to prepare bedding and meals, so this time I invited her and we stayed here. The building itself feels a bit old, but overall it was clean. Since it was a weekday and not very crowded, everything went smoothly without waiting at check-in, meals, the bath, or the elevator.After check-in, when we went to our Room, the futons had already been laid out, so we could relax and spend time in the Room. However, there was no mattress—only one thin futon—so it felt a little firm. (We used an extra futon that was in the closet.)The meals were a buffet featuring Aomori specialties. There was a wide variety of dishes and we were very full. At breakfast, it was great to have freshly cooked rice made in an individual hagama pot.The bath was spacious with plenty of washing stations, and there were various shampoos to choose from, so I tried some I don’t usually use. The bathing area was cold and the shower pressure was somewhat weak. The air conditioner in the changing room and the ventilation fan were covered in dust; if they were cleaned, the climate control might work more effectively.All of the staff were courteous and helpful, and we were satisfied with our stay. We stayed at this accommodation for a family trip. Both dinner and breakfast were buffets, offering a sufficient variety of dishes that were very delicious. The late-night tantanmen served after dinner was just the right portion and mildly spicy, making it enjoyable for the kids as well. In the large public bath, we could choose from several types of shampoo, which delighted my daughter. The bath itself was very relaxing. The guest rooms and the entire facility were clean and comfortable, allowing us to have a pleasant stay. We would love to stay here again if we have another opportunity!
