Unzen Onsen Seiunso

The Onsen was wonderful.The Hotel and Room were very clean and well maintained, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. My friends and I were all very satisfied!Highly recommended.

As you cross the mountains and enter the Unzen Onsen area, the scent of sulfur becomes stronger. The bluish milky-white Onsen is visually appealing, and you can immediately feel its rich quality upon entering. Since it was my first time at Unzen Onsen, I couldn't compare it to other hot springs in the area, but it was a charming and high-quality bath. Truly impressive! Even in January, the water is warm, and you stay cozy long after bathing. During winter, with a significant temperature difference between the water and air, both outdoor baths and indoor baths are filled with soothing steam for ultimate relaxation. Since it was a weekday, I could enjoy three private-like sessions—after check-in, after dinner, and early morning.I stayed in a Standard Twin Room. Both the building interior and room were modern and impeccably clean, making my stay very comfortable.For dinner, we chose the Standard Plan (Unzen Seasonal Kaiseki). The portion size was just right for us as a couple in our 50s. The individually prepared kamameshi rice dish was freshly cooked and delicious.Breakfast included a set meal as per plan expectations; however, the rice was so tasty that I had seconds to fill up.From check-in to meals to check-out, all staff provided excellent service—thank you very much! As it's far away from home for us to visit often, we may not return frequently; however if we do come back to Unzen again someday—we would love to stay here once more!
